VCCircle Bengaluru Investment Forum 2011

Bengaluru, one of the major Indian economic centres, is the fastest growing metropolis in the country. In addition to presenting attractive investment opportunities in Bengaluru itself, the city has acted as a window to deals and investment opportunities across various sectors not only in Karnataka, but also in its neighboring states Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

These markets have witnessed successful investments and exits for investors in addition to large M&A transactions. On the data front, Bengaluru has witnessed more than 480 private equity deals valued at $5.8 billion and 300 M&A deals valued at $4.5 billion. While South India, comprising of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala in addition to Karnataka, has seen more than 1000 private equity deals valued at $15 billion and 800 M&A deals valued at $14 billion. The sectors leading these deals have been in the Information Technology, Infrastructure, Industrials, Healthcare, Real Estate and Consumer discretionary segments.

Today as a large number of investors turn to these markets for investment opportunities, there is a significant increase in the number of attractive enterprises across various sectors. To help PE, VC investors, M&A advisors make inroads into the investible and attractive opportunities mushrooming in the city and other parts of South India, VCCircle launches its 3rd edition of its successful Bengaluru Investment Forum on 24th June, ITC Royal Gardenia, Bengaluru. The forum will bring together more than 250 participants comprising CEOs, CXOs of large and mid-sized companies from South Indian states in addition to partners from private equity and venture capital funds and policymakers.
