Mr. Prem Rajani is the founding partner of Rajani Associates with a valued experience of more than 23 years. Prem has been fortunate to have his career evo lve with the evolvement of Foreign Exchange Laws in India. He has been lucky to study and practice FERA along with FDI Policy as soon as the same was introduced in India in 1991 and also see the advent of FEMA and its evolvement. Priyanka Roy, Partner, IndusLaw
Priyanka’s practice focuses on private equity, mergers & acquisitions, banking & finance (including financial regulatory advisory) and corporate advisory.
Priyanka began her career with the corporate legal department of ICICI Bank Limited and has worked in leading Indian law firms, (erstwhile) Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Company and then J. Sagar Associates, where she was a partner.
Priyanka has advised companies and funds alike at various stages in the funding cycle, be it early stage, growth capital or strategic capital raises across sectors, including e-commerce, real estate and the financial sector. She has advised Indian corporate houses on strategic acquisitions (by way of asset purchase, share buy-outs and court approved mergers and de-mergers) in various sectors including steel, chemical manufacturing and the machine tools sectors and also on shareholder and promoter settlements and corporate consolidation.
In banking and finance she has advised on several large syndicated financings in the infrastructure sector involving multi-national banks, securitised debt placements (including for microfinance companies), derivatives, municipal bond offerings, financial product development and placements by financial institutions and banks. His transactional practice includes advice on Transaction Structuring, Entry strategies, Cross Border Mergers & Acquisitions and Foreign Exchange Regulations. He also liaises with Government Regulators on a regular basis.
Probir has considerable experience in the Venture Capital & Private Equity Practice, and has been involved in providing structuring advice for Venture Capital / Private Equity Funds and has assisted in setting up the overseas & India operations of the funds including assisting the funds in making investments in portfolio companies.

Prof. Praloy Majumder is a bachelor in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) with Finance specialization.
Praloy Majumder started his professional career as a banker, with Syndicate Bank. Then he worked with ICICI Bank Limited, one of India’s largest banks. He has looked after a variety of functional areas including Branch Operations, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, and Treasury Operations. In 2001, he was in charge of Banks corporate banking portfolio for Mid Cap clients in Eastern India. In the year 2001, he joined Alumnus Software Limited, a software company engaged in the development of high-end soft ware as its Chief Financial Officer. He looked after the entire finance and accounts function of the company. Prof Majumder is currently in freelance consulting and training in the field of finance. He has conducted trainings for most of banks and financial institutions in India. He is also a visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, one of India’s top business schools, where he teaches both students at post-graduate level, as also executives undergoing management programmes.
Prof. Bala Dharan, Visiting Professor and Sr. Lecturer, Harvard Law School
Dr. Bala Dharan, Ph.D., CPA, is Robert B. and Candice J. Haas Professor and Senior Lecturer at Harvard Law School and Research Affiliate at MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also a Managing Director at Berkeley Research Group, an international business and litigation consulting firm. Professor Dharan has provided consulting and expert testimony on corporate finance, accounting and auditing, business valuation, and corporate governance issues. He has been invited three times to the United States Congress to testify on financial reporting issues, and has been a frequent invited speaker at various corporations and industry conferences. He has provided valuation and strategic consulting for several start-up businesses, and helped co-found a software technology business serving the banking industry.
Professor Dharan is an award-winning teacher and has designed and taught dozens of corporate executive education offerings at Wharton School, Rice University, Indian School of Business, and other institutions. He has been a professor or visiting professor at leading global business schools, including MIT Sloan School of Management, University of California at Berkeley, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Indian School of Business, and Jones School of Management at Rice University. His research centers on the strategic use of financial information by managers and investors. He is co-author of four textbooks.
Professor Dharan is a Certified Public Accountant (USA) with ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) credentials. He has a B.Tech degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, PGDM (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and MS and Ph.D. degrees in accounting from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.

Prof. Parikh is the Founder President of FLAME. She was a faculty at IIM-Ahmedabad for over 30 years and Dean from 2002 to 2005. She has taught at INSEAD, Fontainebleau (France) and Texas A&M University. She has specialized in organization development and design, and institution building. She has designed and offered management and leadership development programs in public sector, private sector and multinational organizations. She has been a consultant to various national and international organizations. Prof. Indira Parikh is also on the board of several companies.
She is a coach for many leading and upcoming organizations. Her current work focuses on facilitating learning and development of Management and employees across levels in the context of organizations growth.

Prof. Massimo Massa, Rothschild Chaired Professor of Banking & Professor of Finance, INSEAD
Massimo Massa is the Rothschild Chaired Professor of Banking and Professor of Finance at INSEAD, where he teaches international finance, corporate finance, asset management, behavioral finance and governance in MBA, EMBA, PhD and Executive programs. He graduated summa cum laude from the Department of Economics at the LUISS University of Rome, Italy. He has obtained an MBA from the Yale School of Management and an MA and a PhD in Financial Economics from Yale University. He is CPA and Auditor.
His research interests include asset management, corporate finance, behavioral finance, and financial intermediation. Dr. Massa has published articles on mergers and acquisitions, alliances, capital structure, dividend policy, share repurchases, risk management, initial public offerings, dividend policy, mutual funds, hedge funds, short-selling, behavioral biases, banking, financial intermediation, market microstructure, international finance, role of media and social networks in the financial markets, ownership structure, corporate governance, family firms.

Dr. Massa has been consultant with several companies on strategic issues related to governance, risk management, corporate financial and growth strategies. At INSEAD, Dr. Massa co-directs the Hoffman Fund for research in ownership and family firms.
Dr. Massa has created and manages the INSEAD Executive Master of Finance. Dr. Massa is the program director of the International Directors Programme, the Advanced Asset Management program, the Interalpha Banking program, the Strategic Banking program as well as the programme of Value Creation for Owners and Directors. He co-directs the Advanced International Corporate Finance programme and has directed several programs for corporations and banks, including Abn Amro, Maybank, Societe Generale, FinecoBank, Technip, Mubadala, Bertelsmann, Standard Chartered, Mandiri Bank, Alpha Bank, China Construction Bank, RHB, Ambank,VTB.
Dr. Massa’s current research and consulting activity focuses on two main areas. The first is the link between corporate financial strategies, governance and type of ownership and how this affects value creation, risk management and growth in corporations and financial industry (banks and asset management). The second area is behavioral finance and behavioral decision making for CEOs, board members and owners. Dr. Massa’s uses a behavioral framework to study the strategies of asset managers and banks and their synergies. He is currently focusing on Fintech.
Dr. Massa has previously worked in the Bank of Italy in the Banking Division (1989-1992) and in the Research Department (Monetary and Financial Markets Division) (1993-1997), participating in the day-to-day running of monetary policy and on the analysis of the financial markets
