Angad Banga, Chief Operating Officer, The Caravel Group

Mr. Angad Banga is the Chief Operating Officer of The Caravel Group.

Angad joined Caravel as an Executive Director at the Groups’ inception in 2013, before being promoted to his current role in 2016. The Caravel Group Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong, is a diversified global conglomerate primarily focused on providing leading Maritime Services (including ship management, owning and operating) in addition to Investment Management activities across all sectors (including both public and private opportunities). The Group is also engaged in the trading and logistics of industrial dry bulk raw materials.

As the COO of the Caravel Group, Angad has direct operational and managerial oversight for the Group’s Asset Management, Investment, Finance & Operations and Administrative functions. In this capacity, Angad also has responsibility for corporate planning across the firm, which includes strategic investments, balance sheet and treasury management, business development and corporate finance activities. In addition, Angad is also a key member of the Group’s Management, Investment, Risk and Credit Committees.

Angad also serves on the Board of Directors of Fleet Management Limited (a Caravel Group company), Mandarin Shipping Limited, a Hong Kong-based shipping investment company, as well as serving as a Director on several other Caravel Group’s direct private equity investments.

Prior to joining Caravel, Angad was a Principal with KKR, one of the world’s leading global investment firms across multiple alternative asset classes. Based in Hong Kong, Angad was principally focused on investing in Leveraged Buy-out (LBO) transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to this, Angad also ran the Asian Leveraged Finance business for KKR Capital Markets Asia, where he helped finance some of the largest, most complex and highly structured private equity acquisitions in Asia. Angad was a key team member of many notable investments by KKR Asia during his tenure.

Angad began his career as an Analyst in the Syndicated & Leveraged Finance team at JPMorgan in Hong Kong where he provided advice to and raised capital for Private Equity firms and high growth and leveraged companies in Asia Pacific.

Angad is a Member of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board (HKMPB), a Government organization established to steer the future direction of the development of the port and maritime industry in Hong Kong and both a Member of both the Promotion and External Relations and Sub-Committee and the Maritime and Port Development Committee of the HKMPB. In addition, Angad serves on the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA), one of the world’s largest Shipowner Associations, and as the Chairman of the Marine Sub-Committee of the HKSOA.

Angad is on the Board of Visitors of The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College.

In 2015, Angad was named as the “Young Person of the Year” by Seatrade Asia.

Angad graduated with an AB with Honors in Economics from Dartmouth College, in the USA.

Angira Agrawal, Vice President, Vodafone Business Services | @VodafoneIN

Angira Agrawal is the Vice President, Delhi Circle, for Vodafone Business Services. As part of this role, he is responsible for the overall business for enterprise customers across the NCR, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Delivery and Assurance.

Prior to Vodafone, Angira ran the Asia Pacific Sales & Marketing for Accelerite, the product division at Persistent Systems. He has been the Country Manager, Cloud at NEC; General Manager, Enterprise Mobility and Cloud, Tata Communications, and Director, Asia Pacific at Unimobile.  He has also spent time at Oracle as their Regional Manager for SME, and at HCL Technologies.

Angira is passionate about technology, and has worked extensively in creating new solutions and processes to increase customer centricity. He is an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a BE from MSU Baroda.


Angshuman Bhattacharya, Managing Director, Alvarez and Marsal

Angshuman Bhattacharya is a Managing Director and leads consumer products, food and agribusiness for the strategy & diligence practice at Alvarez & Marsal, India. He has over 16 years of experience in industry and consulting, advising companies in areas spanning strategy formulation, supply chain optimization, and mergers and acquisitions. He has advised some of the largest multinational & Indian corporates and advised leading large & mid-cap Private equity funds. Angshuman has also been an active participant and speaker at CII and FICCI and has published various papers on issues related to the Food and Agribusiness sector in India.

Prior to joining A&M, Angshuman was a director at KPMG India’s global strategy group, leading consumer, food and agribusiness. Prior to that, Angshuman has worked in the food industry for Kraft Cadbury and in consulting capacity at the Tata Strategic Management Group in the consumer and retail sector. Angshuman earned an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and has an degree in electrical engineering


Aniket Jalgaonkar, Climate Change Lead - APAC, AXA Climate


Aniketh Jain, Co-Founder & CEO, Solutions Infini

Aniketh Jain is the co-founder and CEO of Solutions Infini Technologies India Pvt. Ltd.,one of the largest cloud based enterprise messaging and communications companies in India. Aniketh handles the business aspects of Solutions Infini, from building strategic partnerships, liaising with network operators and regulatory authorities, spearheading marketing and driving sales to brainstorming and inventing new products, he does it all with élan.

He setup Solutions Infini along with Ashish Agarwal in 2009, soon after graduating in Computer Applications. His business acumen accompanies by Ashish’s technical prowess has helped Solutions Infini metamorphose radically from being a 5-member team to a 100-member, competitive enterprise communications company in a short span of 5 years. His forte lies in business administration, strategic leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and his technical knowledge.

He has taken part in a number of panel discussions, especially at events conducted by IAMAI and JITO. Aniketh was also a keynote speaker at the recently held JITO Connect 2014 and JITO Coimbatore 2014 events. Aniketh has also been on several delegations conducted by NASSCOM to Africa and was also a key part of the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona this year.

He is an active member of 'TIE' - The Indus Entrepreneur, Bangalore Chapter. He is a theatre enthusiast, likes to travel and cook and enjoys sporting activities.

A seasoned tech professional, Anil has nearly 20 years of experience in building complex software applications & systems, technology infrastructure and businesses to drive revenue growth, expand customer base and boost profitability. Prior to this he has worked in various technology development and leadership roles at companies like Amazon.com, Hike Messenger, RealNetworks, Capgemini and HyperQuality.

Anil is Founder and Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures an leading Venture Capital Fund focusing on early stage investments in tech focused companies. He has been one of the pioneers of angel investments in India as head of operations and President at Mumbai Angels and Bangalore Angels, leading Angel Investment forums in India. Anil’s experience includes corporate management functions in medium and large organizations, early stage investment in start-ups, project management, joint ventures and business development.

Anil has helped close over 100 venture-financing deals. Anil serves on the Board of 5 companies and is involved with various incubation centres as mentor in India as well as internationally. He is very well respected and valued in the start-up fraternity and is drawn upon by entrepreneurs for advice and strategic direction. Mentoring start-ups is his passion and he advices Governmental and industrial bodies on the same. Apart from investments, Anil is very active participant in start-up events as speaker or panellist, both in domestic and international circuit. Prior to joining Mumbai Angels, he headed new projects and investment in start-ups with Artheon Group, a Telecom, IT & Energy group. His early career started with heading a branch office at Century Rayon, an leading Indian textile conglomerate, after which he moved to Business Access India Pvt. Ltd. providing consulting services to Scandinavian companies from diverse sectors establishing their presence in the Asian markets. Then he moved to Transasia Biomedical Ltd., India’s largest manufacturer and exporter of bio-medical equipment. Anil graduated in Engineering and Post-Graduation in Management (Marketing) and PGDBM in Strategic Finance and Control.
