Sushant has over two decades of diverse experience in the Information Technology industry. He is leading the Digital Services Business Unit in Sify and closely works with customers in co-creating new age digital led business transformation initiatives.

His prior experience includes leading sales, business development, and product management functions in global organizations including IBM, VeriSign and Red Hat that allowed him to drive successful digital transformation projects, delivering customer satisfaction across Open Source solutions, cloud ready platforms, applications, AI/ML and Analytics.


Sushil Karwa, MD, Krishidhan Seeds

A trained commerce professional, Mr Karwa has been the Managing Director of KSL for the last 14 years. He has led the company with the vision of ensuring that KSL emerges as the largest technology driven agro-input company in India. Under his leadership KSL has emerged amongst India?s top five hybrid seeds companies with operations spanning the country.

His strategic industry insight has enabled KSL emerge from being a seed trading company to a pioneering research & development organisation. His visionary leadership ensured the company made a long-term investment by hiring from a talent pool of scientists and agriculture experts, who were bound to universities during the 1990s, to create a R&D team that has delivered rich dividends.

He envisaged the significant need for Integrated Plant Nutrient Management & Biotechnology in agriculture which led to the formation of M/s Subhash Fertilizer Private Limited (SFPL) in 2000 followed by a separate biotechnology division in 2004.

Mr. Karwa firmly believes that infrastructure demands need to be taken care of before building a strong enterprise. Hence, KSL has incorporated cutting edge; computerized facilities, initiated an autonomous IT Server and engaged a technology savvy workforce efficient in handling SAP.


Sushil Muhnot, CMD, Bank of Maharashtra

Shri S. Muhnot is the Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Maharashtra (a Nationalized Bank) at present. Prior to this he was Chairman and Managing Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) since April 2011. He also held the posts of the Executive Director of IDBI Bank Ltd and MD&CEO of IDBI Capital Market Services Ltd.

In SIDBI he has guided SIDBI in promotion and financing of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India, in adopting new business model and moving away from its conventional approach in financing the sector. Mr. Muhnot’s recent initiatives for MSMEs include setting up ‘Credit Advisory Centres’ and launch of ‘smallB.in’ website to fill the information gap and support new entrepreneurs.

Mr. Muhnot, with over 32 years of experience in Banking and Industry, is a B. Tech, MBA, Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and Masters in Ecology and Environment. As the Head of SIDBI, Mr. Muhnot has overseen working of its associates, viz. SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd. (SVCL), India SME Asset Reconstruction Company (ISARC) and Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE).

At Bank of Maharashtra, Mr. Muhnot has changed the business culture in tune with the profitability of the Bank. His business strategies have changed the focus of the Bank which is now towards the bottom-line of the business rather than top line.

Sutapa Banerjee, Former CEO-Ambit Capital, Independent Director-JSW & IL&FS, Visiting Faculty IIM-A

Ms. Sutapa Banerjee has been the Head of the Wealth Management at AMBIT Capital Private Limited since June 2009. Ms. Banerjee has legacy of working across a varied number of challenging roles in the banking sector for close to two decades. She consults in the Wealth and Investments Management area. In her last assignment, Ms. Banerjee served as the Head of Private Banking in India for ABN Amro and also led the Consumer Banking business in India. Ms. Banerjee started her twelve-year stint at ABN Amro as Head of Consumer Banking in India. She launched the new Private Banking division of ABN AMRO having managed the new division so effectively that by 2006, it was voted among the top three foreign banks by KPMG. Before ABN Amro, Ms. Banerjee worked with ANZ Grindlays Bank where she is credited to have turned around businesses of branches. She was selected as the country representative to head the System Project at Melbourne. She has been a Non-Executive Independent Director of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd. since October 12, 2016. She serves as an Independent Director on several boards of companies (JSW Group, IL&FS Group) and non-profits (Oxfam India and Dignity Foundation). In 2012, she was shortlisted in the 50 most Powerful Women by Fortune India. She is an Advanced Leadership Fellow (2015) of Harvard University. Ms. Sutapa Banerjee holds a post graduate diploma in Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur and is a Gold Medalist in Economics.
