Sumir Verma, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Merisis Advisors
Sumir is the co-Founder and Managing Director of Merisis Advisors (www.merisisadvisors.com) , an investment banking advisory firm, which focuses on the TMT vertical providing both fund raising as well as M&A services to companies in this space. Merisis is currently ranked 4th in the number of M&A deals for this year and counts Ola Cabs, Housing and Snapdeal as its clients.
Sumir has worked across various roles in corporate finance - as part of the Strategy & M&A team at the Aditya Birla Group, M&A at Scandent Group an IT services company and then as a banker at Meghraj and now Merisis. Sumir is a Chartered Accountant and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur.
Sumit Seth, Partner, Price Waterhouse & Co.
Sumit is a Partner in the Assurance Practice of Price Waterhouse & Co (‘PW’) in India and has over 18 years of experience providing professional services to public and privately held companies in various sectors, including emerging and large multinational companies.
Sumit is the leader of IFRS and US GAAP/GAAS technical accounting and reporting for PW in India. He has significant experience with multiple financial reporting frameworks - Indian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP. In addition to his current national office role, Sumit is also involved in client service comprising US GAAP and IFRS reporting clients.
In his national office role involving technical consultations, Sumit is also involved in delivering GAAP/GAAS related technical trainings and firm’s thought leadership publications. He is the editor of PW’s thought leadership publication “PwC ReportingPerspectives” which comprises articles related to accounting, auditing and regulatory matters in the areas of Indian GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP etc.
Sumit is a member of Confederation of Indian Industries’ National Committee on Financial Reporting, which comprises senior members from the standard setter bodies, large accounting firms and industry. The objectives of this committee are to ensure timely identification, discussion and resolution of issues in accounting standards, auditing standards and corporate reporting by providing constructive comments on exposure drafts/proposals and engaging in dialogue with standard setters and regulators.

Sunil runs YourNest, an early stage venture fund he conceptualised & founded in 2011. Sunil is one of the pioneers in the angel investing space in India. He is a successful Angel with global exits to Twitter, PCCW & PayTM in his forays.
Before YourNest he has played pivotal roles in the unprecedented growth of startups like Airtel and of complete business transformations in Dabur. Sunil continues to be an independent director in the group companies of Airtel.

Sunil is a Partner at the New Delhi office with an experience of more than three decades in legal arena. Prior to joining the firm he was with Arthur Andersen and subsequently with Ernst & Young. Earlier he had served for 22 years in the Indian Revenue Service, the Finance Ministry and worked with Commerce Ministry/DGFT on Foreign Trade Policy issues and has experience in handling foreign exchange regulatory laws in enforcement directorate. He counsels several European and North American corporations on commercial and legal matters. His areas of practice including Corporate & Commercial, Joint Ventures & Acquisitions, Employment issues, Litigation and advising on Indirect taxes, as well as transfer pricing in indirect and direct tax.

Suraj Malik is a partner with the Transaction Tax Advisory practice at BDO India LLP.He is a CA with over 15 years of diverse experience with large accounting firms and family office. He has diverse experience in deal structuring, inbound investments, M&A Transactions, corporate restructuring, and private equity. He has led and managed several transactions across multiple sectors such as Media, Hospitality, Real Estate, IT/SEZ and other general manufacturing industries. Swetabh has over 15 years of experience in deal advisory and transaction services. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has also cleared the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CA equivalent in the US) exam from the Colorado State Board of Accountancy. Furthermore, Swetabh was a associated member with the American Society of Appraisers for 7+ years.
During last decade and half, Swetabh has advised more than 500+ high growth companies across India and the US. Currently, he is responsible for leading the India and cross border-focused Investment banking division of Felix. His current service focus area includes mandates involving expert advisory needed throughout the deal cycle for fundraising, acquisitions, investments, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnership.
During his more than a decade old career, he has worked for Ernst and Young, Kotak, Aranca and Credit Suisse. Talha began her professional career at the Mumbai office of J.Sagar Associates (JSA), a leading Indian law firm, before relocating to Bangalore.
Talha graduated from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and is currently registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. She is a Director on the board of the Itech Law Association and the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Internet & E-Commerce.

Tejesh is a Law and Management graduate from National Law University, Jodhpur, with a specialisation in capital markets and securities laws. He has worked with reputed law firms like ARA Law and Finsec Law Advisors in senior positions prior to joining IC Legal in May, 2013.
