Alok Bansal, Co-founder, Policybazaar
Alok is Co-founder of Policybazaar and manages Finance and Operations functions. As CFO, he leads the Finance and Risk department, including Investor Relations and Strategic Planning & Analysis functions. In role as COO for Policybazaar, he works with all Business Unit verticals helping them manage and optimize their operations. He also oversees HR and Admin functions of Policybazaar.
Prior to this, Alok has served as the Director, Finance with First Europa. He has also been part of Office of Strategy Management at Mahindra & Mahindra and done various roles across different GE (General Electric) businesses as part of Financial Leadership Program and Internal Audit Team.
Alok loves taking breaks in hills, is a keen sports enthusiast and an avid reader. He is a B.Tech and PGDM from IIM Kolkata.
Amarjeet Singh, Partner, KPMG India
Amarjeet has more than 21 years of experience in foreign investment and tax consulting. The key sectors focus areas for him includes E-commerce, Retail, Consumer markets, IT/ITES etc. His experience spans across multiple industries like e-commerce, retail, food and agriculture.
His focus includes advising on:
- Inbound and outbound investment into/from India
- Indian Corporate taxation
- Cross border taxation issues: double tax treaty planning, and
- Indian Exchange control and corporate law matters
- He has provided advice to a number of e-commerce companies
He has provided advice to a number of e-commerce companies to structure investments into India through appropriate holding companies in India/ offshore, financial instruments (equity, convertible debts, preference shares etc.), foreign currency loans etc. He has also worked on a number of due diligence and M&A transactions on behalf of foreign investors.
Ameya Khandge, Partner, Banking and Finance, Trilegal
Ameya Khandge is Partner, Trilegal Mumbai and part of the banking and finance group with over 13 years of experience. His experience in this area includes restructuring, structured finance, project finance, leveraged finance and general advisory assistance.
Ameya’s role includes assisting institutions in developing and implementing solutions for complex cross-border structured financings. He has advised Citibank in structuring and implementing India’s first leveraged cross-border re-capitalisation transaction. He is working on a number of restructuring mandates and recently advised a 25 lender CDR consortium in the USD 1.5 billion debt restructuring for Hindustan Construction Company Limited.
Ameya’s key clients include multinational banks/agencies such as OPIC, OeEB, Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Bank, Rabobank and domestic banks such as State Bank of India, Axis Bank, ICICI, and IDBI.
Ameya works closely with Trilegal’s projects clients, particularly in the power sector, in negotiating their project financing arrangements with lenders and financial institutions.
Amit Bajaj, Chartered Accountant, Walker, Chandiok & Co
Amit has over 9 years of experience in Public Accounting and Assurance Services and has worked with EY and PwC at their Hyderabad offices prior to joining Walker, Chandiok & Co’s Hyderabad office in 2009.Prior to moving Mumbai, Amit also worked with Grant Thornton USA in their Detroit Office for 2 years.
Amit has significant experience in the area of auditing, financial reporting and internal control matters of various public and private companies with primary focus on International GAAP services, including U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting.
Amit Bajaj, Director, Walker, Chandiok & Co’s
Amit has over 9 years of experience in Public Accounting and Assurance Services and has worked with EY and PwC at their Hyderabad offices prior to joining Walker, Chandiok & Co’s Hyderabad office in 2009. During the course of his career, he has advised companies primarily in the manufacturing technology and infrastructure space. These included small entrepreneurial businesses and large multinational corporations, including SEC and LSE listed client and companies looking to list on the U.S. and London Stock Exchanges.
He has advised a number of clients in matters relating to revenue recognition, business combination, demerger, service concession arrangement, restructuring and various accounting related matters.
Amit has been a regular speaker at ICAI on accounting and auditing matters.

Amit is a Director with the KPMG Deal Advisory team in India. With 12 years of work experience, He has led more than 100 due diligence engagements. He has extensive experience in working across a spectrum of Private Equity, inbound and Indian clients having assisted in buy side, sell side diligences, carve out, joint ventures, vendor assistance and final negotiations for various transactions.

Amit is a Associate Director with Grant Thornton India LLP. Amit has over eight years of valuation experience. He has been assisting clients in strategic transactions related to investment, divestiture, merger, demerger, fund raising and shareholder disputes.
Amit has also performed various valuations for reporting and regulatory purposes. These relate to ESOP valuation, private equity portfolio valuation, intangible asset, goodwill impairment assessment and post-acquisition purchase price allocation as per IFRS, US GAAP and Indian GAAP.

He has lead & managed a commercial due diligence exercises for clients in India as well as on several cross border transactions (both inbound and outbound) involving US, EU and Japan. Other than CDD Amit has also been involved in strategy / assignments. Amit’s sectors of interest include pharmaceuticals , healthcare ,real estate and infrastructure.

Amitabh Jhingan, Partner, Transaction Advisory Services, Ernst & Young India
Mr. Amitabh Jhingan is a Partner with the Transaction Advisory Services practice in India and leads the Commercial Advisory Services offering for the firm. He also leads the Education sector initiative for EY India and is the Client service Partner for some of the large Corporate and Private Equity accounts of the firm in India.
Amitabh is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years of professional experience.
