Anuj Bugga, Managing Director, Global Risk and Investigations, FTI Consulting India Pvt Ltd | @FTIConsulting

Anuj Bugga is a managing director in the Global Risk and Investigations practice of FTI Consulting and he is based in Mumbai. He has extensive experience in counterparty due diligence, vendor risk management, fraud investigations, employee screening and providing strategic risk mitigation solutions on a broad spectrum of issues and events.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bugga was vice president in Morgan Stanley for seven years as the head of Corporate Security & Investigations, West Asia and Regional Security Audit Director, Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the corporate sector, he spent 16 years in the Indian Army as a combat engineer. As an engineer planning officer and field company commander, he was in-charge of planning and implementing engineering works involving multi-million dollar budgets. During his service in the Indian Army, he conducted complex investigations relating to counterfeiting fraud and the pilferage of military supplies and equipment. Mr. Bugga also served as a field intelligence officer.

Anuj Kumar, CEO, Affle

Anuj Kumar is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Affle. As a founding member, Kumar has played an extensive role in building Affle’s business globally, to countries such as Singapore, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and India, among others. Kumar is further involved in evangelising mobile media amongst leading advertising firms and telecom operators/ carriers. In his current role as business head, Kumar leads Affle’s business worldwide, continuing the success and growth of the organisation.

He has 10 years’ experience in the field of marketing and advertising and has worked with some of the leading companies such as ESPN-STAR Sports, GroupM Mindshare and JWT. Kumar has been an active speaker and participant in industry forums and conferences, sharing valuable insights on themes related to entrepreneurship, mobile advertising and technology innovation, among others.

Anuj Kumar, MD & CEO, Pepper India Advisors Pvt Ltd.

Anuj is an investment management and banking professional with over two decades of experience of investing in / resolving distressed credits and private equity investments. Before joining Pepper India to lead investments in distressed assets, he led investments and restructurings at Kotak Mahindra Bank. At ING Vysya Bank, he was responsible for managing the problem loans portfolio of the bank across retail, SME, emerging corporate and large corporate segments. Anuj managed private equity funds at Axis Private Equity and Sabre Capital and led Merrill Lynch’s proprietary investments in distressed assets in India. In the early years of his career, he was an investment banking professional, primarily with Deutsche, Singapore and Merrill, India. Anuj earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and qualified as a Chartered Accountant before that.

Anuj Kumbhat, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Weather Risk Management Services

Anuj is Co?founder and Executive Director of Weather Risk Management Services Ltd. (WRL) He is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Anuj has over 10 years of experience in project finance and risk management.

In WRL, he is responsible for structuring innovative weather risk management solutions for various sectors. Anuj heads a team of 6 agriculture risk management experts in WRL.

One of the risk management solutions he and his team have implemented successfully in three successive years is providing free weather insurance to farmers through reputed agri?input companies like Dupont, Pioneer Hybrid Seeds etc.

He has also conceptualized and implemented weather index insurance model around contract farming operations where a company shares the cost of insurance by incentivizing contracted farmers during procurement. Large Contract Farming Companies like Pepsico India and ITC Foods have provided
these services to their contract farmers.

His team has also structured very innovative livelihood index insurance solutions like cover small salt producers in Andhra Pradesh (through Care India) or covering Shellac Rearers in tribal Jharkhand (through PRADAN).

Anuj Puri, Chairman , ANAROCK Property Consultants Private Limited

Anuj is an acknowledged expert on Indian real estate both in India and internationally. He enjoys strong relationships with private investors as well as local & global corporates.

Until Feb 2017, Anuj was responsible for overall direction, strategy and growth of Jones Lang LaSalle India (JLL) overseeing a team of over 9000 employees in 11 cities. He was a key member of Asia Pac Leadership Group and Head of Global Retail Leasing Board of JLL.
Soon thereafter, Anuj acquired the Residential brokerage business and Fund Management vertical of JLL in India and runs them independently under his latest venture – ANAROCK Property Consultants Pvt. Ltd. As Chairman of ANAROCK, he currently oversees a team of over 1000 across 8 offices in India & one in Dubai.

With over 27 years of experience in multi-disciplinary advisory and transactions in real estate, he has expertise in planning, undertaking demand assessment studies and transactional services including marketing strategies based on technical real estate market analysis. Anuj has successfully handled marketing of projects within Office, Retail, Hospitality and Residential domains. His vast expertise also encompasses feasibility studies, program requirement derivation as well as fund and investor sourcing.

Under the leadership of Anuj Rakyan – RAW Pressery has grown into a national beverage brand over the past 18 months, spanning five cities and available across modern trade, general trade, horeca, institutional and direct-to-home. Recently, it attracted a seed investment from Sequoia Capital and became the first company in India to acquire the unique HPP technology, which increases shelf-life and maintains nutrition in natural products.

Prior to founding RAW Pressery, Anuj spent the past decade building operations and growing brands in the diamond and jewelry industry with Gitanjali Gems and Nirav Modi Jewels. Anuj began his career as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley and moved from the financial world to brand consulting at FutureBrand in New York. He graduated in economics from Duke University in North Carolina and finished his schooling at Cathedral & John Connon School in Mumbai.

Anuj Ranjan, Managing Partner- Middle East & South Asia, Brookfield Asset Management

Anuj Ranjan is a Managing Partner and Regional Head of Middle East and South Asia, responsible for overseeing all of Brookfield’s investment initiatives and operations. Mr. Ranjan joined Brookfield in 2006 and has held various positions within the company and its affiliates, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and real estate advisory. He relocated from Toronto to Mumbai in 2009, where he helped build Brookfield’s India business, and then in Dubai to further expand Brookfield’s presence in the region. Mr. Ranjan has been involved in over $20 billion of transactions globally. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Anuj Roy, Managing Partner, FIDIUS Advisory

Anuj is a Managing Partner at FIDIUS. He leads the firms Technology and Digital practice and works with clients as they build teams for the digitised world. He has twenty years of professional experience across executive search, consulting and technology. He has built leadership teams for digital and technology businesses including E-commerce, Fintech, EdTech, Logistics, Digital Media, SAAS, Enterprise Technology, Ad-network, Gaming companies amongst others. He has built expertise in working with companies to acquire leadership talent in their journey from start-up to growth stage to large scale businesses.

He has also helped companies across sectors like financial services, manufacturing, consumer, Pharma amongst others in acquiring senior talent as they drive their digital transformation initiatives.

He was heading strategic initiatives at Amba Research managing the inorganic growth initiatives for the firm. At Cognizant Technology, he was based in the US as a part of business consulting team and worked with clients across the US and Europe. He was a part of the leadership team at the business consulting start-up Aptivaa Consulting and worked with clients in the Middle East and South Asia.

Anuj has done his MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and Chemical Engineering from NIT Trichy.
