Anu is an INK fellow, TED speaker, and also serves on the UC Berkeley Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Counsel. Anu has approx. 13 years of experience in M&A, private equity, financial services, emerging technologies (blockchain, payment systems, cryptocurrency, etc) and general corporate advisory.
Anu regularly advises banks, non-banks (NBFCs), asset managers, securities market intermediaries, global information technology (IT) and payments/ fintech players on M&A (both domestic and cross-border) and regulatory aspects. His practice includes advising on cyber-security, financial crimes and regulatory investigations.
He has been invited for several policy initiatives, including as a Member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) – Fintech Working Group; Member of the Legal Advisory Sub-Committee, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Committee on Household Finance (2017); SEBI Working Group on amendments to the Mutual Fund Regulations (2018), etc. He has published on a broad range of topics in a number of scholarly journals in law, finance and economics.

Anubhav Kapoor is Tata Technologies’ General Counsel and Company Secretary and is based out of Pune. Anubhav is responsible for Tata Technologies’ global legal, IP, regulatory compliance and corporate governance practices and policies. Anubhav has about 24 years of experience. Before joining Tata Technologies, Anubhav has worked with Polaris Software, Domino’s Pizza, Allied Nippon to name a few in a similar role.
Anubhav has handled multifarious areas such as structuring strategic business contracts, IPR, global compliance design and audits, legal due diligence, M&A, arbitration & litigation management. Also being a corporate secretary he has also dealt with high visibility boards and handled complex matters including those related to corporate governance, sustainability, insider trading, private & public offerings. He is passionate about innovation and IPR and also heads the Corporate Sustainability and CSR practices globally.
Anubhav experience as in-house counsel spans across various industries including automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, food, banking and insurance software’s and engineering. He has helped corporates devise their IP strategy including setting up of an IP department and led IP teams in large corporates. Mr. Kapoor has also handled contracts and litigations involving complex IP issues and handled patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark infringement cases. He has also been involved with IP issues during M&A, spin-out and joint venture deals during his long career. He has spoken on several national and international forums on topics related to IP. More recently he was listed in Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Strategy 300 (http://www.iam-media.com/Strategy300/) among the world’s leading IP strategist and awarded as Star General Counsel 2017 of the year by Legal Era.

Anuj Bugga is a managing director in the Global Risk and Investigations practice of FTI Consulting and he is based in Mumbai. He has extensive experience in counterparty due diligence, vendor risk management, fraud investigations, employee screening and providing strategic risk mitigation solutions on a broad spectrum of issues and events.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Bugga was vice president in Morgan Stanley for seven years as the head of Corporate Security & Investigations, West Asia and Regional Security Audit Director, Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the corporate sector, he spent 16 years in the Indian Army as a combat engineer. As an engineer planning officer and field company commander, he was in-charge of planning and implementing engineering works involving multi-million dollar budgets. During his service in the Indian Army, he conducted complex investigations relating to counterfeiting fraud and the pilferage of military supplies and equipment. Mr. Bugga also served as a field intelligence officer.

Anuj Kumar is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Affle. As a founding member, Kumar has played an extensive role in building Affle’s business globally, to countries such as Singapore, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and India, among others. Kumar is further involved in evangelising mobile media amongst leading advertising firms and telecom operators/ carriers. In his current role as business head, Kumar leads Affle’s business worldwide, continuing the success and growth of the organisation.
He has 10 years’ experience in the field of marketing and advertising and has worked with some of the leading companies such as ESPN-STAR Sports, GroupM Mindshare and JWT. Kumar has been an active speaker and participant in industry forums and conferences, sharing valuable insights on themes related to entrepreneurship, mobile advertising and technology innovation, among others.

Anuj is an investment management and banking professional with over two decades of experience of investing in / resolving distressed credits and private equity investments. Before joining Pepper India to lead investments in distressed assets, he led investments and restructurings at Kotak Mahindra Bank. At ING Vysya Bank, he was responsible for managing the problem loans portfolio of the bank across retail, SME, emerging corporate and large corporate segments. Anuj managed private equity funds at Axis Private Equity and Sabre Capital and led Merrill Lynch’s proprietary investments in distressed assets in India. In the early years of his career, he was an investment banking professional, primarily with Deutsche, Singapore and Merrill, India. Anuj earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and qualified as a Chartered Accountant before that.

Anuj is Co?founder and Executive Director of Weather Risk Management Services Ltd. (WRL) He is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Anuj has over 10 years of experience in project finance and risk management.
In WRL, he is responsible for structuring innovative weather risk management solutions for various sectors. Anuj heads a team of 6 agriculture risk management experts in WRL.
One of the risk management solutions he and his team have implemented successfully in three successive years is providing free weather insurance to farmers through reputed agri?input companies like Dupont, Pioneer Hybrid Seeds etc.
He has also conceptualized and implemented weather index insurance model around contract farming operations where a company shares the cost of insurance by incentivizing contracted farmers during procurement. Large Contract Farming Companies like Pepsico India and ITC Foods have provided
these services to their contract farmers.
His team has also structured very innovative livelihood index insurance solutions like cover small salt producers in Andhra Pradesh (through Care India) or covering Shellac Rearers in tribal Jharkhand (through PRADAN).
