Sumit Nadgir, Director, India Value Fund Advisors Pvt. Ltd.

Sumit joined IVFA in 2016 and is based out of Mumbai. He is closely involved in supporting and building IVFA companies across different sectors including healthcare, consumer goods, agri and industrial services, etc. He is a Mechanical Engineer from Pune and has a Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.

Prior to joining IVFA, Sumit was a Principal with Bain & Co. where he supported several domestic & multinational firms across sectors including industrial goods & services, textiles, chemicals, infrastructure, health care, consumer goods dealing with growth strategies, operational efficiency, cost reduction, organization effectiveness, etc. Before Bain, he helped set up an engine manufacturing plant for the Kirloskar Group and implement lean systems across their operations. Earlier, he worked with J&J Medical, where he managed the sales of cardiac.

Sumit Puri, CIO, Max Healthcare

Sumit is a management graduate from IIM Bangalore with over 24 years IT Leadership experience in top multinational and consulting organizations in Asia. Sumit is currently working as Chief Information Officer for Max Healthcare leading enterprise digital strategy for Max network of 14 multi and superspeciality hospitals in India. He has a proven track record of successfully leading digital initiatives and process automation in various countries in Asia.

Sumit has won several industry awards for technology innovation in Asia Pacific region based on his team’s work primarily in India, Indonesia and Thailand markets.

Sumit Tayal, Director, Helix Investments Advisors India Pvt. Ltd.

Sumit leads the India team for Helix Investments, a private equity fund backed by the Cullman and Bloomingdale family offices. Helix invests $5-$15mm in asset light businesses across the consumer, healthcare, engineering and services sectors.

Sumita Dawra, Principal Secretary to Government - Transport, Roads and Buildings Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh

Ms. Sumita Dawra, a 1991 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer, is presently serving as the Principal Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh in Roads, Transport and Buildings Department. She previously served as the Principal Secretary of the Department of Higher Education in Andhra Pradesh, where she was instrumental in successful implementation of key Higher Education reforms in Andhra Pradesh, including impressive flow of private investments to the higher education sector, positioning AP Universities in International Rankings, establishing collaborations between AP State Universities and foreign Universities, and so on. Ms. Dawra formerly held the diplomatic position of Minister/Counsellor in the Embassy of India in Beijing, China, for three and a half years, from 2011-2014. She has also held other important administrative positions including (i) Director in Finance Ministry, Government of India, (ii) Managing Director of Urban Finance Infrastructure Development Corporation, Government of Andhra Pradesh, (iii) Collector and District Magistrate in naxalite effected Karimnagar District in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, among others. She has authored two significant books on public policy, (1) 'Poor But Spirited in Karimnagar: Field Notes of a Civil Servant,’ published by Harper Collins India, Oct 2012, a best seller that chronicles her experiences during her years in the IAS and her experience as Collector; and more recently, (2) a book on the Chinese economy titled, ‘China-Behind the Miracle,’ published by Bloomsbury, in Nov 2015, which chronicles the economic story of China and analyses the strengths and weaknesses of the Chinese economy. Both her books have been widely reviewed, and an international edition was also launched for her book ‘China – Behind the Miracle’.

Sundeep Malhotra, Founder & CEO, Homeshop 18

Sundeep Malhotra is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of HomeShop18, India’s first virtual retail enterprise from the Network18 group. He has successfully built the leading home shopping TV channel, largest e-commerce website and now the m-commerce business for Homeshop18. 

A veteran in the retail sector, Sundeep Malhotra conceptualized and established the home shopping industry in India, which today has become an accessible retail platform and credible retail avenue for shoppers and brands.  

Sundeep Malhotra has over 20 years of retail and FMCG experience. Prior to Homeshop18, he was the Executive Vice President Sales for PepsiCo India. Earlier to Pepsi, he had a 5 year stint with Benetton India, as their Head Sales & Marketing for the Indian subcontinent and a 10 year stint with Bata India Ltd, across various functions from Brand Management to Retail Head.

Mr. Malhotra has been a leading voice for the Indian retail industry. He is currently the Co-Chairman of FICCI’s Retail Committee. He has been recognized by numerous awards. He was most recently awarded “Retail Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Star Retailer Awards 2012. 

Sundeep Malhotra is an alumnus of the prestigious Delhi University. He earned his master’s from AIMA Delhi. 

Suneet Maheshwari, EVP- Corporate Affairs, L&T Financial Services

Mr. Maheshwari has over 33 years' experience in infrastructure financing, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity and in infrastructure and energy sector advisory. Before he took charge as Group Executive Vice President - Corporate Affairs, L&T Financial Services, he was the Managing Director & Chief Executive of L&T Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (L&T Infra Finance). He continues to guide L&T Infra Finance as well as other group companies as a member of the Board and other board sub-committees.

He has been closely involved with various infrastructure sector reforms and PPP initiatives since 1991. He has held several positions at industry bodies and government task force for promoting reforms in the infrastructure sector and financing. He is currently a Member of the National Council on Infrastructure at CII. An MBA from Symbiosis Institute, Pune and a Bachelor of Science from Mumbai University, Mr. Maheshwari has also trained in Strategy and Operations Management and Restructuring of FIs and Banks at Harvard Business School.
