Swarup has joined Omnivore Partners in January 2015. Previously, he worked at TechnoServe, developing agricultural value chains across India. After completing his MBA, Swarup worked at Merrill Lynch, making private equity investments in real estate. He started his career as a software engineer at Infosys and SAP Labs. Swarup earned a
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Calcutta.


Swarup Choudhury, MD, ICICI Merchant Services (First Data)

Mr. Swarup Choudhury is currently the Managing Director, First Data India - the global leader in payment technology and services solutions. Prior to taking this role, he was Managing Director Thomson Reuters India/South Asia.

With over 30 years of experience in financial services, banking and technological innovation in India and overseas, Mr. Choudhury has strong relationships across India’s financial ecosystem. He expansive network spans key business groups, corporates as well as government departments.

Prior to Thomson Reuters, Mr. Choudhury was the worldwide Vice President of Financial Services and Technology, at IBM. He led the transformation of IBM India into a world class multi-national company, dominating the enterprise services and solutions space in ASEAN / South Asia. He spearheaded the strengthening of industry verticals like financial services and industrial while launching IBM India’s telecom sector which became the model for the Industry. Further, he robust core banking transformation strategy marked record business growth of IBM’s financial services sector (largest sector) in ASEAN / South Asia

Mr. Choudhury spent 17 years with HSBC and worked there as Senior Vice President & Country Head, Investment Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions for HSBC before joining IBM.  He is credited with the launch of HSBC’s $100 million transaction banking business (payments & cash management) in India, which was the first of its kind and replicated in several other Asia Pacific countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Swarup has been a strong proponent of diversity and ensuring equal opportunities for all - he has actively championed women leaders and tailored business offerings to better serve people with disabilities in ASEAN / South Asia. He set up the Thomson Reuters Board Academy in partnership with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) a unit of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to improve and spread awareness for better governance in India.

His experience and established track record in financial services and technology innovation is helping First Data build stronger business processes & presence in India. His strategic leadership skills in core business areas is helping First Data to accelerate its growth along with leading the charge to help clients grow their business by creatively disrupting the payments landscape in India.

Swati Bhargava is the Co-Founder of CashKaro.com, India’s largest Cashback & Coupons site. At CashKaro, Swati spearheads the Marketing & Business Development team and is responsible for Investor Relations. She is amongst the top 10 women entrepreneurs in Indian ecommerce industry as quoted by Economic Times and one of the top social media influencers in the country. Swati has also represented India at the coveted Blackbox Connect - Female Founders Edition - powered by Google in Silicon Valley, California and is an active keynote speaker in India and internationally.

Swati is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and has worked at Goldman Sachs in London for 5 years before starting UK Cashback business Pouring Pounds along with her husband & Co-Founder, Rohan. The couple launched CashKaro.com in April 2013 in India and pioneered the concept of cashback. CashKaro.com raised Rs 25 crores in its Series A funding led by Kalaari Capital, one of India’s leading venture capital firms and recently raised undisclosed amount from Ratan Tata, chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons.

She has an experience of over 12 years in Management Consulting, Supply Chain Management and Private Equity Operational Advisory Business. Swati pursued BE in Computer Science from Delhi College of Engineering and completed her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Her professional career began with the role of a consultant in the reputed firm, Bain and Co., located in Boston. She further supervised the setting up of India Operations at Opera Solutions-a famed Data Analytics company based in New York, growing it to 100+ employee strength.

T C Meenakshisundaram, Founder & Managing Director, IDG Ventures India

Mr. TC Meenakshisundaram (TCM) is Founder & Managing Director of IDG Ventures India Advisors. He has over 32 years of industry experience, including 13 years of venture experience. Mr. Meenakshisundaram serves on the Board of Lenskart, Zivame, Agrostar, Fintellix, e-Shakti, Creditmantri, Cloudcherry among others. Earlier as part of Walden International’s team, he was involved with investments in Mindtree, Venture Infotek and Jobstreet. Prior to IDG Ventures, Mr. Meenakshisundaram served as the Chief Financial Officer and President - Corporate Services at Venture Infotek, a leading payments processing company in India. Prior to Walden International, he has worked for 14 years at Wipro where he last served as General Manager - eCommerce Division. Mr. TCM Meenakshisundaram is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Chennai and a Chartered Accountant by qualification.


T K Kurien, Chief Executive Officer, Premji Invest (PI)

T K Kurien (TK) is the Chief Executive Officer at Premji Invest. PI is the investment office sponsored by Mr Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro Ltd.

Prior to his current role TK was Vice Chairman & CEO of Wipro Ltd.

In his career spanning over three decades, TK has held several leadership positions encompassing strategic and operational roles.

TK began his career with Wipro in 2000 and has been instrumental in building and scaling many of Wipro’s successful businesses. As a transformational and inspirational leader, he has started and also scaled several diverse businesses in Wipro including Wipro Eco Energy an analytical startup, Business Process Services, Media, Telecom and Consulting business divisions at Wipro. TK is credited with playing a catalytic role in achieving global recognition and leadership for these businesses.

A strong votary of women’s rights, TK is a recipient of the 2014 Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Leadership Award -- a joint initiative of UN Women and the UN Global Compact – for Wipro’s proactive commitment to gender equality.

In May 2014, the American India Foundation, committed to catalyzing social and economic change in India honored TK for his corporate and philanthropic leadership.

TK also served on the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum as well as being a member of the Technology subcommittee of the World Economic Forum.

Before joining Wipro, TK served as the Managing Director of GE X Ray from October 1997 to January 2000. Prior to that, he was the CFO of GE Medical Systems (South Asia).

An influential speaker, TK is a Chartered Accountant by training and has several technology patents to his credit. He has an abiding interest in strategy and history and is an avid runner.
