Valerie most recently served as Head – Strategic Initiatives at mChek, a mobile payments startup in Bangalore, and before that she worked at eBay in California. Valerie earned both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Stanford University.


Vamesh Chovatia, Partner, Tata Capital Healthcare Fund

Vamesh joined Tata Capital in March 2015 as Partner of the Tata Capital Healthcare Fund. He has over 25+ years of experience in investment banking and private equity advisory. His experience spans managing investments and advising businesses across multiple industries. Vamesh co-lead’s the healthcare fund team and will be actively involved in managing the full lifecycle of new fundraising, investing, portfolio management and divestments.


Vamesh Chovatia, Managing Director, NEA

Vamesh Chovatia joined the NEA team in June 2011 as Managing Director of New Enterprise Associates (India) Pvt. Ltd. (NEA India) based in Mumbai.  Vamesh brings with him a total of over 22 years of experience in Private Equity Investing, Private Equity Advisory and Investment Banking.


Prior to joining NEA, he was Director- Private Equity at Kotak Investment Advisors Limited since 2005. He was responsible for originating transactions and investing in several companies like Home Solutions Retail, BVG India, NSE, MCX, Diamond Power Infrastructure  etc. While at Kotak  he also managed investments in life sciences and pharmaceuticals services sector investing in businesses as diverse as drug discovery, contract research, clinical research, biopharmaceuticals etc. and helped build a portfolio of companies like VLife Sciences, Siro Clinpharm, Indus Biotech, Rubicon Research, Bharat Serums & Vaccines. During his stint with Kotak, Vamesh has experienced a full life cycle of successful fund raising, investing and exiting businesses.


Vamshi Reddy, Co-Founder & CEO, Apalya Technologies

Vamshi leads Apalya's efforts in Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Over the years, Vamshi has garnered a lot of respect in the Mobile TV space in India helping make Apalya synonymous to Mobile TV in India.

Prior to starting Apalya, Vamshi worked at Cisco Systems in Information Technology management in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior stints include AT&T, USA and Ernst and Young, USA.


Vamsi Krishna, Co-founder & CEO, Vedantu

Vamsi Krishna is Co-founder of Vedantu, an Ed-Tech startup that offers personalized Live Online Tutoring. Vamsi co-founded Vedantu along with his friends. These are childhood friends who started their first venture in education in 2006 called Lakshya, a Test Prep company in rural Punjab which got acquired by MTEducare, a listed company, in 2012. Vedantu is their second venture together in education. Vedantu was established with the vision of creating a world of learning that is personalized and democratized.

Vamsi completed his B. Tech. from IIT-Bombay in the year 2005 and has been a teacher for more than 6 years. At Vedantu, Vamsi primarily looks after strategy & product roadmap and oversees critical functions like Branding & Marketing. Under his leadership, Vedantu raised USD 5 million in Series A round of funding within just six months of its launch from marquee investors such as Accel Partners and Tiger Global. He has been invited to speak at prestigious conferences such as TEDx Walled City and KINSES 2016 where he presented as one of the winners of EduAwards 2016.

Vamsicharan Mudiam, Country Manager, Cloud Solutions, IBM India/South Asia

Vamsicharan Mudiam (Vamsi), is the Cloud Computing Strategy Leader for IBM India/South Asia. Vamsi is responsible for presenting an integrated ‘one IBM’ view on Cloud Computing to clients and partners. He also looks after strategic initiatives related to Cloud, with special focus on solution creation specific to local market needs. In addition, he also works closely with IBM’s ISV & Developer Relations (IDR) and Channel teams in developing a stronger ecosystem of partners.

 

As part of one of his cloud engagements for IBM, Vamsi began his cloud journey by being a key member of the Cloud labs organization working out of the Silicon Valley labs.

 

In his previous role, as the head of Cloud lab in India (Bangalore), Vamsi led a team of architects and developers who had made significant contributions to IBM’s Cloudburst development and also various other engagements locally and globally. He was also responsible for spearheading the implementation of a lab wide Dev/Test Cloud in the India Software Lab which is an integrated platform that includes integration with other IBM IT support systems.

 

Vamsi has been with IBM for the last 13 years, and most recently headed the IBM Cloud lab out of Bangalore. He has been part of the IBM Cloud journey for the past 3 years, leading a team of architects who have added value to IBM's Cloud offerings and customer engagements.


Vandan Kamdar, Founder, Learning delight

Hailing from a business family, Vandan always had a keen business sense, and he further refined this acumen, while pursuing his business degree at Nirma University, after completing his bachelors in Electronics and Communications. It was also the time that he met his now business partner and co-founder Harshal. They spent many evenings talking about wanting to set up an independent business, and one that served a larger purpose, besides profitability. With a keen interest in wanting to gain experience independent of his family business, Vandan saw Learning Delight as the right opportunity to not only fulfill his dream of building a business from scratch with Harshal, but also one that had a vision for the greater good of the society.
