Dhananjaya Tambe

Mr Dhananjaya Tambe started his career in 1985 as a Probationary Officer in Corporation Bank in Mangalore, where he was posted in the Agriculture and Rural Development Dept. in the Head Office of the Bank. In 1986 he joined the Central Bank of India as a Probationary Officer and served in their Pune City, Sarole and Itwari (Nagpur) branches.

He joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1987 in the Ahmedabad Circle of the Bank. After serving in the Baroda Main branch of the Bank for five years in various divisions, such as Personal Banking, International Banking and Small & Medium Enterprises Banking, he was transferred as Accountant at GACL Ranoli branch of the Bank for one year.

Thereafter, he served in the Human Resources Department of the Bank’s Local Head Office in Ahmedabad, where he was instrumental in introducing the concept of computer-based Human Resources Management System, and codifying the Bank's instructions related to human resources.

Mr Tambe served as the Branch Manager of Chavaj GNVFC Complex branch near Bharuch in Gujarat from 1999 to 2001, and during his tenure the branch was computerized and also won the Best Customer Service award. For the outstanding work done in Chavaj GNVFC Complex branch, he was elected to the Chairman’s Club of the Bank. During his tenure in this branch, he introduced the concept of centralised processing of retail loans on automated platforms.

In 2001, he was posted to the Bank's New York branch as Vice President (Deposits and Remittances). During his tenure at New York branch, he was instrumental in upgrading the policies and procedures of the branch, especially those related to BSA/AML. ACH as a mode of remittance was introduced during his time. He developed a computer program for handling redemption of India Millennium Deposits in December 2005, to ensure that the process is fully compliant with the U.S. regulations.

Upon his return to India in 2006, he was posted as the Regional Manager of Surat region in Gujarat, and had 45 branches under his control. He was instrumental in expanding the presence of the Bank in Surat, by adding 14 new branches in 2007.

In 2008, he was transferred to the Bhopal Circle of the Bank as the Circle Development Officer and contributed to the strengthening of the Human Resources Management System, and the fixed assets inventory management system of the Bank.

In 2009, Mr Tambe was posted to the Global IT Centre of the Bank for leading the Integrated Payment Hub Project. In 2011, he became the Dy. General Manager of Internet Banking Department, and during his tenure, many new functionalities were added to the Internet Banking services. He introduced certain features in Internet Banking which ensured that the Bank was able to achieve a zero-fraud status in Internet Banking since July 2012. He was also instrumental in setting up of a Dedicated Accounting Unit for Internet Banking transactions, so that transactions with third parties are properly reconciled.

He served as General Manager (IT-Infrastructure) from 2013 to 2014, and was instrumental in introducing wireless connectivity for the Bank’s branches.

In 2014, he was appointed as General Manager of Network-1 in the Kolkata Circle of the Bank and was responsible for the business operations of the Bank in the city of Kolkata and the districts of North 24 Paraganas, Nadia and Murshidabad.

In 2015, Mr Tambe was elevated to the rank of Chief General Manager, and was posted as Chief General Manager (IT-Operations) of the Bank at the Global IT Centre at Belapur. His vertical handled, among others, Financial Inclusion and Government Payment Schemes, the back-office operations of Core Banking System, Pension Payment System, the Complaint Management System, the User Acceptance Testing, management of Human Resources of IT Department, Human Resources Management System, the physical infrastructure of the IT Department, and the Reconciliation and Settlement Systems.

From August 2016 till April 2018, Mr Tambe was Chief General Manager (IT-Transformation, Collaboration and Marketing) and is responsible for the Innovations, Social Media, Project Management, marketing of I.T. products, etc.

Since May 2018, he has been elevated to Dy. Managing Director & Chief Information Officer.

David Lorenz

David Lorenz is an HPE NonStop sales person from Tampa Florida with over $300M in direct sales to the finance, telecommunications, DoD, and retail industries. Working with smaller companies and partners to help expand the HPE NonStop partner ecosystem through ITUG and more recently Connect organizations has long been a passion of David’s. More recently David has been the HPE representative at NACHA ( US ACH association) and the NACHA payments alliance as he sees tremendous opportunity to evolve and expand the NonStop operating environment beyond the card networks and into the rapidly evolving mobile finance marketplace. 

Working closely with customers in the telecommunications and financial services industry over his career gives David a very unique perspective on their convergence. dlo has a keen interest in monetary history and the geopolitical and social events that are driving the rapid evolution that is happening in payments today.

Shailesh Paul

Shailesh Paul is Vice President and Head of Merchant Sales & Solutions India and South Asia. He is responsible for leading Visa’s merchant acceptance strategy, Visa’s merchant, acquirer and payment facilitator partnerships as well as the CyberSource business in the sub-continent.

Shailesh joined Visa in 2006 and until recently led Merchant Partnership Development & Co-brands for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He was previously Head of Product Development, Asia Pacific at Visa and was the regional lead for core product development & specialized sales. Prior to that at Visa, Shailesh was Regional Director, Debit Products for Southeast Asia & Australia. Shailesh joined Visa from Standard Chartered Bank where he was Head of Credit Cards and Personal Loans, Qatar and held various management positions in India.

Shailesh holds an undergraduate business degree and an MBA, both from India. His international career spans leadership positions in Asia Pacific, India and the Middle East.

Dr. N. Rajendran

Dr. N. Rajendran is responsible for the entire Technology Infrastructure - including operations, projects, infrastructure architecture, data centre management, IT security and implementing key strategic initiatives. Spearheading the technology solutions, Dr Rajendran has been responsible for perfecting NPCI's system, processes and controls that essentially require quality standardization to support the goal of the company that is - 'Touching every Indian by 2020.'

After receiving National Financial Switch (NFS) from IDRBT in 2009, Dr Rajendran played responsible role in carrying out the overall functioning and developed it with utmost care. He efficiently led the transformation from INFINET application to NPCINet, which has now robust architecture and supports over 100 member banks with more than one lakh ATMs and about 100 lakh transactions per day, collectively. He is credited as one of the key founders of National Financial Switch and played a crucial role in architecting and establishing NPCI's biggest Payment network - NPCINet. Under his leadership, NPCI has been able to achieve some of the technology benchmarks including - PCI DSS certification project, data centre establishment & data centre migration, new network of NPCI NET for NFS, CTS, RuPay, ACH, APBS, IMPS and AEPS.

With having over 22 years of technology experience, mostly into payment system, Dr Rajendran has managed key portfolios mainly into - designing, implementing and operations at some of the biggest financial networks in the country - Indian Financial Network(INFINET), NFS and NPCINET, which include ATMs, POS, Payment Gateway, Payment Switch, Network Security, Network & System Administration, Infrastructure Development, Information Security Management, and consulting experience with large banks.

He has earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, after completing MCA and B.Sc in Applied Physics. He has been a member of the working group on 'Network and Security Standard for e-governance', and worked as a co-investigator for the R&D project - 'Protocol and Security Frameworks for Mobile Payments', under Ministry of Information Technology.
 

Sameer Maheshwary

Sameer Maheshwary has over two decades of experience in business leadership and senior finance roles. Before joining Pine Labs, he spent the majority of his career with GE. He has worked extensively in the areas of payments, retail and corporate lending, credit cards, equipment leasing, receivables financing and real estate financing. He also brings international experience ranging across Japan, USA and South East Asia.

Sameer holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Manchester Business School, UK. He is an avid reader and likes to play golf in his free time

Prior to his current role, he was Managing Director - IDC India and South Asia. Under his leadership, IDC India was conferred the CIO Choice Award for “IT Advisor of the Year” three years consecutively in 2014, 2015 & 2016. Jaideep has been awarded the “Patrick J McGovern IDC Entrepreneur of the Year 2015” for consistent excellence in leading the South Asia team to success and “Leadership Award for Contribution to Market Research” by the World Marketing Congress in 2014.
 
Before IDC, he was based in London, UK and worked at Gartner for over 5 years where he was Regional VP, Sales & Business Development – EMEA and prior to that, he spent more than 2 and a half years in the Indian outsourcing sector, most notably at Zensar Technologies where he spearheaded the set up to their Financial Services practice in Europe. During the late nineties, he was in the software sector.
 
Jaideep is a graduate from the Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University and holds an MBA degree from the Manchester Business School, UK. He enjoys reading, the occasional game of tennis and driving to remote parts of India.

Rajesh Dhar

Rajesh is the Senior Director Hybrid IT at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in India. In this role he drives and manages the revenue, P&L, sales and presales business in its various forms– DCHC, Servers, ISS and the likes.
An IT professional with over 20 years of Sales and Business Management Experience, having managed large teams successfully. He has extensive experience in Direct Sales, Segment Sales, Channel Management, Product Marketing, P&L management, Media Interactions and IT asset financing.

In his previous roles at HPE he was responsible for Overall Business Management of HP Technology Services (Cloud, Big Data, Mobility, Security, Data Centre Maintenance Services) for the Indian Subcontinent.

Rajesh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE) Field Of Study Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology.

Anand Kumar Bajaj

An IIM-A alma mater and a Chartered Accountant, Anand Kumar Bajaj is the Founder and CEO of Nearby Technologies Pvt. Ltd. With over 18 years of experience in Digital Payments and Mobility, Anand holds 5 patents in banking technology and has worked earlier at YES Bank, ICICI Bank, and Ernst & Young. In his last assignment, before launching Nearby Technologies, Anand was the President and Chief Innovation Officer at YES Bank, where he steered several high-impact programs in digital payments. Anand has actively participated in the Steering Committee of NPCI shaping the IMPS and UPI industry and has been a member of RBI’s ad-hoc committee on Mobile Payments and NUUP. Being on the board of BCFI, Anand also represents the industry body at NPCI steering committee for AePS. At Nearby Technologies, Anand and his team are committed to bridging the digital divide in India through scalable technology, grass-root level distribution and empowerment of the last mile. In this endeavour, he works very closely with RASCI, TRRAIN and other industry bodies to upskill and empower retailers, who form the hub of local communities and can bring about meaningful changes in their locality.

Aneish Kumar

Aneish Kumar is Managing Director and Country Executive of The Bank of New York Mellon’s Mumbai Representative Office in India. He has been with BNY Mellon since 1998. Based in Mumbai, Aneish leads the local liaison team which focusses on strengthening and broadening BNY Mellon’s local client relationships across all business lines.

Mr. Kumar has over 30 years of cross-functional expertise in banking and financial services. He has extensive experience in various facets of banking - from commercial, retail, corporate, International Business and Leasing. He has been a speaker at various forums, been a guest speaker at the Staff Training Colleges of Banks, Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Bankers, Bankers Training College, and National Institute of Bank Management.
