Karthik Mahalingam, Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co
Mr. Karthik Mahalingam is the Head of the Bangalore Office and the National Practice Head - Venture Capital at the Firm.
Karthik has advised several large Indian corporates, financial institutions, banks, and international clients across locations. He has worked on transactions in India, South East Asia & Africa. He has been actively involved in drafting and negotiating agreements relating to foreign investments, private equity, venture capital, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure, real estate, and general corporate advisory and driven large transactions.
Karthik was earlier Director - Legal at Omidyar Network, a Silicon Valley investment firm focused on consumer internet, mobile, Prior to Omidyar Network in 2012, Karthik was a partner at Amarchand Mangaldas. He began his career in 2001 at Amarchand as an associate in the Mumbai office and later in Bangalore. In 2008 he was elevated to partner at their Hyderabad office, overseeing a team of 15 lawyers, and responsible for business development, execution, and training.
Among a few of Karthik’s achievements, Karthik has been part of the Winning team in the HBS PE-VC Game, with highest notional cross fund unrealised IRR. He has also been awarded the Louis Vuitton (Asia) scholarship for undertaking the GMP in 2009. Karthik has been a panelist on various professional conferences, business plan juries in India and internationally. Karthik has received his L.L.B from the National Law School of India University.
Kartik Ganapathy, Partner, IndusLaw
Kartik focusses on Private Equity and Venture Capital Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate and Securities Law, and has significant Indian Law experience in cross border private equity investments, public and private M&A, joint ventures, and advising clients on corporate and commercial law.
Kartik is recognized as a “Recommended” lawyer in Private Equity / Venture Capital by the Practical Law Company, and as a “Leading Individual” in the Corporate & M&A and Private Equity field by Chambers & Partners. Keyur is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has over 13 years of work experience. His work experience includes working with Industry and consulting firms. He worked with two of the large consulting firm in India at their Mumbai offices.
Keyur is a subject matter expert for Indian GAAP and IFRS. He worked as a technical expert and reviewed Indian GAAP and IFRS financial from compliance perspective. He has more than 6 years of consulting experience on IFRS.
Keyur has also worked on various regulatory framework, which includes Companies Act, 2013, Reserve Bank's Circulars implementation, Related Party Manual including SEBI's revised clause 49 application etc

Khazat is a Partner-Global IFRS and Offerings Services Group of Deloitte and topic leader for Financial instruments. Khazat is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Certified Public Accountant (US).
Khazat has more than 15 years of experience providing assurance and advisory services to multinational, SEC registrants and Indian companies. Khazat specializes in U.S. GAAP/IFRS and has worked extensively in India pertaining to conversion between U.S. GAAP, IFRS and Indian GAAP including finalization of audits for domestic and globally listed companies in accordance with U.S., International and Indian GAAS and due diligence reviews. Khushroo B Panthaky, Partner, Walker, Chandiok & Co’s
Khushroo B. Panthaky is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with 30 years of professional experience in Accounting, Auditing and Business Advisory Services within the profession. He is currently a Senior Partner with PAr, a member firm of Grant Thornton International, which is a renowned Accounting and Consulting Firm. Khushroo also heads the Banking & Financial Services Industry Vertical (BFSI) of the
firm besides being a senior audit partner.
He has extensive experience, both locally and internationally, in auditing and advising large corporations and multinationals. He has a detailed understanding and knowledge of local and international Accounting Standards and International Auditing Standards, Corporate Governance Codes, Internal Control and Risk Management practices. He also has adequate experience in leading Financial Due Diligence engagements, in India and abroad.
Over the past 16 years Khushroo has extensively specialized in BFSI, particularly in the Insurance Industry and has audited very large companies in India and overseas. He is currently the Engagement Partner forstatutory audits in varied industry segments such as banking, insurance, broking, FMCG, manufacturing,engineering, logistics, IT/ITES, media, film exhibition, brewery, vinery, education, REIT and hotel management. During His tenure with a large accounting firm in India in the past, he was deputed to New York for around 3 years, where he was one of the Senior Managers leading audit engagements of multinational Insurance Companies such as Prudential Insurance Company of America and American International Group (AIG).
Khushroo is a visiting faculty at the National Insurance Academy in Pune and is invited by other Management Institutes in India to address on varied subjects. He is very active with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has contributed to its Central and Regional Committees relating to Insurance and Risk Management, Internal Audit, Corporate Governance, Auditing & Assurance Standards Board, Accounting Standards Board etc.
He is a Free Mason from the Grande Lodge of Scotland and an active Lion in Lions Club International,besides being the Treasurer of Indian Tourism Council and a Trustee in some of the community Trusts.

Koosai is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and heads KPMG’s accounting advisory services initiatives for Western India.
He has audit and accounting experience of more than 14 years serving various clients spanning several sectors, including Industrial Markets, Consumer Markets, Media, Telecom and Infrastructure. Koushik has been with PwC for over 9 years and leads PwC Corporate finance initiatives in South India. He has worked across corporate finance advisory offerings including Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint ventures / Strategic alliances, Restructurings, Private Equity Funding across domestic and cross border transactions.
Koushik has significant experience in deal advisory on buy and sell side engagements, carrying out target search / evaluation, business plan review, structuring issues, negotiation assistance across sectors notably in the automotive , industrial products and services and logistics sectors.

Kruti Desai, Partner – Corporate/Commercial, M&A, Private Equity & Employment, ALMT Legal
Kruti has about 9 years of experience in advising Indian and international clients on corporate and employment laws. She specialises primarily in private equity investments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Besides this, Kruti advises on exchange control laws, labour laws, data privacy, winding up and restructuring matters.
Kruti joined ALMT Legal immediately on graduation from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2005, moved to Delhi and worked with another leading law firm for 2 years. In 2009, Kruti rejoined ALMT Legal as Senior Associate and very soon got promoted to Partner.
Kruti was seconded for 6 months in London with an English law firm where she worked on cross border corporate transactions.

Kunal Chandra, Partner, Trilegal
Kunal Chandra is a Partner in Trilegal's Mumbai office and is a part of Trilegal's corporate practice group. His primary practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital. Kunal has advised various companies and funds on government policies, regulatory and legal issues affecting their acquisitions and investments.
