Deepak Padaki, President, Catamaran
Deepak Padaki President As President of Catamaran, Deepak is responsible for driving the overall performance of the firm’s portfolio by formulating and executing its investment strategy, asset allocation and risk management policies. Deepak has over 30 years of experience in the Global IT Services and Software Product industry. He was Executive Vice President, Group Head of Strategy & Chief Risk Officer at Infosys Limited (NYSE: INFY) until June 2022. He played various roles at Infosys – including Strategy, M&A, Venture Funding, Risk Management, Business Development, Software Engineering and Project Management. He was a member of the Board of Infosys’ Software subsidiaries in Israel, the Netherlands, USA, Japan, and India. He was the Vice President of the Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce, a lead member of the start-up and Knowledge Management Councils of the Confederation of Indian Industry and a member of the Strategy and Risk Officers’ Councils of the World Economic Forum. In his spare time, he is active in community theatre and serves on the managing committee of Bangalore Little Theatre. Deepak holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore, India.

Deepak Roy, Executive Vice Chairman & CEO of Allied Blenders and Distillers Pvt. Ltd., is a renowned veteran of the wine and spirits industry, holding 5% of the company's stakes.
Mr. Roy has had an impressive career spanning over 30 years in sales, marketing and general management. Throughout his glorious career, he has spent 23 years in the alcoholic beverages industry, and over 13 years as the CEO of various successful brands in the spirits sector. He also has held various assignments in marketing and general management in leading multinational companies like Glaxo, Ranbaxy, CPC, Warner Hindustan, The UB Group & Diageo.
In 1993, Mr. Roy was appointed as the founding CEO of Diageo's India business (formerly 'International Distillers India'). Today he finds his name in Diageo's history as the man who helped the company's profit grow considerably since its inception. Before joining Diageo, he has had a decade of experience with The UB Group from 1983 to 1993.
During his tenure in The UB Group, he handled various marketing and general management positions in McDowells and Herbertsons. He spearheaded Triumph Distillers & Vintners, a UB umbrella company and the manufacturers of Gilbey's Green Label. In just 10 years, he was not only instrumental in growing 2 'millionaire' brands, but also helped revive the other brands. In December 2002, he led a management buy-out in India by acquiring Diageo's India whisky business and successfully selling it for approximately 4 times more value in just over two years time.

Armed with a rich and diverse experience in domestic and international healthcare marketing, Mr. Sahni realized quite early that Healthcare in India is primarily focused on illness and treatments of lifestyle disease.
This prompted him to build a unique brand which pivots around prevention, monitoring and management of diseases and help people live healthy and happy by regularly monitoring and testing their routine health parameters. He started his very first business venture at the age of 19 – a computer assembling business, followed by a Digital Healthcare agency. He has also worked with 120 renowned hospitals across the world gaining a vast pool of knowledge and business acumen.

Deepak I. Shahdadpuri is the Founder and Managing Director of DSG Consumer Partner and Beacon India Private Equity Fund. Deepak has over 15 years of private equity and venture capital experience and is an active angel investor focusing on consumer businesses with a strong emphasis on food and beverage value chain. Before this, Deepak held senior roles at Gem India, Reuters VC, Bain & Company and Ernst & Young. Deepak is on the board of Baker's Circle, Impresario, Eazy Diner, Exito Gourmet, India Lends, Indostar Capital, Indian Home Gourmet, Mswipe, Saffronart, Saraf Foods, Sula Wines and Veeba Food. Deepak’s investment experience also includes RBL Bank, OYO Rooms, Cleartrip, Redmart, F&B Asia and Furtado’s School of Music.
Deepak serves on the board of Magic Bus, a non-profit organization helping develop underprivileged children through sports, and on the advisory board of Dawn Capital, a UK focused Venture Capital Fund. He has an MBA (Distinction) from INSEAD where he graduated on the Dean’s list, a LLB (Hons) from King's College London and a FCA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

Deepak Sharma, MD & Head - M&A, Axis Capital
Mr. Deepak Sharma is a seasoned investment banker with over two decades of experience across assignments involving mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory, fund raising and restructuring, with extensive exposure to both cross border and domestic situations. In his current role, he heads the M&A and Financial Sponsors practice at Axis Capital. He is responsible for both the strategic and operational aspects of the business, including senior level relationship management and overall client deliver oversight.
During his long career, Mr. Sharma has been involved in transactions involving a diverse mix of leading Indian corporates, multinationals, financial sponsors and Government organizations. Having started his career with Arthur Andersen, he has subsequently been a part of global Financial Institutions like Lazard and Rabobank. Prior to joining Axis Capital, Mr. Sharma was a senior banker at Lazard’s Mumbai office, where he led the firm’s activities for a range of sectors including industrials, infrastructure, building materials, energy and natural resources.
Mr. Sharma is a recipient of the Roll of Honour from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and is an Electrical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is an avid reader and enjoys unwinding with light music.

Deepak Sharma heads Kotak Mahindra Bank’s digital initiatives where he drives digital transformation, business model innovation and future ready initiatives of the bank. He is responsible for efficiency, productivity, customer experience and growth of the business through digital intervention across digital channels, lending, payments, investments, insurance, trade & forex, for the Retail, SME, Private Wealth and Institutional Banking segments. Deepak also leads Digital IT & Product Engineering, Innovation Lab, Design Studio, Fintech partnerships and the Start-up ecosystem participation for the bank.
Under his leadership, Kotak has launched several innovative and global first products such as 811, Jifi, Hashtag Banking, KayMall, WhatsApp Banking & Kaypay, apart from new initiatives like API, Open & Connected Banking, Conversational Banking Bot ’Keya’, BYOD Biometric Banking, Cross- border remittances on Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Robotic Process Automation. Deepak believes in constant innovation and focuses on building business models & platforms which are customer centric, value accretive and disruptive.
Deepak has worked across various international markets and brings a global perspective to the business. In his previous role, he was responsible for setting up the Bank’s highly successful Non Resident Indian (NRI) & International Remittances business. Deepak also played a key role in launching the Bank’s affluent banking programme - Privy League.
With over 27 years of experience, Deepak’s professional tenure spans across the banking, telecom and consumer services verticals. Prior to joining Kotak, he was part of the leadership team of Consumer Banking at Standard Chartered from 2003 to 2008. Thereafter, as National Head for Corporate Business at Standard Chartered, he was responsible for building the corporate payroll and Wealth Management business.
Deepak has completed an advanced programme in Strategy from IIM Calcutta as well as the Stanford LEAD Certificate in Corporate Innovation. He is a member of Airtel Customer Advisory Board, Member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Digital Transformation Committee, FICCI National Committee on Fintech & a number of Startup-Industry Forums, in addition to participating at various trade & Government initiatives on the Digital India Roadmap. He mentors fintech and start-up ecosystems on an ongoing basis.
Deepak Srinath, Director, Viedea Capital advisor
Deepak Srinath has operating and management experience in Mobile VAS, IT services and business services prior to co-founding Viedea. Before founding Viedea, he was at July Systems, a mobile VAS infrastructure provider funded by Motorola Ventures, Sequoia Capital, etc. His roles included product management of July's flagship Mobile Marketplace platform and business development for the EMEA region.
Prior to this he was a part of the start-up management team for the UK operations of Apar Infotech (later Ness Technologies), where he helped the company grow from zero to over GBP 5 million revenue. Deepak also started and successfully exited a Bangalore based IT recruitment company, focused on turnkey staffing solutions for the high-tech sector. He has an MBA from Manchester Business School and a BE in Computer Science from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore.
Deepali Naair, Chief Marketing Officer, Mahindra Holidays & Resort India Limited
Deepali Naair's 20 years’ experience, is in the area of Marketing, Brand Management, Product Development & Digital Marketing.
She began her career with Tata Motors, then a stint at BPL Mobile, when the 1st mobile phone was launched in India. She worked at Draft FCB-Ulka, then at Marico as Marketing Manager for Saffola and Mediker. From 2006 she was with HSBC Global Asset Management India as VP & Head of Marketing. Apart from successfully managing marketing for India operations, she led the Communication for the Global relaunch of HSBC Global Asset Management Brand, which used to be HSBC Investments.
In 2009, she joined L&T as part of the start up team as Country Head for Brand & Corporate Communications. She has been instrumental in designing the brand strategy & digital strategy for L&T Insurance, as she also heads the e-commerce channel for L&T Insurance. She also looked after customer service there. She has recently joined Club Mahindra as their Chief Marketing Officer in October 2013.
She gets invited regularly to speak on ‘Digital Media’ at various Seminars and Conferences. In April 2011, she was invited to USA, for a presentation on “Social Media in India”. She was a panelist at the Roundtable for India Insure Summit, June 2011 on “Digital Branding”. In April 2012, she was a speaker at the 1st Asian ‘conference on social media & mobile marketing for insurance’ hosted by Asia insurance Review in Singapore.
Deepali was recently recognized by Paul Writer as one of the top 50 CMOs for the prestigious Marketing & IT Recognition (M.IT.R). She is also the recipient of Indira Super Achievers Award in September 2010.
She has been a guest faculty at SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai for a decade now. She has delivered guest lectures at MICA, Ahmedabad, SIMC apart from other B Schools in India and abroad.
