Vinay Sharma, Business Head - Digital and Services, S.Chand Group

Vinay Sharma heads the Digital business for S Chand group, which is one of the leading publishing cum education Services Company.  As part of his portfolio, he manages digital content business for schools & engineering colleges, preschool operations and new initiatives including tablets, labs, assessments etc. This includes managing the P & L of current businesses and looking for organic and inorganic growth opportunities in high growth sectors.

Vinay is an accomplished professional and digital evangelist with over 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, new product launches and P & L management across education, technology and consumer sectors. He was profiled in Business Outlook issue of Social Entrepreneurs.

He has a rich and diverse experience in education sector having led various education initiatives including skill development, test prep and digital solutions/ services for schools. Prior to S Chand Group, he had been with HCL, and was also part of the founding team for Indiacan Education Pvt Ltd (A Pearson Educomp JV). He also had an entrepreneurial stint as a Partner in Elements Academia Ltd, a skills building company.

In addition, he has significant experience in technology and consumer sectors having worked with Airtel, Comsat max( A Lockheed martin JV with max India) and Blow Plast  Ltd.

He is an MBA from IIM Calcutta with an engineering background.


Vincent Huang, Partner, Pantheon Capital

Vincent is a partner of Pantheon, a premier private equity fund of funds with over USD24bn under management globally. He is in charge of investments in growth equity and venture funds in Asia with a particular focus on China and India. He is personally responsible for deploying USD~500m and sits on over 10 advisory boards of leading private equity and venture funds such as TPG Asia, Baring Asia, and Hony Capital. Vincent is a member of Pantheon’s global co-investment committee and is leading the firm’s direct investment efforts in Asia.

Prior to joining Pantheon in December 2004, Vincent was the Chief Representative for AIGGIC’s Shanghai office, where he was responsible for the firm’s direct investment activities in mainland China for over three years.

Before his private equity career, Vincent was the Chief Representative of Merrill Lynch’s Shanghai office, where he was responsible for deal origination in Eastern China. He also worked at investment banking divisions of Schroders and Robertson, Stephens & Co. since 1995, all based in China.

Vincent received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 1991. He is now based in Hong Kong.


Vineet Agarwal, Managing Director, Transport Corporation of India

Vineet Agarwal is the Managing Director of Transport Corporation of India Ltd. (www.tcil.com). He is a graduate from Carnegie Mellon University, USA and completed the Owner President Management program from Harvard Business School.

Vineet currently serves as the Vice President of ASSOCHAM, a leading chamber of commerce in India. He is also the founding National President of the Young Leaders Council (ylc.aima.in) at the All India Management Association and has been a Council member for several years. He served as a director on Young President Organization’s (YPO) international board and was previously a member of the Global Agenda Council at the World Economic Forum, board member of the HBS Club of India and at many other institutions.

Vineet Budki, CEO and Managing Partner, Cypher Capital

Vineet is the CEO & Managing Partner at Cypher Capital, a leading Web3 Native VC based in UAE and has led 200+ Investments like Mysten Labs, Sei Network, Casper Labs, Web3Auth, ZKLink among others. An entrepreneur for 15 years before the Investment Role, Vineet has built 3 Web2 startups in the past as well as worked at global corporations like Rocket Internet, Emirates, and TCS. He was highlighted as one of the Top 50 Indians in the Middle East by Arabian Business and has extensively been featured across Media (The Times, Sun, etc.), Podcasts (Wolf of All Streets, Kisco News), and regularly speaks at Global Crypto Conferences.


Vineet Chadha, Partner, Tata Capital Innovations Fund

Vineet successfully raised and manages investments relating to the Tata Capital Innovations Fund. Vineet’s experience is across private equity, investment banking and manufacturing. He is a nominee Director on Boards of portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Tata Capital he was with Old Lane Private Equity responsible for investments in Indian Infrastructure sector and earlier with Ernst & Young and SBI Capital Markets in their Investment Banking businesses.

Vineet received a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela and Masters Degree in Finance from Delhi University. He is also a CFA Charter holder.


Vineet Gupta, Founder, Trustee and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Ashoka University

Vineet graduated from IIT Delhi in 1991 in Mechanical Engineering and is a first generation entrepreneur. In an entrepreneurial career spanning 25 years, Vineet has built several companies. He is currently the cofounder and Managing Director of Jamboree Education, India’s largest test prep company for exams such as GMAT, GRE and SAT. Jamboree operates 31 centres in 17 cities of India, Middle East, Singapore and Nepal.

Vineet is also a Founder and Trustee of Ashoka University. Vineet has been involved with the Ashoka effort since 2007 when a few friends came together with the idea of setting up a high quality University in India. Ashoka University is a philanthropic initiative founded by eminent business leaders and scholars and offers a liberal education at par with the best in the world. Ashoka has been one of the most exciting initiatives in higher education in India today and The Economic Times has termed it as “India’s answer to the Ivy league”. Vineet has played a key execution role at Ashoka and also serves as its Pro Vice Chancellor.

Vineet is also the Education Co-Chair at PHD Chamber of Commerce.

Vineet is a renowned consumer internet & housing expert, as well as an excellent people manager, communicator & relationship builder.

Vineet Nayar, Founder Chairman, Sampark Foundation (Former CEO of HCL Technologies)

Vineet Nayar is Founder Chairman of Sampark Foundation and former CEO of HCL Technologies. He is also author of the highly acclaimed management book “Employees First, Customers Second: Turning Conventional Management Upside Down” (Harvard Business Press, June 2010) which has sold more than 100,000 copies to date.

With ‘Innovation led large scale social change’ as the central idea, Vineet co-founded Sampark Foundation with his wife, Anupama Nayar. Today Sampark Foundation is transforming learning outcomes of 3 million children studying in 50,000 schools in Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh and Ladakh; making it one of the world’s largest primary school transformation initiatives by a Foundation. Vineet has been cited by Forbes in its '48 Heroes of philanthropy List 2016’ and by Fortune for the pedagogical innovations the Foundation has brought into classrooms.

He joined HCL in 1985 after earning his MBA from XLRI. In 1993, Vineet founded Comnet and helped it grow into a $1.4 billion dominant leader in Technology Management Services. In 2005, Vineet became President of HCL Technologies and served as the company’s CEO from 2007 till January 2013.
