Sachin Tagra, Head Financial Sevices, Brand Capital

Sachin is a management graduate with sixteen years of prolific business experiences and deep understanding of consumer and retail businesses. He has driven P&Ls of large businesses and made significant contributions in various organizations from the start-up phase of the businesses to profitable scaling up.

Currently he is the Associate Vice President in Brand Capital, strategic investment arm of Times Group and focused on driving investments in Fintech and consumer services and is also leading Incubator Capital, the start-up initiative of Brand Capital.

Before Times Group, he had the opportunity of managing and driving businesses with Reliance Retail and The Friedman Group (US based world’s largest retail consulting and training organization) as India Business Head. Also lead team size of 90 people including all business functions.

He strongly believe in the data driven approach and analytics for understanding and driving consumer behavior to build businesses.

Sachin has keen interest in Business simulations for training purposes and is the founding and youngest member of IndSAGA (Indian Simulation & Gaming Association).

Sachindra Rudra, Senior Investment Director, Navis Capital Partners

Sachindra Rudra has studied and worked in India, the UK and the Americas.

Prior to joining Navis, Sachindra was with Piramal Healthcare Ltd in India where he looked after Strategy, Business Development and had P&L responsibility for an SBU. Before Piramal Healthcare, he was with McKinsey & Company, Inc. where he worked on solving a variety of strategic and operational issues for clients, both Indian and international. Sachindra started his career as a sales and marketing professional with Hindustan Unilever Ltd (the Indian subsidiary of Unilever).

Sachindra received his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM A). He also has a Masters degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, UK and a BA in Economics from Cambridge University, UK.


Sadashiv Nayak, CEO, Big Bazaar

Sadashiv Nayak is part of the strategic business team at Future Group. His responsibility is in formats of Food Bazaar, f bb chain of fashion stores and Big Bazaar. Prior to Future group he has worked with Hindustan Unilever and Asian Paints.

Sadashiv graduated Engineering from NIT, Karnataka and completed his post graduation in Business Management from XLRI Jameshedpur. He stays in Mumbai with his wife Radhika and twin sons.


Sadeesh Raghavan, Former Managing Partner, Asia, Accenture

Sadeesh Raghavan has worked and lived all over the world. He did his undergraduate at IIT Madras, then his MBA at UCLA USA, and has worked in the US, China, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, and for the last 4 years has been based both in India and Malaysia/Singapore. He was Managing Director at Accenture where in his last role he ran their Products(Manufacturing & Distribution) practice across Asia Pacific and then most recently all their India businesses. He has spent his career advising MNCs and the top Asian players on their market entry and growth programs and strategies revolving around the rapidly growing Asia Pacific market. He is very active in venture philanthrophy and angel investing and sits on numerous boards including the Global Advisory Board and Investment Committee of Acumen Fund, a US based not for profit venture philanthrophy fund.


Sagar Apte, CEO and Founder, CarIQ Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Sagar Apte started CarIQ in 2012 to build India’s first connected car platform. At CarIQ, Sagar is the CEO with direct responsibility for sales, and marketing. He has over 16 years of experience across diverse domains such as product management, sales, support, operations, and marketing. He has a diploma in Electronics, Graduate in Computer Science, and a MBA in marketing. He is a avid reader and loves driving.

Sagar Daryani, Co-founder & CEO, Wow! Momo

Momos were not new to India, but what Sagar & his friend Binod did with them, certainly was. Wow! Momo is a young & vibrant brand started by 2 young Entrepreneurs from Kolkata at the age of 21, six years ago. They have literally played with momos to have grown rapidly to become the country's largest momo chain with over 60 outlets in 6 cities. Their Menu caters to 11 different flavors of momos available in Steamed, Fried & Pan Fried formats largely in white & brown flour variants. They have smartly Innovated & Invented to create Sizzler Momos, Mogurg ( a Momo Burgers), Baked Momo Au'gratin, Tandoori Momos etc. And to top it all, even their dessert is a 'Chocolate momo.

Begun with an initial Investment of only Rs.30,000, these young guns have ‘Boot Strapped’ & ploughed back profits to currently clock a turnover of  over 3 crores a month, recruiting over 500 employees. Very recently Wow! Momo raised its Series A funding from The Indian Angel Network at a 100 Crore Valuation.

The Brand has won many accolades : this January, Wow! Momo won the Best QSR Chain - Indian Origin at the Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2015 in Mumbai, Conferred SME of the Year at the ET Now Leaders of tomorrow Regional Awards - East India.

Sagar is an enthusiast who is highly passionate about Brand building. He idolizes Sachin Tendulkar and intends to emulate the same diligence in his profession as practiced by the Little Master. Sagar dreams of an India where employment is at its 100%. He has mentored start-up's in the F&B space and a few of them are already in operationally profitable mode. Sagar keenly looks into marketing, branding, expansion, growth, retail operations & logistics.

Sagar was conferred with the ‘50 Most Talented Retail Professionals of India Award’ in 2014. He also won the Entrepreneur of the year award at The Telegraph Infocom SME awards in 2014.


Sahad P.V., Founder & Editor, VCCircle

Sahad P V is the Founder, Editor and Publisher of VCCircle.com, India's leading online business news publication focused on investments and entrepreneurship. In about six years, he has built a high impact media company from scratch, which now employs about 60 people across editorial, research and sales. He has been a business journalist for more than a decade and has worked with leading Indian media groups like India Today and Business Standard before starting out in 2005.

He holds a masters degree as well as an M.Phil in International Relations from Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Sahaj holds is a Senior Manager- Research at News Corp Mosaic Digital. He bring in professional experience into Strategy Consulting, Product Strategy Research, Business Development & Presales. In his prior roles, he was responsible for collaborating with clients, internal stakeholder and the leadership team along with the business leaders on the client side, to generate insights and advisory content on IDC’s 3rd Platform (Social, Mobility, Analytics, Cloud & Digital Transformation), which helped the stakeholders in making informed strategic decisions. He has also developed research papers, PoV, whitepaper, technology/ vendor spotlights and related services along with helping in developing RFI & RFP frameworks for sourcing strategies to ensure committed value to end-user segment in their technology transformation.


Sahil Baghla, Co-Founder, Bluegape.com

Sahil started his entrepreneurial journey from the dorm room of IIT Kanpur. At bluegape, they are helping users to monetise their content (designs, artwork, logo, photography, one liners etc) through merchandise. One day he wants to fly like a superman, till then chasing his billion dollar company dream.
