Rebecca A. Fannin is author of Silicon Dragon (McGraw-Hill, 2008) and Startup Asia (Wiley, 2011), a contributor to Forbes, and a consultant and public speaker. Her news and events group, Silicon Asia, publishes e-newsletters for venture capitalists and entrepreneurs, and develops conferences in the world’s tech hotspots.

Her consulting work includes a KPMG white paper on China outsourcing, Sony research projects, and Econsultancy editorial content. Having completed her B.A., LL.B (Hons) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore and LL.M from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), Reeba Chacko is a partner of Amarchand Mangaldas, presently at the Bangalore office, and has been with the Firm since 1999 (starting her career at the Delhi office of the Firm). Reeba specializes in private equity/venture capital investments, and mergers/takeovers/acquisitions, and focuses primarily on the Firm South practice.

Reeba has been involved in various types of transactions in her practice area including structured investments, PIPEs, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, inbound as well as outbound acquisitions, corporate restructuring, entry strategies in restricted sectors such as retail, defence, structuring complicated quasi equity and debt investment structures across various sectors and is also an expert in foreign investment laws particularly in some key sectors like retail, real estate, education and defence.

Being known as a leading private equity and venture capital investments lawyer, she advises several domestic as well as foreign funds on their India investments besides assisting several start ups and growth stage companies as well as public listed companies in receiving financial and strategic investments. Reeza Sebastian Karimpanal, President - Residential, Embassy Group

Reeza has been with the Embassy Group for over 15 years - she manages the residential portfolio of the company and is a member of the leadership team. She undertakes end to end management of all residential projects with an emphasis on project feasibility, positioning, sales plans & projections and business development.

In her current role, Reeza is central to conceptualizing and building the luxury residential portfolio of Embassy Group.

Prior to joining the Embassy Group, Reeza worked with an FMCG major in Dubai as a Brand Manager. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources from Christ University in Bangalore.

Rehan Yar Khan is Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Orios Venture Partners, a seed stage venture fund. Currently investing from its Fund II predominantly in consumer focused startups, tech and non tech. Orios’ portfolio includes Prettysecrets, Country Delight, GoMechanic, PharmEasy, ZipGo and others. Rehan previously led investments in OlaCabs and Druva.

Rehan has been an entrepreneur since 1992 building 3 companies; was also closely involved in the establishment of Indian Angel Network Mumbai Chapter and Harvard Angels. He is an active supporter of entrepreneurship development in India as a TiE Charter and IVCA Executive Committee member.

Reji is a renowned expert in the power sector with 30+ years of international experience in the electricity industry in diverse functions across the entire value chain. He has been a key member of many multidisciplinary teams that were engaged in reform and restructuring of power and water utilities in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. He possesses advanced qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Management and Law.

In his most recent role as head of Energy & Utilities vertical in IBM India/South Asia, Reji was spearheading the mission for complete transformation of the electricity industry in the region through implementation of high-end IT & automation solutions for modernizing the industrial age power-grid to Smart Grid of the information age. Prior to IBM he has worked in NTPC and served as Senior Consultant with ADB, USAID and World Bank. A recognized thought leader in power sector, Reji is a popular key-note speaker at international symposiums and conferences on Smart Grids and Cleantech. He has also contributed to several articles and books.

Magnetar Venture, a VC Fund promoted by Reji is focused on cleantech domains. Reji is also a member of Indian Angel Network.

Renu Dhar is a management graduate from Pune University and cherishes 14 years of experience in sales & inside sales. Prior to Intuit, Renu has worked with leading IT companies like HP, Microsoft & Adobe. At Intuit, Renu manages different teams across on-boarding & telesales. She is the voice of customer when it comes to working on product development.
