Ratan Jalan, Founder & Managing Director, Medium Healthcare Consulting

Ratan is widely regarded as a rare thought leader in the healthcare industry. It was a strong urge to make a difference in healthcare that led him to set up Medium Healthcare Consulting.

At Medium, Ratan plays a pivotal role in shaping Medium’s philosophy with particular thrust on innovation, execution and patient-centricity. He is personally involved in each engagement often setting up near-impossible internal benchmarks. His thought-provoking writings and talks on a wide variety of subjects continue to inspire many in the field.

Before founding Medium Healthcare, Ratan was the CEO of Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited, part of the Apollo Hospitals Group, for almost a decade. He created some of the most successful and innovative healthcare formats in the country such as a nationwide network of The Apollo Clinic and The Cradle, South Asia’s first boutique birthing centres. He also led the strategic marketing initiatives and international projects for the group.

In 1996 Ratan, as President, set up India’s first hospital architecture and consulting firm Asian Health Services, a JV with ServiceMaster, then a Fortune 500 company. In a short span of three years, the firm became the undisputed leader in the field and had served leading organizations like Wockhardt
Hospitals, Escorts Hospital, Max Healthcare, Aditya Birla Foundation, BLK Hospitals, IL&FS and Gleneagles Hospitals.

He has over four decades of experience across diverse industries and functional responsibilities. He started his professional career in the information technology industry with HCL and then moved to advertising at Lintas (now MullenLowe Lintas Group). During his ten years there, he led work for major
Indian and international brands.

Rathin Lahiri, CMO, Meru Cabs

Rathin brings with him 22 years of experience in Sales & Marketing and running Digital Businesses. His goal is to build the Meru brand, drive consumer demand and grow the Digital Business. He is an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research. His key stints have been with the UB Group, HUL, eBay and Microsoft. Prior to joining Meru he was the CMO of a startup which was engaged in launching a coalition loyalty program.


Ratna Viswanathan, CEO, Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN)

Ms. Ratna Vishwanathan has served MFIN for the past one year as the designated Deputy CEO and Compliance Officer on behalf of the RBI after MFIN was assigned to be a SRO. She brings to MFIN a combination of government and development sector experience. Belonging to the 1987 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Ms. Vishwanathan comes with extensive experience across a range of departments of the Government of India including Defense and Prasar Bharti. In the development sector she has served at very senior levels in well-known international NGOs such as Oxfam and VSO. Ms. Ratna Vishwanathan steered these entities through critical change management processes as they transitioned from international liaison offices to ‘full-fledged Indian entities’.

Ratnesh Mehra is the Customer Experience Strategy & GTM Leader for Oracle India .

With over 23 years of experience in the IT Industry with a proven leadership in Customer Experience, CRM consulting and delivery, ‘Ratnesh   comes with invaluable CX knowledge of the market and domain .and has  helped leading organizations in India as well as globally to strategize, design and build world class Customer experience platforms.

He has well rounded experience in area of Customer Experience, Digital Marketing, Social CRM, Voice of Customer, Customer Analytics and B2B interactions.

He has worked previously as head of Customer Experience competency for KPMG and IBM among others.

Ratnesh is based out of Bangalore and is a passionate old hindi songs buff and a foodie to the core.


Ratul Ghosh, Head Strategy, eBay India

Ratul Ghosh heads Strategyat eBay India, where he is responsible for driving the Mobile Commerce business and leading Advertising Sales for the Company.

 

Ratul is passionate about Mobile Commerce and believes in the huge potential it has in India. He is committed to driving Mobile Commerce to the next level from driving consideration to making it a significant part of the India business as it is globally.

 

Before joining eBay India, Ratul spent over 10 years in strategy and new business creation profiles with Philips, HCL and the Tata Administrative Service across a diverse set of industries (Consumer Goods, Electronics, Information Technology, Healthcare etc.) and across the strategy spectrum (market intelligence, strategy formulation, new business setup&alliances).

 

Ratul is aMechanical Engineer from the MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

 

Hecredits his insights to voracious reading and writing, sporadic teaching, extensive travel, deep involvement with the literary and performing arts, exchanging view-points with myriad people and reflections on all these experiences.


Ravi Agarwal, Professor and Vice-Dean (Academic Affairs), O P Jindal Global University

Professor Ravi Agarwal is a Professor of Finance and Accounting and Vice Dean (Academic Affairs), Jindal Global Business School. Professor Agarwal holds a Bachelor’s and master's Degree in Finance and Accounts from St. John's College, Agra. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an Associate of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has more than 20 years’ experience of teaching, training, research and consulting in his areas of specialization.

He has been actively involved in designing and conducting executive training programmes on financial risk management, corporate finance, strategic cost management, financial modeling, and financial accounting. He has trained senior and middle level executives from Indian Army, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, Food Corporation of India, HUDCO, public sector banks, UTI Asset Management, Defense organizations, ministries and number of private sector organizations. He has a number of research papers to his credit. His areas of interest are corporate finance, managerial accounting, and corporate valuation. Presently he is working on a book on case studies in finance.


Ravi Bhasin, Senior Partner, AZB & Partners

Ravi Bhasin is a Senior Partner at AZB & Partners with over 16 years of experience. His practice primarily focuses on Insolvency Restructuring and M&A.

Ravi has advised clients on various restructuring matters, including on the buy-side from an acquisition perspective in various sectors including pharmaceuticals, real estate, manufacturing, etc.

Ravi has been involved in advising resolution applicants in their acquisition of companies under insolvency, and also advised bidders for companies under liquidation. He has been involved in several successful bids for such acquisitions and has also assisted clients in respect of the final approval of the plan at judicial forums and has also advised in defending challenges to such bids in courts/ tribunals.

His practice area also includes private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate and regulatory advisory, foreign investment, debt funding, insolvency restructuring and acquisitions. He has advised clients (including private equity funds and strategic investors) on various transactions involving equity and debt investments including listed and unlisted non- convertible debentures), and joint ventures.

His experience includes advising on structuring various transactions, advising on entry and exit routes and strategies and also foreign investment regulations amongst others.


Ravi C Adusumalli, Managing Partner, SAIF Partners

Ravi C Adusumalli joined SAIF in early 2002 and is currently the Managing Partner and Head of the India operations. Prior to joining SAIF, Mr. Adusumalli worked at Mobius Venture Capital, Credit Suisse, and Wasatch Funds.

Mr. Adusumalli graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Government.
