P. K. More’s his obsession with perfection was evident from the time he joined the family business in 1991in Guwahati after completion of his graduation in Electrical Engineering  from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati. In the year 1997 he shifted to Kolkata and set up a Plywood factory based on imported timber in the year 1999. He presently imports timber from around 14 countries from different parts of the world .He equipped his factory by procuring the latest and most modern Machinery and adopted latest technology to manufacture his products and marketed his products by the brand name ‘MAYUR’.

Within a span of two to three years he started to market his product throughout the country and the   same began to be accepted quality wise and price wise everywhere .In the meantime he expanded his Kolkata factory manifolds.  Then, in the year 2004 he took over a sick Plywood unit at Bhavnagar, Gujrat near the Kandla Port and turned the unit into a profit making one within one year and even expanded the capacity in the second year itself. Again, in the year 2007 he took over one sicker unit at Chennai and turned it into a profitable venture in the following year itself. He was able to do all this due to his strong marketing strategies and building up a strong marketing network throughout the country and a strong back office team. He has also set up 14(fourteen) marketing offices in major State Capitals and has a strong marketing team of around 250 people and having more than 600 dealers pan India.

In a short span of time Mayur Plywood has become a leading brand of the Country. His Company employs around 2500 people in the Plywood division. He is now setting up a plywood unit at Guwahati and a one million tonne per annum capacity Cement with captive power Plant in Meghalaya.

Prakash Mallya, Managing Director, Sales and Marketing group, Intel India

Prakash Mallya is the Managing Director for Intel India’s Sales & Marketing Group, and responsible for developing new growth areas in the region and has been with Intel for over 17-years. Over the years, he has held several regional roles–as the Director for Intel Asia’s Data Center Group, he managed the region’s data center strategy for cloud service providers, communications service providers, enterprise, and government infrastructure. He previously led Intel’s Asia Pacific strategy to win in the Manufacturing and Oil & Gas verticals. Prakash was responsible for Intel’s business growth in Malaysia and Singapore as the Country Manager of both of these countries. Prakash holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MBA in Marketing Management. Travel, photography, music and fitness are his passions.

Prakash Nene, MD & CFO, Multiples Equity

Prakash joined Multiples in Jan 2010. He brings with him over 3 decades of rich experience in corporate strategy, corporate finance, portfolio management, M&A, corporate restructuring and management of several investments and exits from listed and unlisted companies. Prior to joining Multiples, Prakash was the Group Director at Bharti Enterprises where, in his last assignment, he led the real estate and software services business. He was Bharti’s representative on several JV’s in financial services and agriculture sectors. Prakash also had a stint at ICICI Venture where he was responsible for monitoring and reviewing operations of buyout companies, besides being a part of the Investment Committee.

Prior to this, Prakash worked with Jumbo, a large international conglomerate with substantial business interests in India through controlling stakes in large listed and unlisted entities. In his capacity as Group CFO and Head of Indian operations, he led several initiatives to turn around the operations of portfolio companies in a variety of sectors such as FMCG, engineering, tyres, electronics, EPC management, water management, logistics, trading, garments manufacturing, real estate, chemicals, agrochemicals, etc.

At Multiples, he is one of the investment committee members. He plays an active role in post investment portfolio management matters. Besides, in his capacity as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Multiples, he oversees all transactional, governance and compliance related matters of the firm.

Prakash Sikaria, Business Head - Customer retention, Media & Monetization, Flipkart

Prakash heads Customer Retention and Growth for the company. He manages end to end personalisation across all ecommerce touchpoints. He also ensures that all key decisions have customer centricity and is backed by relevant data driven insights. Additionally, he oversees new growth initiatives like content, monetization, social commerce & digital goods.

Prakash pioneered commerce advertising in India & launched Flipkart ads in 2015.  Before Flipkart he has been an entrepreneur, investment banker, investor etc. He is an alum of IIT Kanpur and Kellogg School of Management. Prakash has over ten years of experience that includes marketing, strategy, partnerships, finance, analytics and sales. He has established track record of leading entrepreneurial initiatives with P&L responsibility. He specializes in defining, launching & scaling products that provide compelling business value.

Pramod has 21 years of experience in financial services (private equity, public equity and investment banking) in India and the UK, of which 12 years are in Indian PE.

Pramod joined Tata Capital in April 2008. Pramod is a Founding Partner of TCGF, which successfully raised US$240 million from international as well as Indian investors. Pramod has been actively involved in sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and consummating investments across financial services, technology, consumer, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing sectors. Pramod is also actively involved in portfolio management and serves on the boards of Standard Greases and Nearex.

Pramod Bhasin, Founder & Former Vice Chairman, Genpact

An industry champion, an entrepreneur and a thought leader-Pramod Bhasin is one of the pioneers who steered India’s rise as a knowledge economy.

Pramod spent 25 years in General Electric (GE) in tenures spanning US, Europe and Asia, and built the GE Capital business in India from ground up, inking strategic partnerships for the growth of the business.

In 1997, Pramod founded Genpact, formerly GE Capital International Services, and set the ball rolling for the concept of business process management. Under his aegis Genpact grew to lay the foundation of the industry, not just in India, but also in China, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Today, Genpact is a giant with 55,000 employees across 17 countries. In 2011, he stepped back from his position as the President and CEO of Genpact to take on a mentoring role as its Vice Chairman.
The entire IT and ITeS industry in India sees Pramod as its champion and guide, and he was named the IT Man of the Year by Dataquest in 2009. He has served as the Chairman of National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and is the current Chairman of the CII Services Council. He serves on the boards of several organisations as well as educational institutions.

Pramod speaks passionately about entrepreneurship, leadership and skill development and financial inclusion for the unorganised sector. To further the latter, he is currently working to build The Skills Academy, a pioneering institute to enhance employability.
