Amarinder Dhaliwal, Head (E- Commerce) at Times Internet Limited, has a rich experience in managing online businesses, sale & marketing and investment banking.
During his thirteen years of professional experience, Amarinder has held various challenging and leadership roles. He was not only head of business for online commerce, auctions, auto (zigwheels.com), astrology (astrospeak.com) but was also national head of magazines & Int'l sales of Times Group.
Corporate planning & strategy, decision making related to product configuration, pricing and promotion across markets, evaluation of business proposals, performance monitoring and Innovation incubation are some of the areas in which Amarinder excelled during his stint at Powergen. Apart from this, he was also deputy manager at SBI Capital Markets.
With an exceptional track record in developing online properties in shopping, auto, astro and auctions domain, Amarinder is now in exploring latest developments and mapping trends in online consumer behaviour.
Amarinder holds technical and management degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, respectively.

A serial entrepreneur and seasoned executive with over twenty years of senior management and entrepreneurial experience in healthcare and software, Amar is passionate about creating successful products/companies in a dynamic eco-system. He currently heads Clove Dental, a rapidly expanding network of state-of-the-art dental clinics in Delhi NCR and the Chandigarh Tri-city Area. Founded in 2011, the network reflects a mission to identify and address oral healthcare needs in India by providing high-quality dentistry infrastructure for the Indian consumer.
A change agent with a proven record of building products ahead of the competition curve and reenergizing the lifecycle of existing products, Amar served global software concern SAP as senior vice president, Global Division, where he managed a team of over 500 professionals. While at SAP, he led and built SAP's RFID business into one of its fastest growing business units.
During his career as an entrepreneur, he has incubated successful companies across geographies. He created a niche for himself in the cloud computing space by building Amitive, now a leading (and patented) software application development platform.- In late 2010, GXS Solutions, a provider of monitoring, reporting and management solutions, acquired Amitive's platform and migrated its application portfolio onto Amitive's platform.
Additionally he co-founded Simplexis, a leading public sector procurement technology company in 2002. Simplexis delivered comprehensive eProcurement services to school districts and their suppliers nationwide throughout the U.S.
Amarinder holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a master’s degree in System Design (Gold Medalist) from Waterloo, Canada and a formal degree in mechanical engineering. He enjoys traveling, golf, tennis and spending time with family.

Amarjit Batra is a Sales & Marketing professional focused in the Internet space. Amarjit has successfully launched and grown Internet businesses in the C2C, B2C and B2B domains in India region.
Amarjit joined the OLX team in Dec 2008 to take over the responsibility to build and grow the India business for OLX. As the Country Manager for OLX India, Amarjit leads the category development efforts, executes marketing programs to create brand awareness and improve user engagement, build strategic partnerships and formulate strategies for driving growth. As a senior member of the OLX team, Amarjit also contributes to the Global Business Development initiatives for OLX and reports to both Fabrice Grinda and Alec Oxenford, Co- CEO and Co-Founders of OLX, Inc.
Prior to OLX, Amarjit was at eBay India, where he was heading the New Business and Global Trade business and was a part of the India Management team. In a 5 ½ year stint at eBay (and erstwhile Baazee), Amarjit has handled many roles in Category Management, Strategic partnerships, New Business, Rural Initiatives and Ad Sales.
Before eBay, Amarjit has done Business Consulting for Procurement Auction and B2B auctions businesses handling leadership and Business Development responsibilities with reputed corporate clients across India. As a common thread across his experience in the Internet, Amarjit has specialized in making markets online more efficient.

A seasoned Indian Ecommerce professional, Ambar looks at all aspects of building and improving ShopClues as a platform, enhancing customer experience, managing large teams and executing go-to-market strategies. He is passionate about creating and launching new businesses in digital space.
He has been a fast track performer throughout his career with a natural ability to drive an entire team with varied expertise levels, to success through conceptual analysis. Ambar creates strong, nimble culture driven teams with strong focus on data driven approaches and collaborative outlooks.
In an online marketplace that has more than 100 million monthly visits, Ambar has led the transformation of ShopClues Mobile app platform, so much so that 70% of ShopClues users come from Mobile and App and 35% are Frequent buyers, 50-60% of which are repeat buyers. He is a strong proponent of Predictive analytics developing a research system with more than 100 data points of consumer behaviour used for generating insights.
An alumnus of IIM-A, with a background in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Ambar firmly believes that User Experience (UX) trumps User Interface (UI). Ambar and his team at ShopClues prides themselves on minute level customer experience personalization with Root-Cause-Analysis and resolution. A technology and fitness enthusiast, Ambar has also worked as a software developer in Hughes and as a sales and marketing professional in Airtel before becoming an ecommerce professional.

Ambar looks after the Asset Management business at Indiabulls. A Chartered Accountant, Ambar brings with him substantial deal-making and structuring experience in the Real Estate sector. Prior to joining Indiabulls AMC, Ambar was associated with JLL as Managing Director, where he successfully ran five businesses including Corporate Finance, Education, Healthcare and Social Housing, Special Development Initiatives and Infrastructure. He had worked with DTZ for over five years profitably leading the Investment Advisory business for India which included Capital Raising, Valuations and Strategic Consulting Services. Additionally, the firm’s presence in West India for other service lines that included Commercial Leasing, Project Management and Research were set-up under Ambar’s leadership. With an overall experience of over 20 years in India and Australia, Ambar has been focusing on the Real Estate sector for the last 10 years. His non real estate stints as an investment banker included IL&FS where he set up the Fee Based Investment Banking business for India, Ambit Corporate Finance and KPMG.

An engineer to the core, Ambar is the founder and Managing Director at Wrig Nanosystems Pvt. Starting the company in a humble manner, Ambar has been successful in developing new technology products and products. He is responsible for various responsibilities at Wrig, including product development, strategic & financial planning and managing day to day operations.
Before founding Wrig, Ambar had had diverse experience across various industries. He worked extensively in bioelectronics in different assignments and project in different research labs in India and overseas. During his technical assignments he has dealt with challenges ranging from controlling the placement of DNA nanowires to evaluating extent of corrosion induced by seawater microbes. Apart from technical experience, Ambar has worked with private equity firms and management consultancies. In his corporate assignments he has been involved in financial planning, valuation of various companies, development of business processes and designing business strategies.
Ambar is a dual degree (bachelors & masters) graduate in Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology with focus on electrochemical immunosensing platforms (electrochemical biosensors), from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
