Nikhil Korgaonkar, Regional Director-India and SAARC, Arcserve

Nikhil Korgaonkar has 21 years’ experience, during which time he has focused on building and motivating cross-functional teams as well as managing and driving partner and customer relationships in a variety of industries.

At Arcserve Nikhil is managing India & SAARC responsibility for over 4.5 years.

At Veritas, before joining Arcserve, he was responsible for revamping the channel sales team as well as building channel confidence and establishing the go-to-market strategy in India following the company’s split from Symantec. Before joining Symantec in 2013, he spent over seven years in various regional leadership positions at Dell where he was recognised as one of the company’s most successful managers. Notable milestones in his tenure at Dell were winning the most coveted deal UID & management, growth of the SMB business in India including driving the move to a hybrid model combining direct and indirect sales which led to significant productivity improvements.

In addition to his knowledge of the IT industry, Nikhil Korgaonkar has cross-industry experience of working with multinational corporations in healthcare ( Wockhardt) and international logistics ( DHL). Nikhil Korgaonkar graduated as a Bachelor of Engineering (Instrumentation) from Mumbai University and holds a Masters degree in Management Studies from the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD where he did his Executive MBA.


Nikhil Kumar, MD, TD Power Systems Ltd

Nikhil Kumar is the founder and Managing Director of TD Power Systems (TDPS), manufacturers of large electric generators for turbine driven power plants up to 200 MW.  Founded in 1999, TDPS manufactures generators for steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro-electric turbines, diesel and gas engines and also builds thermal power plants on an EPC basis up to a size of 150 MW.  TDPS listed on the BSE and NSE in September 2011.

Nikhil is an engineer from NIT Suratkal.  He enjoys a competitive game of badminton; in his teens he was in the Asian Games squad for India as well as State Champion of Karnataka. He loves outdoor sports - scuba diving, trekking, skiing are his favourites.

His wife, Lavanya Sankaran, is an accomplished literary fiction writer. They have one daughter, Aarya, and live in Bangalore


Nikhil Naik, Director, Global Content and Distribution, Vuclip

With over 9 years of ‘digital’ experience under his belt, Nikhil currently heads the Global Content and Distribution division of Vuclip, the leading premium mobile video on demand (VOD) service for emerging markets where he is responsible for forging longstanding partnerships with key telecom operators, content and media partners, ad networks and device manufacturers.

Nikhil was amongst the first few hires at Vuclip and this provided him quasi-entrepreneurial experience and an all-round exposure into varied aspects of digital business. He was instrumental in designing the company’s business model, designing its organizational structure and serving as an expansion specialist for the markets in Africa, Middle East & South East Asia.

At present, he is concentrating his efforts on expanding the depth and breadth of Vuclip’s subscriber engagement in emerging markets of the world by making them access content that meets their interest. This entails building and strengthening the network of partnerships with content providers across various markets in South Asia, South East Asia, Africa and the MENA region.
 
Nikhil is also involved in Vuclip’s distribution business and has worked with leading handset brands, ODMs such as Samsung (MEA, India, Singapore), Nokia (Finland, US), Micromax and Xiaomi and browsers such as, Firefox (US, Asia, Africa), Opera and UC Web to name a few.

Nikhil began his career with Tata Docomo, a telecommunication JV between Indian multinational conglomerate Tata and Japanese telecom giant, NTT Docomo as Business Manager in charge of the Internet Business. He was responsible for handling all products and partnerships related aspects of Internet business. Some of the clients and products that he handled include Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook, Opera and Vuclip.

During his association with Tata Docomo, he channelized his efforts towards launching projects including Facebook Telco partnership (first in Asia), Opera net pack (first in Asia), Yahoo-Docomo Co branded Start page (first in Asia), Twitter on text (first in Asia), email on SMS service (first in India), Pay by Character SMS service (first time for any Telecom company), Multi screen mobile TV (first in India) and Google Search (GMAPI).

Nikhil is a computer engineering graduate and holds an MBA degree in Marketing.


Nikhil Narendran, Partner, Trilegal

Nikhil Narendran is a Partner in the TMT team of Trilegal and has more than 12 years of experience in the technology, telecom, media, and commercial law practice areas.

Nikhil has substantial experience in advising companies such as Telenor, Meem, Sembcorp, Robert Bosch, Thomson Reuters, and Accenture on IP disputes, licensing, structuring, technology transfers, commercial IP utilization, re-negotiation and content liability laws. Nikhil has substantial experience in advising telecom and technology companies such as Truecaller, HP, AWS, and Amazon on a range of regulatory and contractual matters such as in relation to content liability, cyber security and data protection.  

He was the winner of the ITechLaw Association's (formerly Computer Law Association) Travelling Fellowship Award 2011, as a part of which he worked at six European firms specializing in TMT. He was the Chair of ITechLaw Substantive Law committee on Interactive Entertainment & Media and is on the board of directors of the ITechLaw. He has been recognized in the Who’s Who Legal Telecommunication, Media and Technology and Who’s Who Data, IBLJ and Chambers and Partners. He recently authored a chapter on Big Data in State Possession as a part of the handbook on Blockchain for Property Governance published by the India Property Alliance. He recently co-authored a chapter on accountability in the publication Responsible AI-A Global Policy Framework. This was released in Boston in May 2019 and was released in India by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in August 2019.


Nikhil Raghavan, Principal, Bain Capital Advisors (India) Pvt Ltd

Mr. Raghavan has been with Bain Capital since 2008. At Bain Capital, Nikhil focuses on Technology and Consumer Goods, and is responsible for developing Bain’s Southeast Asia presence.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Raghavan was with The Boston Consulting Group, where he advised clients in Technology and Business Services. Mr. Raghavan also spent a number of years in the enterprise software industry and as an entrepreneur.

Nikhil Sen, Managing Director, Unibic Biscuits

Nikhil Sen belongs a one-organization man, who has moved on to becoming a successful business entrepreneur with Unibic Biscuits India. He has risen from the role of a Management Trainee in Britannia through the sales team culminating in his appointment as Head of domestic as well as exports sales. He also managed the marketing function of one of India’s most visible and vibrant companies. In early 2000, after business leadership stints in the SBUs, he went ahead to lead one of India’s most trusted brands and most sought after Food companies as Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Sen is a strategist of repute. He is credited to have co-authored the strategy of re inventing brand Britannia and launch of Tiger brand in the mass market. His strategic initiatives include “Britannia for a life time” which made the brand relevant to various age groups through a detailed cohort analysis. This resulted in Britannia successfully straddling both ends of the spectrum i.e. health and staples on the one hand fulfilling hunger appeasement and snacking and indulgence fulfilling oral gratification on the other.

Nikhil is the founder at Dialify Technologies which builds Audio Games for delivery over telephony networks. Nikhil has worked in the Media, Internet & Telecom industries in India for the past 15 years. Most of this work has been for The Times Group and Reliance ADAG.

He was the VP- Technology Stratergy at Reliance Big Entertainment where he founded BigAdda, a social networking site  & zapak.com, India's largest Gaming company.

Nikhil has a B.Com degree from Nagpur University and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Pune University.
