Murali Malayappan, CMD, Shriram Properties
An alumnus of Harvard Business School, Mr Murali is the Chairman and Managing Director of Shriram Properties, and also the Non Executive Chairman of Shriram Group. As a pre-eminent property developer, Murali delivers quality homes and commercial spaces to his trusting customers, rewarding careers to his industrious employees and phenomenal returns to the various stakeholders in his business. His objective is to make the nation’s Housing for All mission a reality.
Mr. Murali, at the age of 28, in 1997 took over the reins of Shriram Properties. He has been instrumental in attracting FDI and Non-FDI investments of nearly USD 435 million from majors like Walton Street Capital, Starwood Capital Group, TPG Capital, TATA opportunities fund, Sun Apollo, ICICI Prudential, ASK, Motilal Oswal and Amplus. Trust, Transparency, and credibility are his watchwords.
In May 2017 Shriram Properties had a USD 350 million deal with Xander group - making it the largest private equity deal in the real estate space. Mr. Murali was singularly instrumental for this big deal.
Mr. Murali is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Shriram Group managing the non financial services of the group like Infrastructure, Project Development, Engineering Services, Power Generation, Information Technology, real estate Development and more recently the aerospace business.
Mr. Murali has institutionalized practices that make Shriram Properties the most trusted, honest and progressive corporate in Indian real estate industry. The company operates across verticals such as SEZs, integrated townships, IT parks, retail space, hospitality, senior-citizen homes as well as leisure home.

Walmart, Metro C&C, Lintas & Godrej Experience has been with start-ups, growth organisations, small and large organisations. Currently heading Sagar Ratna Restaurants Pvt Ltd., the largest Indian restaurant chain with 90+ restaurants and impact livelihoods of 3000+ employee families in the F&B industry.

Murali Rao Manduva, Chief Technology Officer, DCB Bank
Mr. Murali Rao is associated with DCB Bank as CTO driving various transformational initiatives for the Bank. He is an MCA graduate (batch of 1999) from NIT, Trichy. A IT professional with over two decades of experience in middle and senior management roles in IT services & Product Organizations such as COSL, Polaris, Iflex and Infosys primarily working on banking projects/ products and implementing the same across various banks both in India and overseas.
Muralikrishnan B, Country Manager, eBay India
Muralikrishnan B. is the 36 year old dynamic Country Manager of eBay India. Murali is responsible for leading the eBay business in India, the Philippines & Malaysia & is an active evangelist of eCommerce’s transformational potential for both Indian online shoppers & entrepreneurs.
Murali joined eBay in 2005 and has held a variety of leadership roles in eBay India, most recently as Sr. Director – Marketing & Product Management. His many achievements included driving a scalable hybrid local development model which significantly enhanced and localized eBay India’s user experience. Murali is also responsible for building the eBay India brand & is focused on driving eCommerce trial amongst Indian internet users & fostering buyer engagement. Murali was also responsible for leading eBay India’s foray into Mobile Commerce.
In the course of his career, Murali has worked with Asian Paints managing Sales & Administration in various rural markets. Transitioning into the New Economy in 2000, he played a significant role in starting up India’s largest cybercafé chain, Sify Iways, at Sify Corp and later led Product Management for Sify’s Consumer business.
Murali is a Mechanical Engineer from Osmania University, Hyderabad and an alumnus of IIM Calcutta. An enthusiastic sports fan especially passionate about Cricket & Squash, Murali is also a photography buff spending his spare time behind the camera capturing nature, landscapes and architecture. He is currently relishing the joys of parenthood and bringing up his son.
Murli Ravi, Co-founder, Unicorn Venture Capital
Murli Ravi has been involved in over 25 companies spanning a wide variety of industry sectors and stages of development across Singapore, India, Silicon Valley, New York and Australia. His roles have included being co-founder, board member, venture capitalist, founder advisor and operating executive. He currently holds honorary roles as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Guest Lecturer at INSEAD and NUS Business School. He was previously Head of South Asia at JAFCO and an investments professional at Temasek Holdings.
Murli has been on the Internet since the early 90s and is a self-taught (but sadly lapsed) Perl programmer. He has lived in Singapore, India, Taiwan, Malaysia and the US, and speaks and reads some Mandarin Chinese.
Murli Ravi, Head of South Asia Investment, Jafco Asia
Murli Ravi joined JAFCO Asia in 2008. He is currently Head of South Asia Investments. He is based in the Singapore office and is responsible for investments in South Asia. During his tenure so far, he has served on the board of 12 portfolio companies. Among others, his current board appointments include Consilium, CustomerXPs, Microland, Microqual, Mistral, Mozat and Vriti .
Prior to joining JAFCO Asia, Murli worked in investments, consulting and research at Temasek Holdings, RedPill Solutions and INSEAD, during the course of which he acquired knowledge of industries such as mining, telecom/media, consumer goods, agriculture and alternative fuels. Transactions he has worked on have spanned a wide range of sizes, ranging from early-stage venture deals to significant minority stakes in large-cap public companies.
Murli obtained the CFA charter in 2006, holds an MSc in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and received a Certificate in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA). He was awarded the SIA-NOL undergraduate scholarship to study engineering at the National University of Singapore.

In 1997, Murugavel Janakiraman pioneered online matchmaking in India with the launch of BharatMatrimony, which is today the world’s largest and most trusted matrimony service. The company is powered by 4000+ employees across 180+ branches in 20 major cities in India.
He had his humble beginnings as a programmer and used spare time to build a Tamil Community Site to connect NRIs in the US, back in 1997.
Twice he was nominated by The Economic Times for the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Besides being awarded Digital Entrepreneur of the Year by WAT, he was also Chairman Emeritus of the IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India).

BE in Computer Science from NIT Calicut; MBA from IIM Bangalore; Worked with Motorola, Citibank & Intel before venturing into iD in 2008 along with my cousins. iD now employs around 1000 people & feed around a million people on a daily basis. We now sells 50000 kg batter per day resulting in "a million idli a day". iD is funded by Helion ventures.
MVS Murthy, ?Head Product Management, Savings Account & Loyalty, ICICI Bank
M V S Murthy, is a consumer marketing professional and brings to the table over 15 years of work experience. During this time he has transitioned from conventional advertising, into digital marketing and then over to the marketer's side. He has been an ICICI Banker for a large part of his career.
The roles he has handled include those of client servicing and account planning, interactive strategy, key account management & business development. With ICICI Bank he has worked on new Customer acquistion both at retail and corporate levels. He was the Head of Product, Portfolio & Marketing for Privilege Banking at ICICI Bank
At present he looks after New Product Development for retail liability products and also the bank's My Savings Rewards Loyalty Program. He is a digital migrant and is presently working on being digital to stay relevant in blurring geographies and data driven marketing.
