Manoj Kumar Gupta is the Head, VAS at Micromax Informatics Limited. He carries over 13 years of Sales & Marketing Experience with last 10 years experience in the Telecom Space with domain expertise in Revenue Marketing across Telco’s OEM through use of Value added Services. In current assignment at Micromax he built-up a revenue vertical delivering Revenues worth Rs. 700 Mn within first 12 months of operation
Prior to Micromax he led Similar Assignments with Samsung as Lead Architect – Content & Value Added Service delivery & growing the Revenue Wallet to over INR 1000+ Mn as well as at Bharti Airtel Limited Where led Delhi Team to Break Barriers of 300 Mn monthly revenues at one the Toughest Telecom Circles such as Delhi.
Other noted Achievements he was instrumental in bringing a paradigm shift by pioneering to engage Content Partners on Business Commitments instead of the much abused Minimum Guarantees practices followed earlier.
He is a MBA (Marketing & IT) from I.P. University,Delhi and B.Sc. (Electronics) from Hindu College;Delhi University.

Manoj is Principal at Nexus Venture Partners. He is very active in Internet, Wellness and Agri/Rural ecosystem in India and has been involved in grooming highly scalable businesses in these sectors. He is on the board of companies like Deccan healthcare, Sohanlal and SEDEMAC. Prior to Nexus, he co-founded a semiconductor technology company, WIT, in US which was later acquired by Chrontel.
Manoj has an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad, B.Tech from IIT Bombay, MS from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and CPhil from University of California, San Diego. He has published several papers in IEEE journals and has filed several patents in the US.

In his corporate stint he has indeed created the company from scratch into an organization with 3000+ employees and $320Mn sales. CEO turned founder, his aim is to build the biggest consumer centric ecommerce company that fulfills aspirations of people in smaller towns of India.He started the first brick,click and flip company in India edabba.com.
Before starting edabba.com he has worked with top Indian houses in different capacities(mangement trainee to CEO) future group, rpg retail, BPL, bajajelectricals,Blowplast and Godrej.
He has been been awarded multiple accolades at a national level. Given his multi disciplinary background .

Manoj has over 10 years of experience in Strategy Consulting & Investment Banking, across diverse sectors including healthcare, chemicals, financial services, manufacturing, FMCG, and telecommunications. He has earlier worked with Accenture India as a strategy consultant. He was Associate Vice President at Equirus Capital Private Limited for almost five and a half years. Manoj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
