Jayanta Banerjee, Managing Partner, ASK Pravi Capital Advisors

Jayanta has over 25 years of industry experience with the last 15 years in the private equity business in India. He has in-depth experience of full cycle investing and fund raising in private equity. Prior to joining the private equity industry Jayanta was an entrepreneur. He has also been an investment banker and has worked in the industrial sector. Previously, Jayanta was President – Private Equity at ICICI Venture. Prior to that, he was the India head of private equity at Lehman Brothers. Jayanta has led investments across sectors and is on the boards of multiple portfolio companies.


Jayanta Basu, Managing Partner, CX Partners

Prior to co-founding CX Advisors LLP, Jayanta was a Director with CVCI, where he had over eight years of investing experience. During his tenure with CVCI, he worked to identify and invest, manage and exit a large number of companies across a wide spectrum of industries including, among others, IT enabled services, financial services, auto, metals and mining, infrastructure, pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals, oil and gas services, media and textiles. He serves on the boards of the following CX Fund 1 portfolio companies: Matrix, Sutures, SIS, TSI, Minacs and Ujjivan.

Jaydeep Barman, Co-Founder & CEO, Faaso's Food Services Pvt. Ltd.

Jaydeep Barman is the co-founder and CEO at Faaso's which is a quick service restaurant that serves up wraps, that is, rolls with fillings. Set up in 2004 with seed capital of Rs 8 lakh, Faaso's is opening a new store practically every month, at a cost of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh each.

Jaydeep thought of the idea for Faaso's based on the Kati rolls he had seen in his hometown of Kolkata, West Bengal. After his MBA, Barman moved to Pune, Maharashtra to work for Brainvisa Technologies. In Pune, Barman met Kallol Banerjee who was also an alumnus of IIM Lucknow and they both founded Faaso’s as a part-time business in 2004.

Jaydeep has a degree in production engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, an MBA from IIM-Lucknow and has done a management programme at INSEAD, France. Subsequently he moved to London to work as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co. for 5 years before moving back to India to work full time at Fasso's.


Jaydeep Nargund, Head Services, Akamai Technologies

Jaydeep Nargund is the Sr. Service Line Manager at Akamai Technologies region. Akamai Technologies, Inc. provides services for accelerating and improving the delivery of content and applications over the Internet, from live and on-demand streaming videos to conventional content on Websites, to tools that help people transact business.

He has been with Akamai for more than 5 years and has played various roles in this tenure at Akamai. Jaydeep holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bangalore University. In his previous work life has been involved in various technical leadership positions with major IT services organizations.

Mr. Jayesh Bhargava is Senior Vice President at HSBC Securities Services in Mumbai. He heads the sales team of Corporate Trustee and Loan Agency business in India which comprises of escrow services, Bankers to Issues and Trustee products. He has a rich experience in the banking and financial services industry for more than 15 years. He was working with the Deutsche Bank Corporate Banking division in the German Mid Bank segment prior to his role with HSBC.

He is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant by profession.

Shri Jayesh Taori, Associate Vice President, Primary Market Relationship, National Stock Exchange is currently Heading the SME platform and supporting the SMEs of our country to list on NSE Emerge.

He is a Company Secretary and fellow member of ICSI, India and ICSA United Kingdom and has over 16 years of experience.

Jayesh, joined NSE in 2007, as a part of the Membership team handling member registration, compliances & other membership continuation processes. In the year 2011, he was pulled to be part of a project team for the launch of a platform for growing SMEs to list on the stock exchange. The platform was successfully launched in 2012 and was named NSE Emerge. Further, he also actively contributed to the launch of Emerge-ITP, an Institutional Trading Platform for start-ups and young companies to list without an IPO in the year 2013. Jayesh continues to play a pivotal role in engaging with stakeholders like SEBI, Merchant Bankers, State Governments, Industrial Associations, MSMEs and managing primary market relationships.


Jennifer Choi, VP, Industry and External Affairs - EMEA

Jennifer Choi manages EMPEA’s member and industry engagement initiatives. Jennifer runs the association's regional Member Councils, and works with EMPEA's Legal and Regulatory Council to encourage policy frameworks that support the growth of the asset class. A frequent speaker and commentator on the industry, Jennifer also oversees the association's communications with the media and non-industry audiences, as well as EMPEA's institutional partnerships and global collaboration efforts.

As EMPEA’s first research director from 2006 to 2011, Jennifer built EMPEA's content portfolio, including the EMPEA Insights and Private Equity Impact Case Studies series, and led the creation of the industry's first global database of private equity activity in emerging markets.

Prior to EMPEA, Jennifer was a consultant with Boston-based Stax Inc., leading due diligence engagements and providing advisory services and portfolio company strategic planning support for the private equity industry. Jennifer’s previous experience includes organizational development and strategy consulting for clients in the healthcare, financial services and pharmaceutical sectors.

Jennifer holds a Masters in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.A. summa cum laude in Economics and Political Science from Augustana College.
