Kabir leads investments in technology, consumer and financial services at Eight Roads Ventures India (formerly Fidelity Growth Partners). He brings over 15 years of experience in management consulting and private equity. Kabir has led investments/sits on the board of several companies including BankBazaar, Icertis, CredR, ShadowFax, Toppr, AbsolutData, Milk Mantra, ClassTeacher, Cygnus, Greenlight Planet and Chai Point.
Prior to joining Eight Roads, Kabir was with Warburg Pincus where he completed investments in a leading budget hotel chain, a port and a BPO company in India. At the firm, he worked extensively in healthcare delivery, financial services (including managing portfolio investments in Kotak Mahindra Bank, Max India) and IT Services/BPO. Kabir has worked at leading consulting firms, McKinsey & Co. in India and the Boston Consulting Group in the US. His consulting projects were in the areas of strategy and operations in the US, UK and India. Kabir holds a BA Hons degree in Mathematics from St. Stephen's College and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

He founded Quick Heal Technologies under the name of CAT Computer Services in 1993. An inspiration to many entrepreneurs, he built the empire through sheer hard work, keen business acumen and a solid moral foundation. As founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Quick Heal Technologies, Kailash leads the sales, marketing, customer services and technical support teams and also provides guidance to the wide network of dealers and distributors. Under his leadership, the company has achieved a market share of more than 30% in revenue in India.
He has been felicitated with multiple recognitions including the Rotary Recognition Award and the Entrepreneurs International Honors for his exemplary contribution and significant achievement in the field of IT.

Kailash Vaswani, Deputy Chief Financial Officer, ReNew Power Ventures
Kailash is the Dy. Chief Financial Officer at ReNew Power. He has more than 17 years of hands-on experience in corporate finance and investing. He spearheaded a team that resulted in US$200M fund raise from Goldman Sachs for ReNew Power as a startup in 2011 and has since then been responsible for all fund raised at ReNew. As part of ReNew, he has lead the cumulative debt raise in excess of US$3 bn. for the various projects of the Group and cumulative equity raise of US$ 1.1 billion from marquee global investors such as Goldman Sachs, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Asian Development Bank, JERA, CPPIB and Global Environment Fund. He has also led large scale acquisitions for ReNew. Prior to ReNew Power, he worked in Corporate Finance and Investments division at Saffron Asset Advisors and Aditya Birla Group. His key strengths include fund raising, transaction structuring, negotiations and corporate finance.
Kaivaan Movdawalla, Director- Healthcare Consulting, Ernst & Young
Kaivaan is a Director in EY’s Performance Improvement practice in India. He has been associated with Ernst & Young for more than 13 years with a dedicated focus on healthcare consulting in the last decade. He has led and executed end to end advisory solutions spanning strategy, operations transformation and business systems across various sectors including provider care, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals. In addition, he has been actively involved in creation of thought leadership, contributing to a number of publications and articles in the area of healthcare (topics such as Re-engineering Healthcare, Universal Health Cover, Call for action – Oncology & Infertility, Innovation in Healthcare, and Fostering Quality Healthcare for All). He has also been associated with various healthcare industry bodies in their representations to the government in regard to regulatory reforms especially around healthcare pricing currently.
His passion is working with provider care chains and their PE investors to transform & consolidate operations and significantly improve operating margins by pulling key cost and revenue levers.
His experience with key provider care clients include key corporate chains namely Fortis, Max, Medanta, Manipal, HCG, Care, Global, KIMS, Columbia Asia, Medica, Cloudnine etc and PEs namely Carlyle, Advent, Temasek, TPG, True North, ICICI Venture, Olympus etc on their healthcare investments where he was worked with them actively in their pursuit of operational excellence.

Kalpana has over 24 years of professional services experience. She heads GT dGTL a venture of Grant Thornton that would focus on emerging technologies and Digital Finance. Prior to joining GT, she ran her own digital consulting start up for a year and half. She earlier pent 21 years with KPMG. The last eight years that she was Partner at KPMG she headed emerging tech, ran the UK corridor and was lead partner for three global platinum accounts. She has significant experience on working with UK region for over 15 years cross clients like HSBC, Unilever, Diageo, Tesco, SAB Miller, Myntra FlipKart, etc.
She brings the business perspective to investing in emerging technologies and likes to call herself as a Func Tech specialized in Finance.
She is passionate about human centered design and AI and has trained 500 plus clients and professionals in skills of the Future enabled by digital dexterity
She has excellent connections in the Indian tech start up landscape and has participated in large innovation programs of Fortune 500 and FTSE 250 clients integrating the New with the Old.
Kalpesh Desai, Director, BMR Advisors
Kalpesh joined as a Senior Associate in corporate tax team of BMR in 2004 and has been advising clients in financial services sector; during this period he assisted in structuring venture capital funds, assisted in structuring inbound and outbound investments including advising entry, exit and cash repatriation strategies.
alpesh holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is based in Mumbai.
