Gaurav Hinduja, Co-founder, Capital Float | @CapitalFloat
From his early days as the head of operations at Gokaldas Exports, Gaurav brings to his start up team at Capital Float a deep understanding of operations and a tremendous drive to win in a fast paced and competitive business environment.
His previous role at Gokaldas, running operations at India’s largest apparel manufacturer employing 40,000 people with $250 million in revenues has transformed Gaurav into an astute business leader, driven by quick and calculated decision making, and a clear vision. At Capital Float, he understands what it takes to build the right team, and while he may run a tight ship, he remains nonchalant about getting the job done, and staying ahead of the game.
Gaurav did his MBA from Stanford University after graduating in Commerce from Christ University. From a business family, and an early stage entrepreneur himself, Gaurav is extremely passionate about the small and medium business community in India and believes that one day Capital Float will create a capital revolution in India.
Gaurav Jain, Managing Director, ColdEX
Gaurav in his role as MD provides strategic support to the business to ensure that ColdEX growth story continues and that we have a sustainable business model. Gaurav's key role today is to steer the group on a pre-determined growth plan, develop and foster relationships with investors and strategic clients and mentor the leadership team. He was nominated for Forbes India Leadership Award 2012.
Gaurav Jain, Principal, Kaizen Private Equity
Gaurav is a Principal at Kaizen Private Equity. Kaizen Private Equity is Asia’s first education focussed Private Equity firm.
He has over 9 years of private equity experience and leads investments in India. He also leads the fund’s research efforts that serve to define the fund’s investment theses, and drives the development of Kaizen’s thought-leadership reports for the Education sector. He has closely been involved with Kaizen’s investments in Altus, K12 Techno, WizIQ, EduPristine and Impartus He is a silver medallist from NMIMS University, Mumbai, from where he received his MBA.
Gaurav Jain, CEO, Mast Kalandar
Gaurav Jain , Founder CEO, has been a retail enthusiast all his life. He comes from a family with retail consumer background and has always been passionate about this sector.
Gaurav has an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad and B.E. from MNREC Allahabad. Prior to Mast Kalandar, he worked for about 5 years in IT industry. He has had good stints with Planetasia (Microland) and then with Wipro Technologies. He has handled various sales & marketing roles for various geographies like the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. His strengths have always been to create new opportunities and execute them.
In one of the IT assignments, he got to work with Australian food chains, which made him to start his entrepreneurial journey in retail sector in India.
Gaurav a keen eye for detail and likes to work on processes & systems, which make the operations efficient and scalable.
His hobbies include reading, photography and traveling.
Gaurav Kachru, CEO, DealsAnd You
Gaurav Kachru is the new Chief Executive Officer of leading group buying portal DealsAnd You and will be based out of Gurgaon. Prior to this, Gaurav has led New Business Incubation & Corporate Development functions across the Smile Group which has businesses with Yahoo!, ScanGroup, Group Buying Global AG & Brand Alliance Network (Private Shopping).
Gaurav has been instrumental in the growth of FashionAndYou.com, which is setting new milestones on month-on-month basis, he is an integral part of Deals And You.com as a Co-Founder since its acquisition and integration.
Gaurav has led the Manpower Inc’s Global Accounts business in 14 countries across Asia Pacific. Gaurav also had a decade long stint with General Electric in his last assignment, Country Director with GE Transportation in India, helping grow sales for the locomotive business. He was part of the team that built & sold GE Capital International Services (GECIS), now Genpact LLC to GAP & Oakhill Capital in the largest transaction in the BPO industry in India.
He has represented GE in Government of India sub-committees (Task Force on HRD for IT & ITES) & various state government engagements. Gaurav is an MBA in Finance & International Business from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He is also a certified Six Sigma professional.
Gaurav Kapoor, Head Capital, British High Commission
Gaurav Kapoor spearheads the British Government’s c.$400m development capital investments in India and the country relationship with the UK’s Development Finance Institution. This includes inclusive economic development, fostering new markets across sectors and regions and contribution towards Global Goals 2030.
He has more than two decades work experience across private equity and venture capital investment funds, responsible PE/VC investments and inclusive corporate development having led more than $3-billion worth of transactions.
Gaurav is a strong advocate for responsible and ethical investments, gender lens investing and ESG as well as the role of data and transparency in helping make India’s alternative asset industry more attractive to domestic and global investors. He has been a speaker and jury member on several industry panels and conclaves such as IVCA, India Impact Investors Council, VCCircle, TiE, CNBC TV18.
Gaurav Kapoor, Head Inclusive Growth and Investments Team, UK Department for International Development (DFID)
A seasoned adviser, Gaurav has about 20 years of experience across investment funds, responsible PE/VC investments, corporate development and policy reform having worked in India and international markets. Gaurav brings substantial policy advocacy experience on economic development interventions such as business climate reform, making markets work in the low income states and ensuring value for money, in partnership with the Indian Government and apex institutions on India’s progressive reform agenda. Gaurav represents DFID on several Investment Committees, Investment Advisory Committees. Gaurav holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD, France and Wharton, USA and a B.Eng (Hons) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Gaurav Kataria, Chief Digital and Information Officer, Sai Life Sciences Ltd
Gaurav Kataria is Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at Sai Life Sciences, a leading CRO-CDMO providing drug discovery, development and manufacturing services to innovator pharma companies and biotechs worldwide. In his role as CDIO, Gaurav is responsible for driving the organization’s digital and IT strategy in line with its vision and global growth aspirations. He is also responsible for IT and cyber security for the company.
In a career spanning over 21 years, Gaurav has rich experience across digital transformation, technology, consulting, marketing & strategy.
Prior to Sai Life Sciences, Gaurav was a P&L leader at Cyient responsible for formulating the digital strategy, building digtal products and delivering digital solutions for its Aerospace and Defense (A&D) customers globally. He was also the Global Chief Information Officer overseeing the IT strategy with a focus on adopting technology to drive business process change. He also chaired the IT Security Council (acting as the CISO).
Previously, Gaurav was at Feedback Consulting, where he headed the consulting practice for the Customer Division with client acquisition and P&L responsibilities. He also led select strategy consulting assignments across industry sectors. At HCL Technologies, he was the head of Marketing & Strategy for Key Accounts and lead the innovation program across the firm. He worked closely with the CEO's office on multiple strategic initiatives.
Gaurav is an Advisory Board member for the Global Intrapreneur Institute (GII). He has been a mentor to start-ups and was an invited member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Innovation Committee from 2011 to 2013.
Gaurav holds an engineering degree with a Masters of Sciences (MS) from BITS, Pilani and executive business education from Harvard Business School Publishing, Boston, MA.

Gaurav Khungar, MD, o3 Capital
Gaurav Khungar is a Managing Director of o3 Capital. He has over 18 years of investment banking experience and has advised on more than 60 transactions across sectors such as auto, consumer, industrials and telecom.
Gaurav focuses on the firm’s investment banking activities in the Consumer Markets, Life Sciences and Industrial sector. Prior to joining o3, Gaurav was Managing Director & Head of Corporate Finance at Religare Capital Markets, and before that, he was a partner at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was heading the Delhi office as well as the Practice Head for Industrials. He has also had stints with Rabo Bank and Lazard in his early career.
Gaurav is a graduate from University of Delhi and holds an M.B.A. from University of North Carolina.
