Tata Capital Growth Fund ("TCGF"), a USD 225 million sector agnostic private equity fund was raised in 2011 with participation from global and Indian institutional investors. Tata Capital Innovations Fund is a sector agnostic venture capital fund managed by Tata Capital. The Fund invests in the range of US$ 2 mn to US$10 mn in early stage companies offering technology based solutions for Indian as well as global markets.
The Fund’s investment philosophy is to back the right entrepreneurial spirit by identifying investments which have a potential to create new growth opportunities; increase efficiency; bring affordability and accessibility to the industry or change the way business is conducted.

Tata Capital Private Equity
The Tata Opportunities Fund (TOF) is a conventionally structured third party private equity fund which invests in select Tata group entities as well as other independent Indian businesses. TOF’s investees benefit both from its capital (typically $30m to $100m per investment) as well as from access to the Tata group’s global reach and wide ranging long established industry presence. The fund is sector and stage agnostic and invests in both minority and control deals. TOF completed the final close of its latest fund in 2013 with commitments of ~USD 600 million from a select list of marquee global investors.
Tata Capital Innovations Fund invests in technology companies which offer sustainable technology advantage and cater to large incumbent markets. It is a stage and sector agnostic fund with focus on early stage technology companies in the cleantech, healthcare, agriculture and advanced materials & systems sectors. The fund prefers to investment in opportunities where the proof of concept has been established, patents are likely or obtained. The typical ticket size is between INR 15 crores to 40 crores. The Innovations Fund currently has a domestic leg with commitments from marquee domestic and financial institutions and has made five investments across various themes till date.
The Tata Capital Healthcare Fund (TCHF) invests growth capital in healthcare companies that have a significant proportion of their operations in India. The Fund’s strategy is based on taking advantage of high growth opportunities in the US$74 billion Indian healthcare sector over the next decade. The Fund targets significant minority positions in portfolio companies with board representation and other significant shareholder rights. The typical deal size for TCHF is in the range of US$5-15 mn and the average holding period is five years. TCHF presently has two investments in its portfolio
TCHF's Investment Strategy is predicated across two themes:
1. Consumption Theme: Capitalizing on growth opportunities within the Indian healthcare sector given increasing per capita healthcare spending due to growing health awareness, changing disease patterns and rise in disposable income.
