Dharminder Nagar, MD, Paras Healthcare

Dr. Dharminder Nagar is the Managing Director of Paras Healthcare. He has the unique advantage of being a doctor, hospital administrator and entrepreneur all in one. Several qualifications that include an MBBS from Mysore Medical College, MPhil from BITS Pilani, MS from Imperial College and MBA from Harvard, have propelled this young and dynamic MD to the forefront of healthcare. Dr. Nagar’s missionary zeal to make health services accessible to all Indians led to the establishment of Paras Healthcare, which is founded on the three principles of affordability, accessibility and quality.

Dr. Nagar’s keenness to deliver accessible tertiary medical care to people of every social strata is obvious from the cutting edge technologies and infrastructure present in all hospitals, at affordable prices. He supports every Indian’s right to healthcare and plans to introduce new models of healthcare delivery that empower patients at every stage, from the primary to the tertiary. Imparting awareness about healthy living practices is an important component of services at hospitals. A strong rural marketing strategy that includes Telemedicine supports the activities of Paras HMRI in Patna also enables communities in the far flung areas of Bihar, Jharkhand and Haryana to access medical care.

Dr. Nagar is a leader with a strong social bent of mind, committed to realizing his vision of providing healthcare solutions for the common man. Corporate social responsibility is integral to Paras Healthcare, and the three hospitals run by the group- Paras Hospitals in Gurgaon, Paras Bliss in South Delhi, Paras Bliss in Panchkula ,Paras HMRI in Patna and Paras Global Hospital in Darbhanga- were built in response to unmet healthcare needs of the rural and urban people in the region. Hailing from a rural background, Dr. Nagar is determined to bridge the gap between the rich and poor, and has built hospitals in areas that lack health infrastructure, specialists and tertiary care. Ultimately Dr. Nagar perceives Paras Healthcare as a partner in health for the common man.

Dr Dharminder Nagar has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year (2015) Award at the India Health & Wellness Summit 2015 and Dynamic Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 by Six Sigma Healthcare Awards at the World Entrepreneur Summit.

Dhaval Agarwal, Director – Investments, Tuscan Ventures

Dhaval works as Director – Investments with Tuscan Ventures since 2009. He specializes in the financial services, logistics and food sectors. Dhaval has led both early as well as growth stage deals on behalf of the firm. He particularly enjoys working with companies in their early stages and working closely with the founding team on growing the business.

Prior to his stint with Tuscan, Dhaval used to be an entrepreneur where he incubated his own project logistics company. In the company, he managed global multimodal supply chains for several large infrastructure projects across India spanning Power, Oil and Gas, Metals and Minerals, Cement, Infrastructure etc.

Dhaval holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York.

Dhaval Pandya, Corporate CIO, Piramal Enterprise Ltd.

Dhaval Pandya is the Corporate Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Piramal Enterprises Limited. He is responsible for strategizing and implementing end-to-end technologies for Corporate Functions and Corporate Applications for the Group as well as Pharma businesses. Dhaval will also drive technology team’s vision for the group, strengthening technology Culture in the organization.

In his prior assignment, he was the CIO & CDO at JSW Paints Private Limited, Mumbai – a startup within the billion-dollar JSW business conglomerate. As a part of the Core Leadership Team, he was involved in all the strategic initiatives and discussions across the functions. Being a startup, he developed the complete digital & information technology backbone grounds up across the entire value chain – spanning across Internal Customers, Operations & Supply Chain, Channel, Field, Influencers and Consumers.

He comes from a consulting background and his vision is to deploy technology that can provide a sustainable competitive advantage in the long run & enable business of the future. He adopts a KPI driven approach for identification of technology & levers of change to drive business outcomes & increase user adoption. Some of the key considerations include leveraging Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI & ML), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Industry 4.0 & IoT, Blockchain, AR, VR, Chabot / Digital Assistant, Cloud, Analytics, Mobility and Social (CAMS) among others

He participates as an expert, speaker & panelist at various forums to deliver thought leadership around providing a point of view, evaluation, applicability & futuristic potential of various levers in information technology and digital.

Dhaval V Pandya, Corporate Chief Information Officer, Piramal Enterprises Limited

Dheemant Thacker, Digital Banking Head, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank

Dheemant is a digital banking and product innovation professional with over 15 years of experience in Banking & Financial Services. He has successfully built teams and setup business verticals to operate as independent P&L units in Mobile Innovation, Social Media & Artificial Intelligence and UI / UX. He has successfully led the development, launch and management of digital products, channels & innovations in Mobile, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media and new-age technologies like IoT, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality etc. space with a focus on generating better ROI for the organization. He has worked with HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla Capital and Bandhan Bank. At Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, he has setup the Digital Banking function and is driving the digital initiatives of the bank.

Dheepak Rajoo, SVP, Head of IT PMO | Digital Transformation - Cultural Transformation, RBL Bank

Dheeraj Aneja, SVP, Fintech and Payments, Flipkart

Dheeraj Aneja is the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Fintech and Payments Group at Flipkart. He joined in December 2021 and currently leads the Fintech division at Flipkart which includes products such as Flipkart Pay Later, Co-branded Credit Card, Gift Cards, Payment, among others.

Dheeraj brings with him 17 years of experience across Fintech and Financial services  and has previously held leadership roles across strategy, product, business partnerships, operations and risk management. He has strong domain expertise, a deep understanding of the Fintech ecosystem and a commendable track record of scaling Fintech and Payments businesses.
Prior to Flipkart, Dheeraj has led teams at MobiKwik, Ernst & Young & Visa. He has been a part of the management team leading MobiKwik to IPO. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

During his leisure hours, Dheeraj loves to travel and play squash. He is also a beginner at golf and enjoys leading an active lifestyle.

Dheeraj Gupta, Founder, Jumbo King

After a three-year course in Hotel Management and an MBA in Finance from Symbiosis, Dheeraj Gupta set out to try his hand at business.

He set out to do something most unique and innovative - brand the vada pav. At Jumboking, the retail QSR chain he founded in Aug 2001, he standardized the vada pav, made it a scalable model, and took it to markets outside of Mumbai, giving it a national presence.

Recognized as one of the youngest thought-leaders in the franchising industry, Dheeraj has won several awards in this field such as the  Award for New Concept Franchising and Award as Innovative Franchisee model in 2007. A member of the jury of the ET retail awards in 2010, he also chairs the Certification Committee for Franchising Association of India. In March 2014, he authored a knowledge paper on Franchising, which was applauded and well received by the industry.
 
Dheeraj's approach has been pioneering, with an unrelenting focus on innovation and operational excellence.

Thanks to his methodical and meticulous approach, whether product or service, everything is standardized, operations are simplified, and all of this is put in manuals for easy and smooth execution. He firmly believes in the power of innovation. This trait is thus encouraged in his team and by his extended family of franchisees too.

It's not just about grey matter for this pioneer. Dheeraj recently completed the 42 km run at the Standard CharteredMarathon and running is a daily morning habit. Sprinting past different neighbourhoods, he observes the flow of people at work, no matter which part of the globe he's trotting. An avid reader of business biographies, the ace businessman is also interested in books that focus on personal growth, mastery and innovation.
