Vivek Pandit, Partner, McKinsey & Company

Vivek is a Partner in McKinsey’s Mumbai Office where he leads the Corporate Finance and Principal Investment practices in India. Vivek advises leading Private Equity, High-Tech, Media and Telecom firms on M&A, strategy, regulatory, operations and corporate finance topics.

Vivek is a member of the CII National Committee for Private Equity and Venture Capital and actively advises several non-profit boards. He is currently a Fellow with The Aspen Institute, a leadership council member at the Center for Advanced Studies of India at the University of Pennsylvania, serves as a Board of Governor of The Doon School, Teach for India and St. Jude’s Cancer Care Centers.

He received a dual Master’s in Management and Electrical Engineering from Stanford University as a Valentine Fellow and a BS (Magna cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California.

Vivek Paul’s current portfolio is Director Digital and New Business, Sony Music Entertainment India with a special focus on Incubations, New Business Areas, Joint Ventures and Product Development.

Sony Music India is one of the Major Labels with repertoire spanning across Film Soundtrack-Bollywood, Indie-Pop, Regional Languages, Classical and International Music. Besides, the Recording Business, Sony Music India administers: Sony ATV Publishing and IODA’s interests and has its foot print across Indie-Artist Segment (Day 1), Live Music and Talent Management. Sony Music India is a 100% owned subsidiary of Sony Corporation America.

Before Sony Music, Vivek was Founder/Owner : Paul Consulting, a boutique Advisory and Consulting firm, engaged in bringing together : VC Funding and Digital Businesses across various verticals (Media & Entertainment, Movies, Education, Talent, Live Music & Technology) and created a 8MN$ pool across 5 Business Plans.

Prior, was Soundbuzz India (a digital music distribution business model across SEA, Australia and India), since its inception in the Indian business and formed part of the management team, which was then acquired by Motorola in 2009. Soundbuzz was an early adopter of Digital Music Distribution business model and pioneered the effort across the region.

1996-2000 was managing Promotions and Marketing efforts of Channel V (24x7 Music Channel) including multi-artist/multi-city tours :  Channel V Live, Channel V Music Awards, Dance Music, VJ campaigns, Music Merchandising, Branding and On Ground Activation. Conceived and executed the biggest Viewers Choice Campaign in India under The Music Awards Category – 3 years in succession. Involved with Channel V’s acquisition by Star TV India - the launch of Star Gold (24 Hour Retro Film Channel) and web business.

Started career in FMCG, with the biggest Pepsico Franchise in India. 5 Years in the business and was engaged in the Cola Wars, Pepsi Rebranding, Consolidation of Cola Segment, Competing Coke’s India Entry and roll-out of home delivery,  PET, Cans, 500ml and 1 Lt bottles. Besides setting-up the MIS system for the Bottling Plants. In addition, executed over 500 College Music Fests and worked as Marketing & Production Crew at Yanni Live at Taj, One Day International – India/Aus and WWE.

In the last 2 decade Vivek Paul has engaged multiple diverse industries with Music/ Entertainment business and infused innovations for the entire eco-system and its value chain.


Vivek S Nirmal, CEO, Prabhat Dairy Pvt. Ltd.

Vivek Nirmal is the youngest CEO & MD of Prabhat and serves on its Board of Directors.

Before being named CEO in 2006, Vivek was Prabhat’s Director Sales and was responsible for all of the company’s sales and operations across India, including end-to-end management of Prabhat’s supply chain, sales activities, service and marketing support in all markets. He also headed Prabhat’s (NPD) New Product Development division and played a key role in the continued development of Prabhat positioning it as the “Partners in Progress” for all major MNC’s and SMU’s through strategic approach and supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace. Vivek Sehgal, Head M&A Sales, Intralinks India

With over 16 Years of experience in Technology Industry Vivek Sehgal holds expertise in Cloud Computing, Mobility & Collaboration Solutions driving Business growth for Enterprises across all segment. His career has spanned association with organizations like Microsoft, VMware, CA Technologies, Citrix & now Intralinks ranging across roles in multiple Lines of Business including Sales, Technology Consulting & Business Development for Cutting Edge Technologies. In his current role, he Heads the Sales for M&A Business segment at Intralinks India.

Vivek Sett, Partner, New Silk Route Advisors

Vivek joined New Silk Route Advisors in February 2007 and focuses on private equity opportunities in the Indian sub-continent out of the Mumbai office.

Prior to joining NSR, Vivek was Chief Financial Officer of Tata Realty and Infrastructure where he was mandated to lead the Tata Group funding of a US$ 5 billion initiative to exploit the growth in the Indian Realty and Infrastructure Sectors,. He joined Tata in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer of Tata Teleservices Ltd. Vivek supervised the finance function at Tata Teleservices Ltd., which implemented a US$4.5 billion wireless telecommunication project across the country. As a CFO, Vivek structured the funding of complex, capital-intensive projects and restructured distressed assets with different groups of senior lenders and creditors.

Prior to joining Tata, Vivek was a Director on the Board of Hughes Telecom India Ltd. in 1997 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the company in 2001 and Chief Executive Officer in 2002 prior to the takeover of the company by the Tata group.

Vivek started his professional career in 1984 with Ispat Industries Ltd., as a Senior Officer and was nominated to the Board of the company in 1994. He played a proactive role in the development of Ispat Group, which is today an industrial conglomerate and ranks among the top business houses in the country.

Vivek has been nominated as member of various committees in leading trade and industrial associations such as Bombay Chamber, FICCI and CII. He is well known amongst the Indian Financial Institutions, Indian and Foreign banks and International Multilateral Institutions.

Vivek graduated with a degree in Commerce from Calcutta University and completed his post graduation as a Chartered Accountant.

Vivek Soni, Partner, Private Equity Group, KPMG in India

Vivek is a Partner in the Private Equity Group and works with the Deal Advisory Team. He belongs to a rare group of professionals that have experience in investing, consulting, and hands on operational track record of running and scaling up of a services business in India. He has over a decade of experience in leading Business Operations of a PE portfolio company, Real Estate Private Equity and Structured Finance products backed by Real Estate and Infrastructure Assets. Prior to that, Vivek worked with Andersen and EY for over 8 years in Transaction Advisory Services TeamsVivek leads the PE portfolio company coverage program for KPMG and advises select clients on post deal solutions including strategy, fund raise etc. Prior to joining KPMG, Vivek was Co-CEO & CFO of a PE portfolio company for over 6 years and under his stewardship, the company’s business grew significantly and successfully closed more than multiple rounds of equity and debt raise. His earlier experience includes:
  - Real Estate Private Equity with Lehman Brothers in Mumbai. Vivek was a senior Investment Professional in the team and identified and evaluated several investment opportunities in commercial and residential real estate space. Post Lehman’s bankruptcy in Sept 2008, he focused on asset management of the Funds $300mln strong India RE portfolio
  - Real Estate Structured Finance with Lehman Brothers in London, where in Vivek was involved in the structuring and syndication of CMBS bond issues and underwriting of acquisition finance to PE investors
  - Structured Finance for Infrastructure Assets at Bank of America in London. Vivek focused on underwriting, structuring and evaluating Whole Business Securitization transactions backed by Infrastructure assets like Airports, Toll Roads, Ports, Wind Farms and a Power Generation and Distribution business
  - Transaction Advisory Services with Andersen / EY:  Vivek focused on the Oil & Gas and Telecom sectors and worked on several marquee transactions in the capacity of a due diligence specialist


Vivek Srivastav, Senior Vice President - Research and Innovation, Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt Ltd (ReBIT)

Mr. Srivastav leads the Research and Innovation vertical at ReBIT. In this Industry facing role he is responsible for delivering ReBIT's threat intelligence strategy to strengthen cybersecurity posture for the financial sector, introducing new technologies for furthering the mandate of RBI of creating safe economic environment of growth and financial inclusion and working on policy research.

Mr. Srivastav started his career at Citibank’s software subsidiary COSL in 1997 and supported their central, eastern and European branch banking solutions and interfacing systems.Later he worked at a high-tech startup company in Maryland,USA leading development of their network management software for layer-1 optical network transport solution. Subsequently he joined Cisco and worked on video control systems focusing on cloud migration and application and infrastructure security. An avid technologist he has 8 patents in the area of video systems and cloud security. He has also received excellence award for his contributions in ATIS-IPTV Interoperability standards development forum. Immediately before joining ReBIT, he lead the KYC and AML solution initiatives at Equifax for major banks in US.

Mr. Srivastav graduated from St. Stephens’ College, Delhi University in 1995 and later completed his M.Sc Biotechnology from I.I.T Bombay in 1997. He holds an MBA degree with specialization in Finance from J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia, USA.

He is also a community worker and has designed and taught science and robotics to kids for several years, worked with Bhutanese refugees in Atlanta region and currently supports several social service initiatives in Prayag. He has authored a book called “Learning Science using Robotics” for middle and high school students based on his teaching experience with the kids.


Vivek Srivastava, Co-founder & CEO, HealthCare atHOME India

Mr. Vivek Srivastava is the Co-founder & CEO of HCAH, India’s largest disease management company outside of the hospital. HCAH has investment from the Burman family (promoters of Dabur), founders of the HAH, UK, and Quadria Capital.

He is an IIT Delhi & ISB Alumnus. HCAH is the third healthcare business he has started. He has worked in Fortune 500 companies such as Indian Oil and Capital One before his MBA from ISB. Post his MBA, he started with Ambit Corporate Finance as an investment banker. During his stint with GTI Capital(a private equity fund), he started Nova’s IVF business, besides leading fundraising and M&A for Nova and Air Works (investee companies of GTI). After a brief stint of doing investment into Africa, he joined the Burman family to start the family office for Gaurav Burman. He did 6 investments for the family and represented the family on many Boards. Vivek aims to raise the quality of care and improve health outcomes for patients. He has led HCAH to become the first company in the country to be QAI accredited under their homecare standards.

His sensitivity towards Customer Delight makes HCAH a Customer-centric healthcare services delivery provider backed up by NPS ( Net Promoter Score) which has been >65% under his administration throughout.

He has also led HCAH to become Best Places to Work certified company, a testament to the people practices in the company.

In July 2018 Vivek won the prestigious, Entrepreneur of the year Award for healthcare services at the 8th Annual Entrepreneur India award. He is a fitness freak and is an avid reader too.


Vivek Subramanian, Partner, Avigo Capital Partners

Vivek was part of the founding team at Avigo and has been actively involved in all aspects of Investment Management for the last three years. Avigo is now managing its second fund. The Avigo SME Fund II, focused on investing in Industrial companies in India in the SME space. Vivek has almost 10 years of Private Equity and Business Consulting experience. During his tenure as a business consultant with Accenture, he has worked with a variety of mid-sized Indian and International firms and consistently assisted them in implementing a 5-15% cost reduction by business process re-engineering in the areas of procurement, distribution, supply chain management, and operations and worked in diverse sectors such as Cement & Construction, Engineering, Consumer products, Metals, Pharmaceuticals, and Logistics. Vivek is a Mechanical Engineer from Mumbai University and an MBA from Insead (France).
