Vikram Chachra, Founding Partner, Eight Innovate

Vikram is the founder of Eight Innovate, an India focused early stage venture fund. He is a mobile payments pioneer and a former silicon valley entrepreneur, who has been on both sides of the table as an entrepreneur and investor. Vikram has been invested in early stage ventures in India since 2007 and his portfolio includes leaders like Carwale.com, EzeTap, PayTM amongst others. He has MBAs from NYU (Stern) & XLRI.


Vikram Chopra, Co-founder, FabFurnish.com

An alumnus of IIT Bombay, Vikram Chopra is the Co-Founder and CEO of FabFurnish.com – India’s largest online retailer of furniture and home décor. Vikram holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), and has previously worked with McKinsey & Company and Sequoia Capital.

Given his varied work experience and strong business acumen, Vikram has played a dynamic role in taking the brand to a whole new level. Under his leadership, FabFurnish.com has quickly gone on to become the most visited online home store in India.

In 2012, FabFurnish.com was declared the eRetailer of the year in the home category by the Indian Home Congress & Awards. FabFurnish.com also emerged as a winner of Red Herring Top 100 Global 2014.

Vikram has been an active venture investor in India over the last 11 years and has successfully invested in and had exits from his early-stage and growth-stage investments in the wireless, retail, financial services and manufacturing sectors.  Vikram focuses on sectors such as Logistics, Consumer & Engineering Services, and Education.

He sits on the boards of Centum Learning (Bharti Group’s Education Company), Fourcee Infrastructure (Liquid Logistics Company), Genesis Colors (a high-end apparel company) and Geodesic Techniques (a specialty construction company).

Prior to joining Mayfield, Vikram was a founding member of JM Financial Investment Managers Limited, a broad-based, multi-sector private equity fund. While there, Vikram helped raise the fund and led some of the key investments and served on several boards including Satya Paul (a high-end retail company), the Sona Group (an auto components company) and International Tractors Ltd. (a tractor & farm equipment company).

Prior to joining JM Financial Investment Managers Limited, Vikram worked for Cisco's investment arm, where he led the investment in Bharti Telesoft. Prior to that, he was involved in one of the earliest venture capital funds in India, Infinity Venture Fund, where his notable investments include Indiagames (a wireless media company) and Brainvisa (an e-learning company), and he was also involved with investments such as Avendus and Indiabulls (both financial service companies). Vikram's prior experience includes working at Chase and Barclays Capital as part of their investment banking practices in Mumbai for 4 years.

Vikram received his Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Master's in Management Studies from the University of Bombay.

Mr.Vikram Gupta is the Founder & Managing Partner of IvyCap Ventures Advisors Private Limited. He has about 20 years of experience in Venture Capital, Business Consulting, M&A, Strategy and Technology in Healthcare and Life Sciences, Education, Consumer and other industries. He has also held leadership positions across various well-known companies in India and Abroad. Mr.Vikram Gupta set up India’s First Healthcare and Life Sciences Venture Capital Fund and invested across the sector. Mr.Gupta also managed Clinical Genomics practice for IBM’s Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical in the US.  He has also been an entrepreneur himself in the areas of technology and healthcare.

IvyCap Ventures is a Venture Capital Fund that manages over USD 150 mn across two funds and invests in startup’s in Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Education and other areas. The Fund has already made substantial investments in the Indian Startup ecosystem including in Leixir, RML, Aujas, Vinculum, Sokrati, Taskbob, FT Cash, Fieldez, Clovia, Eshakti, Bluestone, Purplle & GrabonRent.

Mr.Vikram Gupta  has completed his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and has an MBA degrees in Strategy and Finance from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

Vikram Hosangady, Executive Director, KPMG India

Vikram specialises in due diligences in healthcare and pharma, industrial manufacturing, construction, real estate and IT sectors. He specialises in identifying potential deal breakers, evaluating the impact of accounting, tax and business issues on valuation models, assisting in negotiating due diligence issues and providing inputs into transaction documents.

Vikram's experience spans a cross-section of our clients, both multinational and leading Indian business houses, on both the buy and sell side on Indian and cross border (inbound as well as outbound) transactions. He has been involved in several data rooms, full access due diligences, carve outs, model reviews and supporting negotiations for various transactions in these sectors for large private equity funds and strategic players. Vikram also has considerable sell side experience and has led vendor due diligence and data room management assignments.

Vikram's private equity clients include Temasek, JP Morgan, Carlyle Group, TPG, Actis, Olympus Capital, Goldman Sachs and ICICI Venture. His corporate clients include: The Apollo group, The Sanmar group, i-Flex, TCS, Covansys, Subhiksha, SameGreaves, Star TV, Omnicom, and Carborandum Universal. His recent healthcare and pharmaceutical experiences are:- assisted Apax partners in its investment in the Apollo hospitals; assisted Blackstone in its investment in Emcure pharmaceuticals; assisted Ranbaxy in its acquisition of Terapia; assisted Shasun Chemicals in its acquisition of 2 chemical plants of the Rhodia group of companies in UK.


Vikram Jain, Associate Director, FSG | @FSGtweets

Vikam Jain with over 15 years of experience in strategy, operations, and technology consulting is Associate Director at FSG. During his time at FSG, Vikram has led the low-income housing (LIH) program in India. He is responsible for defining the LIH program agenda and managing relationships in the LIH ecosystem, including developers, housing finance companies, and government. As co-lead of the livelihoods program, Vikram has also worked on identifying opportunities to skill school dropouts and place them in jobs.

Prior to joining FSG, Vikram worked with Monitor Inclusive Markets (MIM), as lead of the low-income housing practice, where he led numerous engagements advising the government (e.g. Affordable Housing Task Force, Odisha Government) on conducive policy to catalyze the LIH sector.Prior to MIM, Vikram worked for McKinsey & Company, London as an engagement manager advising top-tier investment banks and retail banks on acquisitions. Vikram is a Bachelor in Engineering in Computer Science from Pune University and has done MBA from London Business School.
