T.V. Mohandas Pai, Co-Founder & Chairperson, Aarin Capital
In a career spanning over 30 years, Mohandas Pai has served in the areas of finance, accounting, information technology, human resources, education, social impact innovation, policy formulation, heritage preservation, philanthropy, and the venture and startup ecosystem.
Mohan is currently the Chairman of Aarin Capital, Chairman of Manipal Global Education, an Advisor to the Board of Manipal Education and Medical Group, a Member of the Boards of Havells India, a Member of the Board of Ascendas Property Fund Trustee, the Trustee-Manager of Ascendas India Trust, Member of the Boards of Manipal University and the Institute of Public Enterprises, Chairman of the FICCI Skills Committee, President of the All India Management Association, Chairman of the Regulatory and Financial Technology Committee of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”), Founder-Trustee of the Akshaya Patra Foundation, an Investment Committee Member of the SIDBI India Aspiration Fund and the India Fund of Funds, and a Member of the Board of the National Stock Exchange of India.
He was awarded the Padma Shri award by the President of India in 2015 and the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award in 2004. Mohan has helped launch over 14 different investment vehicles across private equity and venture capital which have cumulatively invested in over 250 companies with a capital base of $400+ Million. Mohan is also an Investment Committee Member of the SIDBI India Aspiration Fund and the India Fund of Funds which has a corpus of $1.8 Billion. His family office has invested in over 30 different investment vehicles to grow the startup ecosystem in the country. He is consistently named as one of India’s top angel investors.
Mohan served as a Member of the Board and CFO at Infosys, one of India’s largest software services companies. He was voted ’CFO of the Year’ multiple times - ‘CFO of the Year’ in 2001 by IMA India, the ‘Best CFO in India’ award from Finance Asia in 2002, and ‘Best Chief Financial Officer in India’ in the Best Managed Companies poll conducted by Asia Money in 2004. At Infosys, he also spearheaded the first listing of an India-registered company on NASDAQ and the first sponsored secondary offering of American Depositary Shares by an Indian company, besides leading multiple business units over 17 years.In 2000, he co-founded the Akshaya Patra Foundation, Bangalore - a mid-day meal program for school children. Today, this program feeds over 1.6 million children each day in 13,500+ government schools across twelve Indian states. Mohan also supports over a dozen other non-profit institutions and organizations in multiple impact areas in India.
Mohan holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce as a University Rank Holder from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore, a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from Bangalore University, and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as an All-India Rank Holder. He is based in Bangalore, India.
Tamal Bandhopadhyay, Adviser Strategy, Bandhan Bank
Tamal Bandyopadhay is a journalist and author. His weekly column `Banker's Trust' in Mint, India's second largest business daily, is widely read for its analysis and opinion on banking policies.
His three books on finance, namely `A Bank for The Buck', `Sahara: The Untold Story' and `Bandhan: The Making of a Bank' have been non-fiction best sellers.
His latest book, a Penguin publication, `From Lehman to Deomenitisation: A Decade of Disruptions, Reforms and False Promises' will be released in the first week of December.
Incidentally, he had to fight a Rs200 crore defamation suit that the Sahara group had slapped against him to stop the publication of the book on shadow banking in India.
He is also one of the contributors to the `Oxford Handbook on Indian Economy'. Linkedin, the global professional network, has nominated him as one of the top ten finance voices in the world for two successive years -- 2015 and 2016.
Thinkers magazine has listed him one of the top 50 influential minds that have made indeliable contributions in the field of economics and governance in India in 2017.

Hasura eliminates the data access bottleneck for developers and teams building modern applications by providing an instant API over GraphQL and reducing time to market by an order of magnitude. Before Hasura, Tanmai ran a consulting firm helping some of the largest companies in the world transition to cloud-native architectures. Tanmai comes from a computer science background from IIT Madras and is passionate about making it easy to build complex things.
Tanuj Mendiratta, Co-founder & CEO, Appiterate
Tanuj started his entrepreneurial journey by co-founding DSYN in 2010 while still studying at IIM Calcutta. Over the course of the next few years, DSYN went on to execute design-led Mobile App Development for clients such as Zomato, Sears, Groupon and delivered more than 100 projects for top brands.
In 2013, Tanuj led DSYN's pivot into a technology product company - Appiterate, which built the world'd first Visual A/B Testing platform for native mobile apps. Appiterate has raised venture funding from SAIF partners and has reputed valley angels such as Greg Badros, Prashant Malik and Amit Rathore as angels investors and advisors.
Tanuj Shori, Co-founder & CEO, Square Yards
Tanuj Shori is the Founder and CEO of Square Yards, India’s largest real estate and fintech aggregator. Established in 2013, the company has witnessed exponential growth in a very short span of time. Under Tanuj’s astute leadership, Square Yards has achieved a significant scale in facilitating real estate investments worth more than USD $2 Billion through its direct presence of more than 2000 employees in 20+ Indian cities and 10+ International locations.
Prior to starting Square Yards, he has worked in the capital markets division of top notch firms such as Lehmann brothers, Nomura and Standard Chartered Bank across different geographies such as the United States and Asia Pacific. Tanushree Bagrodia, CFO & VP- IT, NRB Bearings
A computer engineer and an INSEAD MBA graduate, Tanushree Bagrodia is a global finance professional with experience of diverse cultures, businesses and leading organizations in different roles. She has worked as an investment banker in London with diverse banks such as HVB (now Unicredit), Merrill Lynch and KBC Financial Products, executing some of the world’s ‘first of their kind’ transactions across multiple countries and sectors before returning to India in 2010 to join IDFC. Not only has she been an advisor in M&As but also lived through an acquisition and post-merger integration. She has experienced M&As from valuation, value creation and sustainability point of view.
Since 2013, she has been the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President - I.T of NRB Bearings Limited, a Rs. 700+ Crores company. Despite being amongst the youngest CFOs, she has been ranked amongst the top 100 CFOs in the country for 2 consecutive years. She held the position of Co - Chair of the Indian Merchant Chamber’s Corporate Governance Committee in 2011, and is an invitee member of CII’s National Committee of CFO’s. She has been invited by Oracle, Deutsche Bank, M&M and various educational institutes such as Thakur College of Management, Thadomal Shahni Engineering College, Jai Hind College, VESIT, ICAI to speak on varied topics from risk management & digital transformation to women empowerment and leadership.
Tanvi Malik, Co-founder, FabAlley
Tanvi is an Economics graduate from Delhi’s Lady Shriram College, followed up with an MBA in Brand Management from MICA Ahmedabad. Her interest in branding and marketing led her to Titan, where she was a Brand & Product Manager for high-end watches before quitting to start her dream project, an inclusive, accessible and fashion-forward brand for Indian women – FabAlley, and later Indya. She spearheads design, marketing, product and communication for the company.
Tapan K. Meshram, Sr Investment Officer, State General Reserve Fund, Ministry of Finance, Oman
Tapan has been involved in private equity and venture capital since the late 90’s. Currently at State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), the sovereign wealth fund of Sultanate of Oman, he is managing direct investments in UK, Central and Eastern Europe. He is a Director on the board of companies in UK, Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, etc. He also advises and sits on the Investment committee of SGRF’s private equity fund JV’s in several geographies including Vietnam. Prior to SGRF, Tapan spent a considerable time as Vice President for investments in metals and chemicals sector at Gulf Investment Corporation, Kuwait, one of the oldest investment holding companies established in 1983 and held equally by the six GCC countries.
Tapan gained operational experience while working for GE, Unilever and previously also managed the Funds and PE investments portfolio for Emirates Bank International, Dubai. He first entered the world of investments by accident when as an entrepreneur along with his IITian buddies he sold his Indian information security company to a venture capitalist in the US. Since then he has managed over USD 1 billion in equity investments.
Tapan holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT- Delhi and an MBA from FMS- Delhi University.
