Sanjay Jha, Founder - Hamara Congress, Congress Spokesperson

Sanjay Jha is the Executive Director of the world-famous Dale Carnegie Training operations in India, which has a global experience of having worked with over 400 of the Top Fortune 500 companies. In India, Dale Carnegie has worked with over 1200 corporate firms, multinational companies, public sector, government and NGOs and trained more than 160,000 Dale Carnegie graduates in the last nine years.

 

He has founded one of the world’s leading internet portals called CricketNext.Com which is now part of the Network 18 media Group.

 

Prior to starting Dale Carnegie , Sanjay was instrumental in setting up the private sector mutual fund industry in India , having worked as a Senior Vice President with ITC Threadneedle Asset Management ( part of BAT plc, UK) and as a Vice President , Alliance Capital ( New York, USA). His career in banking included stints with both Bank of America and ANZ Grindlays Bank where he worked in NRI marketing and operation services, product-technology training, retail banking and branch management. He started his career in sales with Bharat Petroleum.

 

Sanjay also co-launched a political blog called HamaraCongress.com during elections 2009 and plans to escalate it into a full-fledged portal with multiple new features in the future. He is a columnist and a blogger. Jha is also been the National Spokesperson  of the Indian National Congress party.

 

Jha completed his MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur and his Master’s in Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, University of Pune. He graduated with distinction in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune.

 

Sanjay has also written a cricket anthology titled 11 - Triumphs, Trials and Turbulence in Indian cricket, two cricket quiz books and published his first collection of poems.  Jha has recently authored a book called The Superstar Syndrome (The Making Of A Champion), co-authored with Dr. Myra White, who is a Professor at the Harvard Medical School. This book is launched in August 2013.

Sanjay Kamlani, Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Pangea3 LLC

Sanjay is a co-founder and Co-CEO of Pangea3, a U.S.-based legal and patent services firm with more than 150 lawyers and engineers in Mumbai providing corporate, litigation and intellectual property related legal services to law firms and in-house legal departments in the U.S. and U.K. and Japan.

Prior to forming Pangea3, Sanjay was a member of the founding management team and the CFO & General Counsel of OfficeTiger—a professional support services outsourcing company recently acquired by R.R. Donnelley for more than $250 million and with a current employee base of more than 10,000. Sanjay’s earlier career experiences include positions with Amarchand & Mangaldas in Mumbai, India and PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City.

Sanjay Kamlani earned his undergraduate degree form Duke University; law degree (JD) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and his LLM from the New York University Law School. Sanjay is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars.

A banker turned entrepreneur, Sanjay entered the Indian fashion Industry in the mid 90s and gets substantial credit for leading to the corporatization of the industry. Modeled on the lines of global fashion conglomerates, the company has posted an impressive growth for the last few years and established its footprints across 16 major Indian cities through over a 100 stand alone stores. Kapoor stands as an epitome of a distinctive and a dynamic business success story – a stature that is only growing by years as he transforms Genesis Colors into a fashion colossus through his impeccable business acumen.

Spending his growing up years in Singapore, Sanjay studied at Raffles Institution and then did his MBA from the University of Rochester, New York. Post that he worked at Citibank in the Singapore and India offices before starting his own business.

Sanjay now lives in New Delhi and is a member of several trade bodies and organizations such as the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) and is a recipient of several awards for his innovative initiatives in fashion retailing. He is the chairman of the CII Luxury Goods forum and a regular speaker at industry forums across the globe. He unwinds with jogging, squash, reading and music. He is also an avid art collector.

Sanjay Kaul, MD & CEO, National Collateral Management Services Limited

Mr. Sanjay Kaul is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He is a former Indian Administrative Service officer. Before joining NCML, he was the Director & CEO of the NCDEX Institute of Commodity Markets and Research, New Delhi and has worked as the Joint Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India. He has around 28 years of experience at the district, state and country levels in development administration, of which ten years has been in commodity markets. Mr. Kaul has also worked extensively with policy makers, project leaders, international agencies and government ministries and also led multi-sectoral development projects and teams. He is a Graduate as well as Post Graduate in Economics from the University of Delhi.

Sanjay Kaushik, Managing Director, Netrika

The Managing Director of Netrika Consulting India Pvt Ltd, Sanjay Kaushik is a Certified Fraud Examiner with over 26 years of experience across the fields of Fraud Risk Management, Due Diligence, Risk Assessment, Investigations, and Corporate Security Consulting. As a veteran domain expert, he has been involved in devising Anti-counterfeit Strategies for leading global businesses and was the Chief Operating Officer at one of the largest global risk consulting firms before co-founding Netrika.
Over the course of his career, Sanjay has assisted several top companies across multiple industries about acquisitions at a global level. This includes advising private equity groups on acquisitions and investments in emerging markets, and leading reviews and due diligence for target companies and their executive teams. He has also created a complete framework around the due diligence process and policies and has implemented technology-driven solutions to optimize the program. Armed with his expertise in forensic investigation, Sanjay has also advised a diverse set of global clients on fraud risk management and governance issues.
Sanjay has been trained and certified at the Transport Asset Protection Association (TAPA) and has helped a number of leading corporates establish their supply chains across international borders. He is a key member of several industry bodies and institutions such as the Council of International Investigators (CII), World Association of Detectives, APDI (Association of Private Detectives of India), FICCI CASCADE, and ASIS International. He is also the General Secretary of the Association of Certified Professional Investigators (ACPI) and a founder member of the Indian Association of Professional Background Screeners (IAPBS), in addition to being an Associate Member of ACFE (Associate Certified Fraud Examiner). Additionally, he has held the position of the Chairman of the Law Enforcement Council of ASIS India and is an ex-Chairman for Loss Prevention Council of ASIS India, Delhi Chapter #207.
For his demonstrated expertise in the field, Sanjay has been named the ‘Fraud Investigator of the Year 2017’ by Wealth & Finance International, UK. He has also received the prestigious ‘Investigation Professional of the Year’ Award at the 7th Security Leadership Summit in 2012, conferred by the ex-President of India, Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil.

Sanjay Mishra, Professor, The University of Kansas

Sanjay Mishra is Professor in Marketing at the University of Kansas, School of Business. His undergraduate degree is from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, MS in Engineering from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, and an MBA and a Ph. D in Marketing from Washington State University, Pullman.

His research interests are in Consumer Preference and Choice Modeling, Brand Extension and Alliances, Consumer Information Processing, Entrepreneurship and Fast Growth, Innovation, New Product Development Processes, and Psychometrics. He has worked on product development practices in India, South Korea and Finland. In the new product and the entrepreneurship area, he is interested in how investors (venture capitalists) make investment decisions and whether firms/entrepreneurs learn as much from failures as from successes. His work has been published in several journals such as the Journal of Marketing Research, Psychometrika, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Academy of Management Journal, Marketing Letters, Journal of Product Innovation and Management. Prof. Mishra has presented papers at conferences in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and North America and made invited presentations at leading universities in Mexico, South Korea and India and at National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) and National Business Incubators Association (NBIA) annual conferences in the USA. He has received research and curriculum development grants from the Marketing Science Institute, Hewlett Packard Corp, and the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. Dr. Mishra was a member of the team that developed and organized the “Entrepreneurial Effect”, a weeklong seminar for economic development personnel in the US. For several years, he served on the Haskell Indian Nations University's National Advisory Board in Business. He was a member of the 1996 University of Kansas Fulbright Group visit program to Mexico.

Dr. Mishra teaches courses in Innovation and New Product Management, Marketing Strategy, and Entrepreneurship.
