Sachin Bid, Fund Manager, Venture Capital, Nippon Life India AIF Management Limited

Sachin Bid is currently Fund Manager, Venture Capital at Nippon India Alternative Investments, a 100% subsidiary of Nippon Life India Asset Management (NAM India). Nippon Life Japan owns ~75% of NAM India. He is responsible for fund raising, investing and managing portfolio of India centric early stage technology venture funds and directs. He serves on the advisory boards (LPAC) of several India focused venture capital funds. Prior to Nippon India, he co-founded, built and scaled an travel start-up focused on cruising, MyDreamHoliday, which was acquired by a market leader (Ark Travels) in the industry. Prior to that, he was an investor with Ncubate Capital, a mid-size family office where he participated in incubating and supporting scale-up of consumer companies which grew from concept to double digit monthly revenues ($ in mn) and which were subsequently backed by marquee private equity funds in India. Prior to Ncubate Capital, he was an investor at Nine Rivers Capital investing from its Fund-I in early growth stage companies, primarily in manufacturing and engineering companies. He is an MBA candidate at The Wharton School. He is a CAIA member, CFA (ICFAI) and MBA – Finance, IBS Mumbai.

Sachin Chopra, MD, Everstone Capital Advisors

Sachin Chopra is a Managing Director in the private equity team of Everstone Capital Advisors. Prior to joining Everstone in 2011, Sachin had over 10 years of investing experience in US and India. Sachin previously worked with Warburg Pincus in India and General-Atlantic in the US. He holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Gujarat University, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Sachin is currently heading logistics SaaS platform, Shipdroid.com, for marketplace sellers and also leading the entire distribution and logistics network for Infibeam.com. Prior to cofounding Infibeam.com, Sachin was one of the early hires of Amazon.com India where he led major subsystems of Amazon's Payment Webservices and Checkout by Amazon. Over the years Sachin has led many functions from engineering, product, general management and operations primarily in systems, payments and ecommerce domain.

Sachin Jain, Global CIO and CISO, Evalueserve

Sachin Jain is the Global CIO and CISO of Evalueserve. He has been with Evalueserve since its inception in December 2000. He carries more than 24 years of experience in IT and ITES industry. He is a science graduate with an MBA and an ISB Alumni.

He has championed conceptualization and roll out of cloud, mobility, automation, analytics as part of digital strategy which transformed both Information Technology and business operations including development of new business models.

At Evalueserve, he is providing executive leadership as head of Global IT and Information Security. He is responsible for all aspects of strategic IT planning, and Information security worldwide as an integral component of business plan.

Sachin joined IDFC in 2006, and has more than 21 years of international experience with leading global financial institutions.

Prior to joining IDFC, Sachin worked at Macquarie’s Singapore office, and earlier with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and ICICI. During his professional career, he has led several advisory, acquisition, and lending mandates in the Infrastructure sector, across the Asian region.

He is currently on the boards of Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited, Karaikal Port Private Limited, ULA Logistics Ltd. and several road BOT companies. He is also on the Investment Committee of the US$ 927mn India Infrastructure Fund and the follow-on India Infrastructure Fund 2.

He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (India), and a degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (India).
