An Ex-Banker. I am a Co-founder & Director at Innovations Venture Studio & LMD2 Capadvisors- a group of angels.

My recent addition is "Innovations - A Venture Studio". With a motto focused on ethics, we help deserving startups flourish while we act as a support system!

With a family background in Educational ventures, I work as a trustee for our educational trusts and society, thus contributing my bit to the social welfare.

My key areas of accountabilities are Deal Origination, driving coinvestments with other VC funds, Family Offices & Angel Investors. I also overlook the Portfolio Life-cycle investments & Exits.

I hold the strong belief in designing customer centric organizations for Value Innovation that have the potential to eliminate Value - Cost trade offs.

Passion & diligence are two traits that I believe reflect me as an individual and I firmly believe that these are the keys to success in any endeavour that one sets their mind to.

Manish Kumar, Co-Founder & CEO, SEED Edu Corp (India) Pvt. Ltd

Manish is responsible for developing and scaling the SEED operations in India. The focus is to create a holistic education model for the low cost private schools (“LCPS”) through innovative pedagogy solutions, best practices, and strategic alliance. Prior to SEED, he served as Head-Product and Finance at Indian School Finance Company (ISFC) for over 4 years after joining at an early stage of the company. ISFC is a lending institution to LCPS to expand and improve infrastructure. He was part of the core team responsible for business strategy and growth. He played vital role in fund raising (over $ 8 million) and led the process and IT system design to help organization grow to over 600 schools across two states in 4.5 years. He is a passionate educationist and earlier taught students from LCPS as a volunteer for over 2 years. Manish received his MS degree from Georgia Tech, Atlanta in 2008 and his B.Tech. Degree from IIT Bombay in 2006.

Manish Lalwani, MD and CEO, Omkara ARC

Mr. Lalwani holds a Master’s Degree of Commerce from the Gujarat University and is also a Chartered Accountant. He has over 15 Years of experience in Distressed Assets and Financial Services Business. Mr. Lalwani has been instrumental in setting and scaling up Omkara ARC’s Operations. Prior to being the Managing Director & CEO of Omkara ARC, he was the founder director of the Areion Group - providing various services related to advisory of Stressed Assets, Insolvency Professionals, and Asset Management Company (Fund). He has driven various deals and enjoys good relationships with financial institutions and Investors. Early in his career he has worked across sectors viz. Iron & Steel, Real Estate, Hospitality, Educational, Health, Textile, and Automotive, as part of corporate restructurings and special situations.

Manish Lunia, Co-Founder, Flexiloans.com

Manish Lunia, a career financial services professional with 20+ years of experience co-Founded Flexiloans.com - one of India’s leading embedded ecosystem lenders for MSME Loans. FlexiLoans has raised over USD 200 mn in debt and equity so far and has disbursed over 60,000+ loans in 2000+ cities in India.

He leads the Risk and Credit, Co-lending and Strategic Partnerships & Alliances, Collections and Legal functions at Flexiloans. Before he co-founded FlexiLoans in 2016,  he spearheaded multiple M&A deals at Aditya Birla Group and was a part of CEO's office for Aditya Birla Financial services in their formative years and growth journey for 7+ years. He was the Circle Finance Head for Tata Teleservices Limited in Gujarat leading finance for the fast growing telecom player.

Manish is also a part of the  Executive Committee of the Digital Lenders Association of India (DLAI), spearheading various policies that would help in the growth of the industry.He is a regular speaker at various conferences and events like Tie-Con Mumbai,  ISB Conclaves, DLAI Annual Conference, Fintegrate, etc. He is a Rank holder Chartered Accountant and an MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB, Hyderabad) (Dean’s List).

Manish Makharia, Executive Director, TVS Capital Funds Limited

Manish has over 15 years of Investment Banking and Corporate Advisory experience in India. He has advised corporates from across sectors including consumers, infrastructure, media, financial services, natural resources, metals, education etc. Apart from having wide relationships and deep sector knowledge he also has valuable experience of working across investment banking products including Private Equity advisory, Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets, structuring, financial engineering and valuations. Manish was instrumental in setting up Mid Market investment banking practice at Kotak Mahindra Group and as head of the practice led many transactions. He brings deep expertise in proactive deal sourcing, structuring, valuation and negotiations. One of the critical skill sets which he adds to the team is strategizing exits with a view to maximize value since he has extensive experience on IPOs and strategic sale.

He is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and was an All India rank holder from November 1995 batch. Before TVS Capital Manish has worked with SBI Capital Markets, Ernst & Young- Corporate Finance and with Kotak Investment Banking.

Manish Malik, VP - Gaming, Hungama Digital Media

Manish Malik is Assistant Vice President, at Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. He plays a vital role in creating and executing robust business models in the connected device environment comprising of Mobile, PC, Tablet, DTH & Internet TV's. His expertise lies in Business Development, Marketing, Strategic Alliances, Content Negotiation and Syndication. At Hungama, Manish spearheads Gaming & Applications across multimedia and device environments. Under his leadership, Hungama has emerged as one of the largest application developers in South Asia, and Hungama Game Studio is one of the leading game developers on the Web, Mobile and DTH platforms. He also manages one of India’s largest social- gaming portals thegamebox.com.

Manish has over ten years of experience across industry verticals - FMCG, Consumer Durables, Retail & Digital Entertainment and business functions - Brand / Product Management, Marketing & Business development. Prior to Hungama, He worked with Reliance Retail in the Marketing & Customer Activation team and preceding which he was heading the gaming division at Reliance Webstores. A major part of Manish’s experience has been working with MNC's in a startup environment where he has contributed significantly to the organizations performance and growth.

Manish holds a Master’s degree in Management with specialization in Marketing and Sales and has graduated from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics.

Manish Mehta, Managing Director, Samara Capital

Prior to joining Samara Capital, Manish worked with the Private Equity Fund at Lehman Brothers in New York. Before that, Manish was a Principal in a $10 billion multi-strategy hedge fund at Barclays Global Investors. Manish also briefly worked in Real Estate Private Equity at Grove International Partners (Soros Fund) where he was covering India investments primarily in the hotel sector. Manish began his finance career with Lehman Brothers in 2001 in New York.

Manish earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School where he graduated with Distinction. Manish also has a Master of Science in Transportation & Logistics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and received his Bachelors degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorke where he was the top ranking student in his class. Manish is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Manish Mittal, Director - Research Analytics, AbsolutData Research & Analytics Pvt Ltd

Manish has over 14 years of rich Market Research & Analytics Experience across the Indian and Middle East market. 

During the tenure of his career he has worked with leading research firms such as Nielsen, Synovate (Now Ipsos) and Market Probe with the last one being specialist in customer loyalty assessment.  

He specializes in Customer / Employee Experience (Churn, Satisfaction, Acquisition, and Loyalty), Pricing, Brand Assessment, New Product Development / Line Extension, Volume Forecasting across CPG, Retail, Telecom, Media, Automotive, PSUs sectors. 

In his present role at Absolutdata, he is responsible for mentoring strategic projects, building client relationships, instrumental for new product / solutions development for the organization and also managing a business line. 

Manish is very passionate about Market Research & Analytics and its potential impact, thus, he mentors students at business schools like IBS, MET, Rizvi, Xaviers. 

Manish has a Masters degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai.
