Alistair Stranack, Partner, The Parthenon Group

Alistair Stranack is a Partner of the Parthenon Group and is Head of the firm’s Global Healthcare Practice. Previously, he worked at Bain & Company and was a founding partner of the European-based consulting firm, The Merit Partnership. Mr. Stranack has 20 years of strategic consulting experience and has advised governments, corporations and private equity firms on healthcare policy, strategy and transactions. He has worked on assignments across the world including Europe, the United States, the Middle East, South and East Asia. In addition to healthcare, his previous experience also includes the education, technology, publishing and media industries. Mr. Stranack holds a first class honours degree in Engineering Science from Oxford University and an M.B.A. with distinction from INSEAD.


Alok Agarwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Orient Bell

Alok is the quintessential IIT-IIM alumni as comfortable with Technology as with Marketing. As a Chief Marketing Officer, he has accelerated transformation in the approach to building brands using digital. He was recognized (by IAMAI) as the "Digital Marketer Of The Year". Now with Orientbell he continues using VR & digital to drive dramatic transformation in the Tile industry.

He has succeeded in demonstrating value from digital and aligning stakeholders in not the usual “tech savvy” industries.


Alok Bansal, Co-founder & CFO, PolicyBazaar.com

Alok Bansal is Co-Founder & CFO of PolicyBazaar.com, India’s largest online insurance aggregator. Alok leads the Finance department, including Corporate Finance & Controllership, Treasury, Tax and Strategic Planning & Analysis Functions. He is also responsible for the Strategic Alliances Division. Prior to this, he has served as the Director, Finance with First Europa. He has served in various cross-functional leadership roles with Mahindra & Mahindra, iGate Global Solutions and General Electric (GE). He is a PGDM from IIM Calcutta.


Alok Bardiya, Country Head, Cisco Investments

Alok leads Cisco Investments in India and is on the Board of several companies, ranging from early stage to pre-IPO organizations. Prior to Cisco, he has worked with top global companies – both in the US and in India - in various business leadership roles including sales, marketing, product management and strategy. He started his career with the Tata Administrative Services (TAS) and then worked with Bain and BellSouth/AT&T in the US. He has also been an entrepreneur early in his career.

Alok is a published author including a recent paper in Knowledge@Wharton on emerging market innovation. Alok has a B.Tech (EE) from IIT-Delhi and an MBA with Honors from Wharton Business School.

Alok leads investing practice around SaaS and Social at SAIF Partners. Prior to this, Alok was CEO of Freecharge (acquired by Snapdeal) and COO of RedBus (acquired by Goibibo). Prior to his startup stints, Alok spent 5 years at Google in Bangalore and Mountain View in various product roles. Alok holds an MBA from India School of Business and a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He has 3 patents and was listed in the Fortune India 40 under 40 lists for 2014.

Alok Goyal, Co-founder, Partner and Founding Partner, Stellaris Venture Partners

Alok Goyal is a Partner at Stellaris Venture Partners, an early stage, technology focused venture capital firm based out of Bangalore. Alok focuses on investments in enterprise software, logistics and automotive companies. On behalf of Stellaris, Alok is on the board of Whatfix, Noticeboard and Loadshare, and also is an Independent Director on the board of eClerx, a publicly listed company in India.

Prior to Stellaris, Alok was a Partner at Helion Ventures, where he led enterprise software and services investments. Before his career in venture capital, Alok was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SAP India and had been associated with SAP since the year 2004 in various leadership roles in the United States and in India. Before SAP, Alok also worked with Siebel Systems, The McKenna Group, McKinsey & Company and Cadence Design Systems.

Alok has completed his MBA from INSEAD (France), MS in Computer Sciences from University of Texas, Austin and his B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi.

Alok Gupta, Partner, Headland Capital Partners

Alok joined HSBC Private Equity in 2008, which has been renamed as Headland Capital Partners further to the management buyout in 2010. He is based at Mumbai as a member of the venture investment team.

Alok commenced his career at ANZ Grindlays Bank as part of the Investment Banking team responsible for Indian structured finance and syndications. He also worked with ABN AMRO Securities at the Debt Capital Markets desk.

In 2000, he joined Rabo India Finance (a part of the Rabobank Group) as a member of the life sciences and healthcare team and thereafter as part of the start-up team at YES Bank, commenced and developed the life sciences and technology practice. He has worked with a number of companies in these sectors on debt, equity capital raising and business and financial advisory services.

Alok holds an engineering and economics degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is also a member of the CII National Committee on Drugs & Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology.


Alok Jain, Founder & CEO , Yumist

Alok is the founder & CEO at Yumist. Prior to this he has built multiple tech startups across India, US and Singapore in the fields of e-commerce, consumer internet, mobile gaming and digital strategy consulting. He has also served as CMO at Zomato and DealsAndYou.

A propagator of business automation and scalable processes, Alok strongly believes that the future of business lies in data and intelligent use of it. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his family & friends, read, travel and cook.
