Karthik Sathuragiri, Director, Emerging Businesses - APJ, Akamai Technologies

Karthik Sathuragiri is Director of Emerging Business, Asia Pacific & Japan, at Akamai Technologies. In his current role, Karthik is responsible for revenue and growth strategies in the fast growing mid-market and startup segments for Akamai across Asia Pacific and Japan. Karthik has over 15 years of technology sales, marketing, product management and business development experience.

Karthik joined Akamai in 2007 as a member of the global marketing organization where he held several roles including account development, field marketing and campaign management. As part of the India leadership team, Karthik drives Akamai’s talent branding initiatives and drives Akamai’s participation in Economic Times’ Great Places to Work Study. As part of this initiative, Akamai was ranked as one of the top great places to work in the prestigious study over the last three years.

In 2011, Karthik was appointed Director of Americas Marketing where he was instrumental in hiring and building a 100+ strong organization in Bangalore from the ground up, and running a variety of marketing disciplines. Prior to Akamai, Karthik held various marketing and public relations positions for IBM and SAP in India.

Karthik has a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madras University and is involved with multiple NGOs promoting child education as a means for social change.

Karthik Vaidyanathan, Co-Founder, Momoe | @MomoeApp

Karthik is the CoFounder of Momoe where he drives Product Strategy & Operations. Momoe enables people to pay with their phones when they eat out, shop or commute.

He was previously at Qualcomm Ventures, founded a venture Free Energy which set up roof top solar plants and was a Strategy Consultant at Bain. He is from IIM Ahmedabad & College of Engineering, Guindy.


Karthikeyan Ranganathan, Partner, Baring Private Equity Partners India

Karthik is a Partner, heading investments in – Infrastructure, Alternate Energy and Engineering Services at Baring Private Equity Partners India and has over 10 years of experience in the engineering, manufacturing, energy and supply chain industries. Prior to joining Baring India, Karthik was a management consultant at Andersen / KPMG where he was instrumental in setting up and growing the automotive & manufacturing practice verticals. In this role, he has advised a number of clients on growth strategies, efficiency improvement & performance management. He has also led large client teams in implementation of these strategies and guided clients through changes in their organizations. An avid reader and bridge enthusiast, Karthik is a graduate in Mechanical engineering from IIT Chennai and has an MBA from IIM Bangalore.


Kartik Iyer, Chief Financial Officer, TableSpace Technologies

Kartik is currently CFO of TableSpace Technologies – a recently launched managed office venture which has grown exponentially in the last 12 months.  Along with the co- founders, Kartik is part of the Leadership team responsible for driving Sales and other Strategic and Tactical initiatives for the firm resulting in profitable Revenue generation.  In addition to his CFO role, Kartik brings in Thought leadership and vast implementation experience to set and drive long-term vision for the firm ensuring key milestones are achieved in-time and with key focus on operational excellence.

Kartik has over 17 years of global experience as Finance and Business Operations lead for Accenture across verticals such as Technology, Consulting and Corporate functions.  Working across geographies for Accenture and as an integral part of different leadership teams of the global firm, Kartik has succesfully done roles from leading finance operations, helming cross-functional Technology Finance projects and as a pioneer for global programs such as championing the Inclusion & Diversity agenda for Accenture India Corporate Functions.

Previously, Kartik was a key member of the Accenture India Technology Leadership team as the CFO for overall Accenture India Technology Business
Managed over $3 billion (single largest Accenture cost base), covering 110,000+ people and $4 billion in revenue for Resources Operating Group globally in Accenture Application Services business.
Responsible for the key turn-around of Philippines Technology business – a special project given to be executed in 18 months
Key role in setting up new Technology centres in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and Morocco, in partnership with local leadership – known Finance expert in understanding the Latin American and European business for Accenture  

In his downtime, Kartik likes to travel and explore new countries along with his family, playing football and is an avid cyclist to remain fit.


Kartik Jain, EVP, Head Marketing & Customer Analytics, HDFC Bank | @HDFC_Bank

Kartik Jain is responsible for Advertising, Marketing Communication, Regional Marketing, Digital Marketing, Customer Analytics and Campaign Management for HDFC Bank, India’s second largest private sector Bank. Prior to joining HDFC Bank, Kartik has worked in sales, marketing and strategy roles with organisations in Insurance, Consulting and Consumer Goods.

Kartik was recognised as amongst the top 3 most influential CMOs by Pitch in 2015 and CMO with the Best Digital Presence in 2016. He was Marketer of the Year (Banking) at the IAA (International Advertising Association, India) Leadership Awards 2013. He was awarded Best CMO of the Year (General Insurance) by the CMO Council India in the 1st CMO Awards 2009. He is a British Chevening Scholar and  has a background in engineering from IIT Mumbai and business management from IIM Kolkata.


Kartik Prabhakar, Head of General Enterprise Business, Slack

Kartik Prabhakar is Head of General Enterprise Business for Slack and a technology industry executive with over 12 years of experience in building and scaling businesses. Extensive background in PLG companies & general management, Kartik has spent the last couple of his career scaling SaaS organisations by helping them achieve their scaled revenue targets. Before joining Slack, Kartik held leadership positions at MongoDB & Oracle.


Kartik Srivatsa, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Aspada Investment Advisors | @AspadaInv

Kartik Srivatsa is the Co-Founder Managing Partner of Aspada that manages a group of early stage impact investment funds focused on improving agricultural supply chains and delivering affordable healthcare, education and financial services to the emerging middle class segment in India backed by investors such as Soros Economic Development Fund, Omidyar Network and Google. Prior to Aspada, Kartik was with Lightspeed Venture Partners, a global venture capital firm with over $2 billion under management, where he was a founding member of the India office. Earlier, he was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company. Kartik received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Kartik Varma, Co-founder, Proptiger.com

Kartik Verma is the co-founder of PropTiger.com. It is India’s largest online real estate services business with a presence across 8 of the country’s largest real estate markets and has been funded by Accel and SAIF Partners.

 

Previously, Kartik co-founded iTrust Financial Advisors a hybrid online and offline platform to help middle class Indians with their investment, insurance, loan, tax and financial planning activities, and successfully sold the business to the Karvy Group.

 

Over the past 6 years, Kartik has been a personal finance columnist for the Economic Times, Indian Express, Mint, Outlook Money, Money Today and regularly appears as a real estate and personal finance expert on CNN-IBN, Bloomberg, ET Now, NDTV Profit and CNBC.

 

Kartik has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an LLB from London School of Economics. He has over 10 years of experience on Wall Street, investing money for Ziff Brothers Investments and thereafter for The Childrens Investment Fund, based out of New York and London. Prior to this he was an M&A banker at James D Wolfensohn, Inc. in New York, focusing on real estate, gaming and hotels.

Kashyap and Navneet (Co-founder) started Inkfruit.com in May 2008 with the goal of being India's first co-creation based lifestyle products brand. Kashyap Deorah is an entrepreneur and investor. Over fifteen years, he has split his time between Silicon Valley and India building global technology companies. Besides India and US, he has done business in China, South East Asia and Northern Europe. Kashyap has started and sold three companies, worked with public companies in the US and India, invested in a score of startups, and mentored many more. He started his first company RightHalf.com during his final year at IIT Bombay in 2000. After an acquisition by a Silicon Valley company, Kashyap spent seven years in the US. He returned to India in 2007 to start Chaupaati Bazaar, a phone commerce marketplace, then merged it with India’s leading retailer Future Group. In 2012, he co-founded mobile payments company Chalo and sold it to San Francisco based OpenTable, a leader in the restaurant reservations space.
