Kaushik Anand, Head of India Investments, CapitalG

Kaushik Anand heads India for CapitalG. Prior to CapitalG, Kaushik worked at Sequoia Capital and McKinsey & Company. He has also started four companies in US and India in energy and internet including the travel search site, Cleverlayover. Kaushik graduated with an engineering degree from IIT Madras where he won the CA Sastry Endowment Award and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.


Kaushik Bellani, Vice President and MD, Mcgraw-Hill Education India Pvt Ltd

Mr. Kaushik Bellani is the Managing Director of McGraw Hill Education India Pvt. Ltd., a digital learning company with a global footprint and a 100 year old legacy.

Mr. Bellani has been in IT industry for more than two decades. He has worked with technology leaders Cisco, IBM, Hewlett Packard and Wipro and has spent the last 3 years in the Start up Eco-System - scaling a IT Services company - Saviance Technology and Setting up the India footprint of iYogi - a Tech-Support via the cloud B2C and B2B company offering subscription based services. He has worked extensively in the Business Development, Sales & Marketing functions in large multi-channel, multi-product and services companies. He has a proven ability to create, sustain, grow and drive businesses from scratch to sustainable levels. He has owned and driven P&Ls, created new business segments and developed channels.


Kaushik Guha Thakurta, Director, Resurgent India

Kaushik Guha Thakurta is a Director in Resurgent India, a boutique investment bank and capital adviser. Mr. Thakurta has over 12 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity and Business  Consulting and has worked with leading Indian and International companies in areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, growth strategies, international expansions, Demergers and Recapitalization.  Prior to Resurgent he worked with Francisco Partners, a global Private Equity fund headquartered in San Francisco where he led 2 key investments and an IPO of one its investee companies. Before that he worked with firms such as Mckinsey & Co, AT Kearney, KPMG and the erstwhile Arthur Andersen in their India and global offices.

Mr. Thakurta is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant and an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur


Kaushik Modak, Managing Director, Rabo India Finance

Kaushik Modak is the Managing Director Corporate Banking and Corporate Advisory of Rabo India Finance Limited (RIF), the Indian 100% subsidiary of Rabobank International. He joined RIF in the year 2006. He was earlier in charge of Capital Markets in RIF.

Prior to joining RIF, Kaushik was the Principal and Head Debt Capital Market for Bank of America. A CA by qualification, Kaushik has a career span of over 20 years. Over the years he held various senior level positions in various reputed financial institutions in Corporate Banking, Treasury Management, and Debt Capital Market.

At RIF he is responsible for Commercial Banking, Corporate Advisory, and Treasury. Corporate Advisory includes the Equity and Debt Capital Markets businesses of RIF.


Kaushik Sen, CEO & Co-Founder, Healthspring Community Medical Centres

Kaushik has always nurtured a strong passion for reforming the healthcare system in India, and providing consumers with high-quality, excellent service and an ethical option for all their healthcare needs. Today, he has the privilege of witnessing this dream come to life in the form of Healthspring-a growing network of Family Health Experts.  

He received a scholarship to pursue his undergraduate studies in Colby College, USA, and received his MBA from the Harvard Business School in 2003.

Prior to founding Healthspring, he worked with management consulting firm Bain & Co. in Boston, Singapore and Delhi for over 11 years. At Bain, he worked extensively with hospitals, pharmacy and manufacturers of medical devices as well as Private Equity firms, gaining invaluable experience for his current role. When Bain opened an India office in 2005, he was an instrumental member in establishing the office. Kaushik was most recently a Principal at Bain India.

In 2009, he left Bain to co-found Wellspring Healthcare, the parent company of Healthspring. The company’s core mission is to transform the Healthcare Delivery system in India by establishing the pioneering and foremost national primary healthcare delivery network in India, and eventually becoming the most trusted healthcare brand in the country.

At Healthspring, he leads a passionate team of more than 300 medical and non-medical professionals. Healthspring currently provides high-quality primary and secondary healthcare services to close to 2 lakh users, through its 15+ medical centres, and robust Corporate Healthcare program.

He has been a featured speaker in various national and international conferences on Healthcare and entrepreneurship in India


Kaushik Shaparia, Chief Executive Officer, Deutsche Bank

Kaushik Shaparia is the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank in India and a Member of its Asia Pacific Executive Committee. He is also a Director and NonExecutive Chairman on the Boards of Deutsche India Private Limited and Deutsche CIB Centre Private Limited.

Kaushik has 36 years of extensive banking experience across transaction banking, global markets businesses, debt capital markets and client coverage, including several regional and global roles.

Prior to returning to India in his current role, Kaushik was based in Singapore with a dual portfolio as the APAC Head of Corporate Banking Coverage within Institutional and Treasury Coverage, as well as, the Global Head of Subsidiary Coverage. In these roles, Kaushik was responsible for facilitating greater alignment across the bank’s corporate coverage network globally and for driving the overall corporate client agenda in Asia.

In his previous roles across Trade Finance and Cash Management, he was also responsible for building the bank’s strong Transaction Banking franchise across APAC.

Kaushik holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.


Kaushik Thakkar, Co-Founder & CEO, Nevales

Kaushik Thakkar is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Nevales Networks. A seasoned business and technology executive with strong commercial focus and hands-on experience, Kaushik has built ventures from inception to corporations with global presence. In addition to Nevales, he was also a part of the founding team and the Board at PortWise (now part of Nexus).

In addition to being a qualified security expert, his areas of expertise include strategic alliances, business development, sales & marketing, new ventures, executive leadership and M&A. An excellent communicator with analytical, people management, and coordination skills, he has built strong and motivated teams and sales forces in the past. Gifted with a deep understanding of the Indian and overseas business cultures, Kaushik has demonstrated his ability to work in diverse environments, managing people from varied backgrounds.

Starting his career in security, he is known today as one of the few, leading technology entrepreneurs worldwide. He actively supports upcoming entrepreneurs and has experience of driving fund-raising from Angel-funding to VC funding. An early investor in Plingm and Nevanta Media, he is also on the Board of Mara Online.

Kaushik holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science and Technology from Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.
