Hrishi Oberoi, Director, Games & Studios, Digital, Disney UTV

Hrishi Oberoi has to his credit an experience of 12 years in the gaming industry majority of which have been with Indiagames (now Disney UTV). He is currently responsible for the game development studio with the Digital arm of Disney UTV. As a part of his portfolio, he oversees the creative aspect of all games and is also the business head of freemium games where he is responsible for revenue of the game titles.  

He has under his leadership the studio has launched popular games like Cricket T20 Fever, Ra.One, Cricket Fever Challenge, Barfi!, Chennai Express, Hitout Heroes and more.

Hrishi enjoys playing games, learning about new technology, watching movies and listening to music.


I.S. Gumber, Executive Director, Lakshmi Energy & Foods Ltd

Mr Gumber has been involved with agri / food sector for the last eight years, which includes planning and strategy, setting up the projects, packaging of goods, distribution and marketing. The focus has been to set up chain and to brand and market the products in India and in overseas markets. Besides doing this I have successfully explored the funding options such as bank loans and equity capital for the company, I have done work on the company’s investor and press relations, and made investor presentations in India and abroad.

Presently working also on the board with 3 other food and non food companies, rendering advise on financial, sales and marketing and HR matters.

Prior to the above, worked in financial sector for over 20 years, including 10 years with UTI group. Also worked in Project finance, Portfolio management, Investment banking and Capital markets.

Possess MBA (Finance) degree. B.Sc (hons.) and LL.B from Delhi University, CAIIB, AIA from Chartered Institute of Bankers,(UK) and PG Diploma in Corp. Laws. Besides qualification, attended seminars, conferences, training courses. Also participated in discussions on various management topics in India and abroad. Lectured as guest in management schools.

Imran has over 11 years of experience in Private Equity, Pharmaceuticals and IT services. Prior to joining Gaja, Imran worked in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in Dr. Reddy's and Wipro Technologies. He has an MBA from IIM Bangalore and a Masters degree in software engineering from BITS-Pilani.


Inderbir Singh Dhingra, Principal , IFC Asset Management

Inderbir is part of the leadership team of the IFC AMC Emerging Asia Fund, a sector agnostic fund investing alongside IFC in Emerging Markets in Asia. He has more than 19 years of experience in private equity and debt investments, equity research, and public policy. Prior to joining the IFC AMC, he held various positions in the Financial Institutions Group at IFC, including managing the South Asia portfolio and subsequently leading the direct equity investments across Asia Pacific. He has also worked at the World Bank in providing financial and advisory assistance to national and provincial governments in India and East Africa in the areas of SME financing, Infrastructure PPPs, Innovation Policy and Investment Climate. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Inderbir served as a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) and Deutsche Bank, leading their Equities Research for the Pharmaceuticals, Telecom Services & Equipment, and Media sectors based in Mumbai.

Inderbir holds an MBA equivalent from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, a Bachelors in Commerce (Honours) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, and a Diploma in Business Finance from the Indian Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. He has published papers on Investment Climate in India, Infrastructure Finance, Public Private Partnership units, and Enhancing Innovation Finance through seed and early stage venture capital funding.

Inderpreet is a renewable energy enthusiast and has over 18 years experience building large scale infrastructure projects, patented application products, extremely profitable operations, and raising venture/project finance for startups and fortune 500 companies in energy, retail, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, CPG, and service industries.

In 2007, Inderpreet incorporated Azure power, which is now a leading solar service provider in India, with a vision for creating energy security in rural India through medium scale Solar PV generation.

Inderpreet has relentlessly lobbied generation based incentives in solar sector through Clean Trade initiatives across US and India. He has been instrumental in creating India's first commercial MW scale Solar Power Plant. His work has been highlighted in top tier publications such as Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Business Today, and Economic Times. He is passionate about rural electrification and energy security through clean energy sources. He is well respected in the solar sector and has often been invited to speak about sector development and financing at events such as the Solar Power International conference, Inter solar conference, Envirotech and Clean Energy Investor Summit and other leading solar conferences.

Inderpreet graduated from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and has Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from G.N.D.U, Punjab.


Indranil Mitra, Strategic Advisor & SME - DARQ, Digital and Data Science

Indranil Mitra is one of Asia's leading authorities on AI, quantum computing, extended reality and block chain, with over 23 years’ experience at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and their application to business and governments.  He is an expert "Digital 2.0" (machine learning, artificial intelligence, block chain, augmented reality, Internet of Things, cloud robotics, robotic process automation), and has applied these technologies extensively.

Indranil co-founded and transformed a start-up boot-strap venture into a $30 million business which was ultimately acquired (MEC Technologies (M&A in 2008)).  Professionally, he started and established Strategic Design and Digital Transformation Group, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning practice, Predictive Analytics and Smart Grid expertise for Nomura Research Institute, PWC, KPMG, Accenture Consulting and so on. He has also played a lead role in creating, monitoring and evaluating programs for Smart City Digital India.

Indranil is a PhD in Cheminformatics and Data Science, Fellow – Royal Statistical Society and ACM and is on Advisory Board Member Global AI Forum. He is a published author in leading journals including IEEE and teaches in premier Indian institutes including Indian Institute of Management as visiting faculty.


Indranil Pan, Chief Economist, Kotak Mahindra Bank

Indranil Pan is Chief Economist of Kotak Mahindra Bank. He has been with the Kotak Mahindra group for over 12 years.

 

Indranil has varied work experience spanning over 17 years in financial journalism and research. Prior to joining Kotak, Indranil was with the Advisory wing of Credit Rating and Information Services of India Ltd (CRISIL).

 

Indranil is a post-graduate in Economics from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is regularly invited to participate in discussions at various economy related forums as a panel member. Iqbal Khan, Senior Partner - Private Equity, M & A & General Corporate, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas &Co

Iqbal has a J.D. from the Columbia Law School, New York, and an LL.B. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, England.  After graduating and before moving to India and helping Shardul build the Mumbai office, he worked at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, New York, and then at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, New York for approx. 6+ years, respectively.

At SAM, Iqbal represents some of the largest global PE funds, such as TPG, Rise, Apax, Temasek, Varde and Goldman Sachs, and strategics in India, such as L&T, Asian Paints and Sumitomo.  Iqbal has also done the largest LBO deal in India till date (Apax’s PIPE transaction in iGate and the follow-on acquisition of Patni (approx. USD 2.6 billion)), and over the last year he has done one of the: (i) largest direct FDI deals in India (represented L&T in its divestiture of the Electrical and Automation business through a competitive auction process to Schneider (transaction value approx. USD 2.2 Billion)); (ii) largest medical devices transaction in India (represented TPG in its sale of Healthium to Apax (approx. USD 300 million)—India’s first successful dual track exit); and (iii) one of the largest healthcare portfolio acquisitions globally (represented TPG and Rise in its acquisition of Abraaj’s global healthcare portfolio and in the Care Hospital sponsor buy-out).


Ireena Vittal, , Expert (Indian agriculture & urban change)

Ireena Vittal, a former partner with McKinsey & Co, is a recognized thought partner to companies looking to scale profitable businesses in emerging markets. After 24 years in the corporate world, she now works with governments and public institutions to design and implement solutions core to Indias’ development such as inclusive urban development and sustainable rural and Agri growth. She is also an Independent Director on the board ofselect Indian companies (including among others Wipro, Godrej, Titan, Tata Industries and Zomato) and on the global board of Compass and PATH.

She also serves on the boards of NGOs including Janaagraha (urban), Vidhi Legal (rewriting Indian laws) and ideo.org (design to solve poverty.
