Earlier he was the Head - Operations and prior to that the Sector President at Dynaspede Integrated Systems (P) Limited.

Gurumurthy has completed an Advanced Management Programme, General Management from IIM Bangalore & holds a BTech, Electrical and Electronics degree from National Institute of Technology, Calicut.

Ravi Shankar is a Managing Director with Sequoia Capital India. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital, Ravi Shankar worked at McKinsey & Company in Mumbai, where he advised senior management of top Indian companies on a variety of issues including business building, channel management and leadership development. Prior to McKinsey, Ravi Shankar worked at Wipro Technologies in their Embedded and Internet Access division.

At Wipro, Ravi Shankar helped several venture-backed networking start-up clients design and build customer premise equipment for next generation applications like VoDSL and Internet over Cable.

Ravi Shankar received an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where he was awarded the President’s Gold Medal. He also holds a BE in Computer Science and Engineering from REC Trichy.

H.E. Maher Al Kaabi, a visionary leader and a seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience in the Banking, IT industry and Family Business. He has extensive expertise in Board Membership, Islamic Banking, Wholesales & Consumer Banking, Risk Management, Finance, Operation & Technology, Sales & Distribution and Business Development. Serves in various boards of companies and is actively involved in various startup companies and is a co-founder of Blink.

Currently, he is an advisor to the Group Chairman of Al Serkal Group of Companies (165+ year old family) and serves as an Independent Board Member. His expertise lies in devising impact and commercial strategies, working with government leaders and private sectors.

Works extensively with various ministries in future technologies, circular economy, and sustainability of family businesses by training NextGen on Venture Studio Module. On the advisory board of UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and other entities.

He has worked at Citigroup for 15 years where he has assumed various senior roles both locally and internationally. Post that he worked as the Chief Risk Officer at Dubai Bank. And then as Group Head of Islamic Banking at Emirates NBD and served as Group Head Chief Operating Officer for Group Wholesale Banking. In addition, he has been honored with numerous Global Awards. 

He is currently pursuing his doctorate in the field of AI driven sustainability. 

Hadi Badri, CEO-Economic Development, Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism

Hadi Badri is the Chief Executive Officer of Economic Development at the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism.

Hadi has held various management roles at Emaar Properties, including as CEO of Emaar International ($1.5bn Revenue, $0.4bn EBITDA), Group Chief Strategy Officer at Emaar and Chairman of Namshi ($0.4bn Net Revenue). Prior to joining Emaar, Hadi was a Principal at Bain & Company, where he led a range of complex strategy and organization projects across industries.

He was also an investment professional at The Carlyle Group and Dubai International Capital. Hadi has served as a Board Director for Emaar Properties in 15 companies across Real Estate, E-commerce and Hospitality, including Emaar’s real estate development businesses in India, Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco and Jordan, Namshi (Fashion E-commerce) and Rove Hotels (Hospitality).

Hadi has also served as a Board Director at Sandooq Al Watan (Private Sector Not-for-profit) and Rivoli Group (Retail) and as a Member of Investment Advisory Committees at Middle East Venture Partners (Venture Capital) and Carlyle MENA Partners (Private Equity).

Hadi is an honors graduate in Economics from Tufts University in Massachusetts, USA.
