Dr. Sameer Khan, CEO, Rockland Hospitals

Dr. Sameer Ahmed Khan, MBBS, MHA, is the CEO of the Rockland hospitals. Rockland Hospital was started as a 100 Bed Unit in South Delhi in 2004 and Under his leadership, now the group runs 800 beds in the Delhi NCR region with three hospitals covering all levels of Healthcare. As the Group CEO he is responsible for the Healthcare Business and currently building a team to deliver both clinical and financial results. He is actively engaged in hiring a top notch team in addition to streamlining the processes so that the business is ready for the explosive growth it is witnessing.

He was previously Chief Operating Officer at NOVA MEDICAL CENTERS. At Nova he was responsible the Profit and loss of the company, ensure robust operational excellence, manage Projects and the essential areas of Growth, IT and Doctor Engagement. In his major part of career he was associated with Fortis Healthcare as a Director. He was involved in Medical Strategy and Operations, Revenue and Capital Budgeting and its review, Hospital Planning, Technology Management, Doctor Engagement, Project Management and devising appropriate Medical and Growth Strategy. He is a seasoned professional with over 15 years’ experience in Healthcare Industry .A trained clinician and manager who has worked with two of the largest Healthcare Organizations  in the country; namely - Apollo Hospital Group and Fortis Healthcare.


Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group

Dr. Sangita Reddy  is a Global Healthcare Leader, Indian Entrepreneur and Humanitarian. She is the Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited - Asia's largest and most trusted healthcare group. Dr. Sangita Reddy is  also the President of The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Passionately committed to transforming healthcare system through technological advancements, she is accelerating positive transformation for effective healthcare service delivery. She has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate by Macquarie University Australia, in recognition of her untiring efforts and resolute commitment to bringing transformative changes in healthcare, development of Health IT and championing manifold initiatives both in India and abroad. She has advocated and influenced policy reforms and is an acclaimed speaker on global healthcare forums around the world including the World Health Congress. As a member of the Rockefeller Working Group she contributes to the development of private sector’s role in the global healthcare industry.

Driving Healthcare Technology & Innovation - A firm believer in the potential of leveraging technology in a holistic manner, Dr. Sangita Reddy is focused on setting benchmarks in futuristic health care projects enabling IOT, AI, Data Analytics, drone tech and Block Chain.  A driving force for the eHealth initiatives, it is under her leadership that Apollo Hospitals has received three consecutive HiMSS-Elsevier ICT achievement awards and four hospitals have achieved the HiMSS Level-6 certification. Apollo Hospitals Hyderabad has emerged as Asia’s first Health City.

In an initiative to build a healthier India, Dr. Sangita Reddy launched Mobile Clinics equipped with high-end technology for advanced screening of NCDs for reaching the masses who do not have easy access to affordable and quality healthcare.

An Entrepreneur Promoting Affordable and Sustainable Social Initiatives - Committed to building a more inclusive healthcare ecosystem in the nation, one of her initiatives has been Apollo Reach, which aims to build a string of secondary care hospitals in rural areas across India. It is under her leadership that the world’s 1st Telemedicine Centre, at an altitude of 14,000 feet, has been successfully established by Apollo Telehealth.

Dr. Sangita Reddy is also Chairman at Apollo Knowledge, an education initiative focused on shaping healthcare human capital for tomorrow. Apollo Knowledge initiatives such as setting up of Medical Colleges, the online learning platform Medvarsity and Apollo MedSkills, go a long way towards achievement of this objective. Today, Apollo MedSkills is the largest and most preferred healthcare skilling institution in India.

Driving Humanitarian Initiatives - Dr. Sangita Reddy heads Apollo Philanthropy, an umbrella entity encompassing ‘Save a Child’s Heart Initiative’, SAHI, CURE and the Billion Hearts Beating Foundation. She was also in the forefront of the formation of the Total Health Foundation which aims to improve the 'total health' of people by acting on the wider determinants of health as well as providing access to healthcare.

Steering the awareness and cause of Organ Donation, Dr. Sangita Reddy has implemented initiatives to bring together volunteer groups, healthcare organizations, civil society organizations, governments, NGO's and public sector institutions on a common platform to create an Organ Donation Bank.

Educational Qualifications - A graduate in Science from the Women’s Christian College in Chennai, India, Dr. Sangita Reddy has pursued post-graduation courses in Hospital Administration from Rutgers University, Harvard University and the National University of Singapore.

Awards and Recognitions - Dr. Sangita Reddy has been a recipient of numerous prestigious awards for business and leadership.  In 2019, she was presented with the “Best Female Healthcare Leader “Mediko award from the prestigious Indian Medical Association.International Women Entrepreneur 2019 award from the IWEC Foundation &The Healthcare Transformation Leader’s Award’ for her exemplary role in India’s healthcare sector at India's Biggest Event on Innovation in Healthcare – ‘Healthcare in today’s Digital India. Dr.Sangita Reddy has  also been featured  by LinkedIn in  the  “Top Voices 2019 India List”.

In 2007, FICCI Ladies Organization, Hyderabad chapter awarded Dr. Sangita Reddy for her contribution to ‘Women Power & Entrepreneurship’. In 2005-06 Dr. Sangita Reddy was awarded the Top Woman Entrepreneur in the Information and Communication Technology Sector by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.  In 1998, Dr. Sangita Reddy received the Young Manager of the Year Award from the Hyderabad Management Association.

Dr. Sanjay Arora is the founder & managing Director of a diagnostic center, Suburban Diagnostics India Pvt Ltd. Since 1994, he has expanded 14 main centers and over 22 collection centers with handling 2000 patients per day catering to all pathology investigations including Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Cytology, Clinical Pathology, Serology along with X ray, ECG, Stress test (TMT), Sonography, 2D echo, Color Doppler and Health Checkups while handling staff strength of over 600 employees and catering to a patient profile from direct walk-ins to refer and hospital samples and corporate clients including insurance medicals. He also worked as a  lecturer of pathology in J J hospital.

Dr. Sanjay Parikh, Executive VP- Europe and Member of the Board, Indegene Lifesystems Pvt Ltd

Dr.Parikh has more than two decades of experience in business development and operations in the health-care, medical devices, and pharmaceutical industries. He has rich experience in market development across multiple geographies and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical/health-care landscape worldwide.

As Executive Vice President of Indegene, he is responsible for the company’s business performance in Europe; he is also responsible for driving some of the company’s core strategic initiatives.

Before joining Indegene, he was the health care venture partner in a large British VC firm. He has also held various leadership positions in the medical diagnostics industry. Dr. Parikh holds a BTech from IIT, Bombay, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, USA.


Dr. Sanjeev K. Chaudhry, MD, Super Religare Laboratories Ltd

Dr. Sanjeev K Chaudhry is an accomplished management professional, author and researcher. He is presently Managing Director of SRL Limited and Chairman of CSC Nutrigenomics Pte Limited, Singapore. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several companies and institutions in India and abroad.

SRL Limited is India’s largest and world’s leading Healthcare Diagnostics Company. The company runs a network of 250 Pathology Laboratories and Radiology Centers in India and serves over ten million people annually.

He was the South Asia head of DuPont Solae until June 2006, a position he held for eleven years. Prior to that he served as Chairman & Managing Director of Modern Food Industries and was the youngest person to head a Government of India company. He was also the first CEO of NatOleo Sdn Bhd Malaysia one of world’s largest producers of Oleochemicals.

He has a Ph.D in Business Administration from Columbia University, United States and holds a university record for Masters in Economics at Punjab University, Chandigarh.


Dr. Santanu Chattopadhyay, Founder & CEO, NationWide Primary Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd.

Dr Santanu Chattopadhyay is an alumnus of INSEAD, Fontainebleau (2003) and Royal College of Physicians of London (1997) and holds a Master Degree in Internal Medicine from PGIMER, Chandigarh (1995). His career spans over two decades spent in clinical medicine, pharmaceuticals, clinical research and KPO/consulting industry in India and abroad. Although trained as Gastroenterologist and Internist, his passion lies in developing a robust Primary Healthcare system for India.

Dr Chatopadhyay founded NationWide, a pioneering chain of Primary Care clinics in 2010 and rapidly scaled it up to 35 clinics across Bangalore & Delhi-NCR in a short span of less than 4 years.

He has a track record of excellent leadership and building businesses from scratch and making them profitable in a short span of time in trans-cultural settings. He has previously worked in several internationally renowned hospitals and organizations such as Barts and the London Medical School, University Hospitals of Leicester, PGIMER (Chandigarh), Johnson & Johnson and Indegene Lifesystems.


Dr. Sanuj K. Ravindran, MD, AsianHealthcare Fund

Dr. Sanuj K. Ravindran -Dr. Ravindran is the Managing Director of Asian Healthcare Fund (AHF), a New Delhi based PE/VC fund that invests in growth-stage healthcare and life sciences companies, primarily in India and Southeast Asia. Previously, Dr. Ravindran was a Principal of Radius Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on leading-edge health and life sciences companies; and prior to Radius, he was a Director of Burrill & Company’s venture capital group, where he also founded and led the Burrill India Group. In addition to his role with AHF, Dr. Ravindran currently serves on the Boards of Chennai based RxMD and Florida based Gyrx.  

Dr. Ravindran’s prior board roles include Ambit Biosciences, Athersys, Resolvyx Pharmaceuticals, Endocyte, Proventys and diaDexus.  He is a member of the Society of Kauffman Fellows and is a U.S. Board Certified physician (Internal Medicine).  Dr. Ravindran received his B.A. from Northwestern University, his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College and his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management, where he was a Rothschild Scholar.


Dr. Sathyan David, Chief General Manager, DNBS, RBI

Dr. Sathyan David has joined as the Chief General Manager of Department of Non-Banking Supervision at Mumbai on December 23, 2014. In his professional career with the Reserve Bank of India spanning three decades, Dr. David was Regional Director of RBI, Jaipur and  specialized in Banking Supervision and has worked in several offices of the RBI viz. Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhopal & Chennai holding senior positions in various departments of RBI viz. Department of Banking Regulation, Department of Banking Supervision, Department of Co-operative Banking Regulation & Supervision , Banking and Issue Department.


Dr. Sheriff Sahadulla, CEO, KIMS

Dr. Sheriff Sahadulla is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer for the KIMS Healthcare Group in the Middle East.  Dr. Sahadulla obtained his MD from Tufts University in Boston and did his Post graduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sahadulla is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is also a Senior Fellow of Hospital Medicine.

Prior to joining KIMS, Dr. Sahadulla was based in Boston and held the position of Regional Medical Director for TEAMHealth, a National Healthcare Management Company. Dr. Sahadulla has also held the position of Medical Director and President of the Medical Staff, St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua.

Dr. Sahadulla has won numerous awards including TOP DOC by New Hampshire Magazine in 2011 and 2014, Regional VP of the year from TEAMHealth and several patient care awards.


Dr. Shuchin Bajaj, Founder and Director, Ujala Cygnus Hospitals

Dr. Shuchin Bajaj is the Founder Director of Ujala Cygnus Hospitals. Ujala Cygnus is currently operating nineteen hospitals in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana with a combined bed strength of 2000 beds and more than 2500 employees, with a vision to provide superspeciality and emergency healthcare to district towns of the states of India where no such facilities currently exist. It aims to expand to 25 hospitals with a bed strength of 2500 beds by the end of 2025.

Shuchin is a highly qualified medical scholar. After completing his MBBS from PGIMS, Rohtak, he did his Doctorate in Internal Medicines (MD) from Dr S N Medical College, Jodhpur in 2004. Apart from the foregoing, he also did Certified Professional course on Diabetes Management and Total Control from American Academy of Continuing Medical Education, USA in 2008, Advanced Program in Strategic Management from I.I.M. Calcutta in 2013 and Advanced Program in Cardiac Emergencies from Boston University in 2014.

Shuchin is a Senior fellow at the Aspen New Voices Program, Committed to making the voices of the ground level workers and changemakers being heard by the policy makers.

Dr Bajaj was the recipient of the British Government’s 2015 Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence award at King’s College London, where he spent considerable time studying the various facets of Leadership, its various challenges and its learnings for India. 
He was also selected for freeship to the ‘Innovating Health for Tomorrow” Fellowship at INSEAD, France in 2017 and his project for Ambulance services was the top of the class of 40 high ranked professionals from around the world.

Shuchin is also an Aspire Fellow, a Fellowship dedicated to enlightened social leadership, held at IIM, Ahmedabad and conducted by Dr. Pradeep Khandwala, Ex Director, IIMA.

He has also completed the Elite Seed Transformation Program conducted by the Stanford Global Business School.
He is on the board of a number of national prominent NGOs as Advisor-Health Programmes and played an active part in the Helpage International’s Regional Research Initiative on Older People’s Health as the Academic partner of the International Health Working Group in 2008, as well as being part of the Healthcare Track for Xynteo’s India2022 coalition.

In addition to numerous other awards and accolades, Shuchin has received the “World Wide Achievers Health Care Excellence Award 2014” for Healthcare Excellence in Internal Medicine in Delhi and NCR, ”Best Consultant in Internal Medicine in Delhi 2012” by the Time Research Media Foundation, “National Award for Excellence in Healthcare 2015” for fastest growing healthcare chain in North India along with “2015 Leaders Award”. In the past Dr. Bajaj has also received “Stars of the Industry Healthcare Awards” for excellence in managing tertiary healthcare centers in Tier-II towns, “4th MT India Healthcare Awards” for most promising healthcare chain of India, Most Promising Healthcare Brand and Best Upcoming Hospital Chain, amongst others. Dr Bajaj and the Cygnus Team were featured by the Economic Times in a feature on Entrepreneurs Leading Disruptive Change. Dr. Bajaj is also the winner the Healthcare Leader of the Year, 2017 Awards.

Shuchin is an avid Healthcare Investor and is associated with multiple Health Tech Companies as investor, Board Member and mentor. He is on the TBIU Board of FITT, IIT, Delhi and was also a member of the Advisory Council to the previous Minister of State for Health, Shri Ashwini Choubey.

Shuchin is also part of the founding team of Medpho, a Digital Health Startup that is committed to providing the highest level of high quality healthcare access to communities that are not part of the mainstream. The startup is already ensuring surgeries to hundreds of patients per month at zero out of pocket expenses.

Over the last two years, Shuchin has been fighting the war on the pandemic as a frontline warrior doing clinical work including Covid ICU duties and managing his nineteen hospitals offering covid care to thousands of patients daily. Shuchin has also been a core team member of Project StepOne, helping 21 state governments manage their Covid response ranging from helplines to home isolation management to plasma management, attending to four million patients in the process,  as well as running a free 1000 bed covid hospital with the largest field ICU in the country of 308 beds in Delhi and a 100 bed free Covid Hospital in Prayagraj. Shuchin has also appeared on FM Radio leading multiple campaigns on Covid education, Vaccination, myth busting and plasma donation. He has also been very visible on TV and social media for these efforts. His Facebook profile was blue tick verified recently due to these educational activities.
