He serves as the Chairman of The Board at Medica Superspecialty Hospital Pvt. Ltd. He serves as a Director of Medica Synergie Pvt Ltd. and Medicare Synergie Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Roy received MD from AIIMS and DRM from TMH, Bombay.

Dr. Amit Kakar joined Novo Holdings Asia in August 2020 as Head of Asia to lead investments and partnerships across the region, focusing primarily on the markets in China, Southeast Asia and India.
Dr. Kakar has more than 25 years of healthcare experience with several senior management roles across the globe and having worked in India, China, Singapore, Denmark and the USA.
His previous roles include Head of M&A and Business Development at Everlife Asia, Head of Healthcare Investments for Asia with the Avenue Capital Group, and various senior leadership positions with GE Healthcare.
Dr. Kakar is a Medical Doctor with a postgraduate degree in Radiation and Nuclear Medicine from Tata Memorial Hospital and Cancer Centre in Mumbai, India.

Dr. Amit Varma comes with a rich experience of over 20 years in the medical arena and over 12 years in the management field. He is also Director, Critical Care Medicine and is member of the Clinician Engagement Group, Fortis & Escorts group of Hospital, New Delhi.
Amit pursued his MBBS and MD from University of Delhi, and completed his residency from the State University of New York. He successfully completed an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago, and did fellowships in critical care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, with sub specialization in cardiac critical care at the Cleveland Clinic.
Amit is on the editorial board for the society for research and is a member of the society for critical care medicine, Asian pediatrics cardiac surgery and cardiology. He is an Expert Consultant on CNN-IBN and a visiting faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh and the Cleveland Clinic. He was also earlier attached as a Healthcare consultant to the World Bank and the European commission. A complete outdoor person, Amit plays soccer, loves swimming and hiking.

Anand is the Managing Director & CEO of Agilus Diagnostics, India’s leading diagnostic chain that is spread across 1000+ Cities, 30 States and Union Territories with a network of 410+ Laboratories and 4000+ customer touch points. He has over 25 years of robust work experience in the healthcare industry specialising in Diagnostics and Laboratory services in India, South Asia, Africa and Middle East.
He comes with deep subject knowledge of diagnostics, combined with strong business acumen that enables him to identify business drivers, understand complex issues, take affirmative actions and drive results. He joined Agilus from Apollo Hospitals Group where he was the CEO of their Diagnostic Business Unit of AHLL, based at Hyderabad. Anand is a proven healthcare leader with extensive experience in leading diagnostic companies, including Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (COO), Neuberg Diagnostics (Group CEO), among others. Over the last two and half decades, he has grown strength to strength and has driven various portfolios covering Operations, Sales, Network, Channel development and management, Marketing, Strategic Business Development, national and international greenfield projects, Mergers and Acquisitions, Hospital lab management contracts, Public Private Partnerships, P&L responsibilities, integration & change management and partner development.
A people’s leader and a seasoned communicator, he believes in empowering teams to drive business goals. He also firmly believes in organisations driving a larger purpose that is beyond numbers and is an advocate of sustainability in business. Anand is actively involved in various industry forums in India and abroad as a speaker. He is currently the Chair of Diagnostics Forum of NATHEALTH and the Co-Chair of CII’s Delhi State Committee on Healthcare & Wellness. Dr. Anand won the Healthcare Leader of the Year Award at the Business World Healthcare Summit 2022 and also won the Healthcare CEO of the Year Award at the Economic Times Healthcare Excellence Awards 2022. More recently he won the Healthcare Leader of the Year Award at the Elets Healthcare Summit 2023, Dubai.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a specialisation in medical laboratory technology from JIPMER Medical College affiliated to the Pondicerry University and a PostGraduate Diploma in Management from the Academic Council of the International Institute of Advanced Marketing. He has completed his Doctorate in Business Administration from Swiss School of Business and Management, Geneva. He has also completed a program on Strategies for Growth from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
