Dr. M. Vidyasagar, Director, Association for Biotechnology Led Enterprises
Dr. Mathukumalli Vidyasagar was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh on 29 September 1947. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, all in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Wisconsin, in 1965, 1967, and 1969, respectively. Between 1969 and 1989, he worked as a Professor of Electrical Engineering at various universities in the USA and Canada. His last overseas job was with the University of Waterloo, Canada between 1980-89.
In 1989 he returned to India as the Director of the newly-created Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), under the auspices of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. In that capacity he built up CAIR into a leading research laboratory consisting of about 40 scientists working on various cutting-edge areas such as aircraft control, robotics, neural networks, and image processing.
In 2000 he joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT firm, as an Executive Vice President in charge of Advanced Technology. In this capacity he created the Advanced Technology Centre (ATC), which currently consists of about 60 engineers and scientists working on e-security, advanced encryption methods, and bioinformatics.
In addition to his academic positions, he has held visiting positions at several universities including MIT, California (Berkeley), Califomia (Los Angeles), CNRS Toulouse, France; Indian Institute of Science; University of Minnesota and Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He is the author or coauthor of nine books and more than one hundred and thirty papers in archival journals. He has received several honours in recognition of his research activities including the Distinguished Service Citation from his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a Fellow of IEEE as well as the Indian Academy of Sciences; the Indian National Science Academy, the Indian National Academy of Engineering and the Third World Academy of Sciences.

Started MedPlus in 2005 executing on a business plan written in his final semester at B-school. MedPlus under his leadership has grown to be the second largest retail chain in the country with over 1700 stores across 7 states in the country.
Dr. Gangadi has an MBBS from Kurnool Medical College and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Dr. Mohammed Sayeed Rehan, Founder & Exec. Chairman, Rhea Healthcare Pvt Ltd. (Motherhood)
Dr. Mohammed Rehan Sayeed is the chairman of Motherhood Hospitals, a position he has held since he founded Motherhood India in January 2011. As the chairman of Motherhood India, he overlooks and directs all the activities across all Motherhood units, based in Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Dr. Rehan received his DNB in General Surgery & Cardiothoracic from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He is an MD, with Fellowship in Pediatric cardiac Surgery from The Children’s Hospital of Boston Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. He also holds MD, Fellowship in Heart failure Surgery & Cardiac Transplant from The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, he has a Fellowship in Adult cardiac Surgery from Boston University Medical Center, Boston, USA.
A renowned cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, Dr. Rehan, has practiced extensively in India and abroad. He has performed over 10,000 cardiac and 4,000 thoracic surgeries. He has done over 2,000 mini bypass surgeries with 99.5% success rate, for which he was nominated to the “Robert Emory Young Innovator Award” by the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (ISMICS). He has successfully completed more than 3,000 for the entire range of minimal access cardiac surgeries, and over a 500 endoscopic heart surgeries. A pioneer in the field of hybrid cardiac surgery in India, He has extensive experience in both adult and paediatric cardiac surgery.
In addition to having performed an array of surgeries, Dr. Rehan has many firsts to his credit. He is the first doctor to do an endoscopic closure of a complex congenital heart defect (partial anomalous venous return) in the world. The first endoscopic closure of atrial septal defect (ASD) and the first hybrid coronary bypass surgery (CABG) in south India was done by Dr. Rehan. Dr. Rehan holds the credit of being the largest single surgeon series of mini bypass surgery in the world and the largest single surge on series of minimal access cardiac surgery in India.
Dr. Rehan has vast research experience in various facets of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery and has presented many papers at several national and international conferences. Besides, he has also aut hored chapters on valve surgery in major cardiac surgery textbooks. Dr. Rehan is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Cleveland Clinic Alumni. He is also a much sought after speaker at many national and international scientific gatherings.

A highly accomplished clinician with MHA and post graduation from IIM-B having over 16 years of leadership roles in Public, Trust and Corporate Sector Healthcare units.
Dr. Mudit Saxena graduated from SMS Medical College, Jaipur and he has pursued academics with Johns Hopkins University, U.S.A. and Singapore Management University.
He started his career serving at primary health centres in rural Rajasthan. He later joined as the pioneering member of the first Private Medical College in that State.
He worked with Wockhardt Hospitals at key positions and later headed the Fortis Hospital at Cunningham Road, Bangalore. Dr. Saxena went on to serve the flagship hospital of Fortis - FMRI, Gurgaon as the Program Director.
He is currently associated with HCG Enterprises Ltd. as Chief Operating Officer (COO) managing the operations of the key hospitals in Karnataka, Rajasthan and MP. He has recently launched HCG Homecare Services and is involved in strategic initiatives for the Group.
Dr. Saxena has been the Chairperson and panelist for Healthcare Asia, Singapore in 2013 and 2014. He has been a keynote speaker and panelist at various National Healthcare forums. His deep and incisive knowledge of Indian Healthcare Industry is exceptional. He was felicitated at the Annual Smart Healthcare India Summit, 2015 for his Outstanding Contribution to Indian Healthcare Industry.

Dr. N.Krishna Reddy, has graduated from Osmania Medical College in 1984 with honors. He completed his MD in Internal Medicine from the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh in 1987. He did his fellowship in Cardiology leading to DM from GB Pant Hospital, Delhi University, New Delhi.
He worked at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, and Mediciti Hospitals, Hyderabad, prior to establishing Care Hospitals. He has pioneered advanced imaging techniques and electrophysiology procedures in the state of Andhra Pradesh. His contribution to landmark original research includes studies on Percutaneous Valvotomy for Rheumatic Mitral Stenosis, Prosthetic Valve Thrombosis, Role of Sildenafil in Primary Pulmonary Hypertension etc.
He conducted epidemiological studies on cardiovascular risk factors. He has been acting as Principal Investigator and National Lead Investigator for various multinational drug and device trials. He established a dedicated department of Clinical Research at Care Hospitals. He was the key member of the team that developed and tested India's first indigenous coronary stent, popularly known as Kalam-Raju Stent.
He co-founded the Care Hospitals in 1997, which has grown rapidly from 100-bed strength, single hospital, single specialty entity to more than 1500-bed strength, 12-hospitals, 6-states, and multispecialty within a short span of 10 years. He is currently Managing Director, Andhra Cardiology Associates (ACA), which has the largest team of 50 Cardiologists managing Cardiology services in various Care Hospitals; Director & CEO at Care Hospitals since 2006; Member, Board of Directors, Care Foundation. He co-founded Relisys Medical Devices and is currently its Chairman. Relisys Medical Devices has created a cost-effective end-to-end technology platform for both Stents and Polymer-based Catheters.

Dr. N. Rajendran, CTO, NPCI
Dr. N. Rajendran is responsible for the entire Technology Infrastructure - including operations, projects, infrastructure architecture, data centre management, IT security and implementing key strategic initiatives. Spearheading the technology solutions, Dr Rajendran has been responsible for perfecting NPCI's system, processes and controls that essentially require quality standardization to support the goal of the company that is - 'Touching every Indian by 2020.'
After receiving National Financial Switch (NFS) from IDRBT in 2009, Dr Rajendran played responsible role in carrying out the overall functioning and developed it with utmost care. He efficiently led the transformation from INFINET application to NPCINet, which has now robust architecture and supports over 100 member banks with more than one lakh ATMs and about 100 lakh transactions per day, collectively. He is credited as one of the key founders of National Financial Switch and played a crucial role in architecting and establishing NPCI's biggest Payment network - NPCINet. Under his leadership, NPCI has been able to achieve some of the technology benchmarks including - PCI DSS certification project, data centre establishment & data centre migration, new network of NPCI NET for NFS, CTS, RuPay, ACH, APBS, IMPS and AEPS.
With having over 22 years of technology experience, mostly into payment system, Dr Rajendran has managed key portfolios mainly into - designing, implementing and operations at some of the biggest financial networks in the country - Indian Financial Network(INFINET), NFS and NPCINET, which include ATMs, POS, Payment Gateway, Payment Switch, Network Security, Network & System Administration, Infrastructure Development, Information Security Management, and consulting experience with large banks.
He has earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, after completing MCA and B.Sc in Applied Physics. He has been a member of the working group on 'Network and Security Standard for e-governance', and worked as a co-investigator for the R&D project - 'Protocol and Security Frameworks for Mobile Payments', under Ministry of Information Technology.
