Overview

The prevailing business and economic situation affects a company’s valuations. The value of a company is determined with the help of professional insight, along with an in-depth knowledge of valuation techniques and methodologies. Knowing what an asset is worth and what determines that value is a pre-requisite for intelligent decision making -- in choosing investments for a portfolio, in deciding the appropriate price to pay or receive in a takeover and in making investment, as well as financing and dividend choices while running a business. We can make reasonable estimates of value for most assets, and the same fundamental principles determine the values of all types of assets, real as well as financial.

This introduction offers insights into the valuation process and outlines the role that valuation plays in portfolio management, acquisition analysis and corporate finance. In finance, valuation analysis is required for tax assessment, business analysis, basic bookkeeping and accounting, etc.

During the two-day workshop, all sessions will have a highly technical content with workshops catering to all levels of experience. The workshop aims to provide a comprehensive knowledge on how to make valuation on companies and businesses.

Why Is It Different?

The workshop will include case studies of actual corporations and how valuation methods influence their strategy, as well as hands-on exercises, and will give participants the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of techniques through presentations and discussions. Delegates will actively take part in workshop and make all calculations individually, guided by experts.
