Sanjay Vijayakumar, CEO, MobME

As CEO, Sanjay is responsible for setting the strategy and direction for MobME as well as building and managing a high-performance team of young professionals. An entrepreneur at heart even as a student, Sanjay along with a few of his friends was instrumental in founding Torque the most recognized young startup in Kerala and then successfully spinning off and launching MobME as a new company. For the past two years Sanjay has been fully immersed in building MobME into a very exciting new venture. As an excellent marketer and communicator at heart Sanjay splits his time between spreading the MobME vision (at times playing the role of CMO) as well as fund-raising and performing business development as the CEO.


Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO, Gitanjali Exports Corporation Ltd

Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, an Management Graduate, has a unique combination of experience encompassing FMCG, Banking & Finance and the Luxury Retail Sectors.

Starting his career with Unilevers handling Sales, Distribution and New Product launches, Mr Agarwal moved to Cadburys to handle Marketing & Brand Management. He then moved to Deutsche Bank and worked with them for over 14 years and was instrumental in setting-up the Retail & Private Banking Business of Deutsche Bank (DB) in India as the Director - Retail & Private Banking. During his stint with DB he had been acknowledged for having launched a number of innovative investment products.

He then moved to World Gold Council as Managing Director – India-subcontinent - where he conceptualized and launched a number of Gold Jewellery brands such as “Collection g”, “Gold Expressions” & “Bollywood Gold”. His most important contribution has been identifying & developing a new “gold buying day – Aksaya Tirthay” resulting in a increase in gold purchases by over 40 tons during this auspicious day from a level of 3-4 tons, within a span of 4 years from the date of launch. He also developed the concept of retailing of gold coins through the branches of the Banks in India, as well as the launch of the Gold Mutual Fund in India.

At Gitanjali Group, Mr Agarwal is spearheading a number of new business initiatives covering both the domestic and the international markets. The most recent innovating in the area of jewellery retail being the launch of a Gold & Diamond ATM machine.

Mr Agarwal Is an active member of a number of Associations & Trade Body and is a Member of the FICCI – Gems & Jewellery Group. He is also the Chairman of Indo-Armenia Business Council. He has also received the ‘Niyat Shree Gold Award’ from the President of India in 2012. 


Sanjeev Aggarwal, Senior Managing Director, Helion Advisors Private Limited | @HelionVC

Sanjeev Aggarwal is a co-founder of Helion and has served on the Boards of MakeMyTrip and Unitedlex. He is currently on the Boards of IndiaHomes, Azure Power, Amba Research, Eye-Q and ShopClues. Prior to Helion, Sanjeev was the Founder and CEO of Daksh, having been with the company from its inception in 2000 to its acquisition by IBM in 2004. Sanjeev ran the company as its CEO till June 2006. Daksh was a pioneer in BPO sector in year 2000 and had over 20,000 employees by June, 2006. During this period, Daksh was rated as the World's Best Managed BPO company (Black Book of Outsourcing) and was ranked as the #1 employer in Indian BPO market by IDC. Sanjeev was chosen "Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year" in 2002.

Prior to founding Daksh, he worked for 15 years with leading technology companies serving the domestic Indian market. Sanjeev led the Strategic Initiatives at Motorola India. He worked with Digital Equipment Corporation in delivering technology solutions and was recognized as the "Decathlon Winner", a recognition given to top 1% managers worldwide. He also served as the CEO of 3COM India.

Sanjeev Asthana is a recognized leader in Food & Agribusiness with over 25 years of experience in India & Internationally. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of I-Farm Venture Advisors(Investment and Consulting), Chairman Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) and Chairman National Skills Foundation of India (NSFI). He Serves on the Board of Directors ‘NCDEX Spot Exchange Ltd’. Sanjeev serves on National Committees of FICCI, CII, PHDCCI and ASSOCHAM the National Chambers of Commerce in the Agriculture & Food Processing.

Sanjeev was formerly the President & Chief Executive of Reliance Retail, Director on Board of Cargill India, Commodity Trading(Asia Pacific) - Cargill Singapore, Country Head - ITC Global Holdings for Indonesia and Romania. Sanjeev has led investment upwards of US$ 500 Million and managed large scale Businesses in Asia Pacific, Europe and India.

His international affiliations are with International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) UK, Hivos Knowledge Programme, Netherlands, Enterprise Solution to Poverty (ESP) New York, USIndia Business Council (USIBC), Water Forum, Columbia University, USA .

He has served on the Committees of Planning Commission, NDC, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The most recent one was as Chairman - Task Force of Planning Commission on Physical Markets for Twelfth Five Year Plan (2012-17).

He has made presentations at G-20 Consultation at Istanbul, Harvard University US, European Paraliament (Brussels), London Business School and leading International conferences in Montreal,
Vienna, Houston, Melbourne, Tokyo, Beijing, Singapore, Manila, Bandung etc and across India on a wide variety of topics such as Food Security, Agriculture Supply Chains, Nutrition, International Trade, PPP Models, Demand dynamics of emerging economies, Retail etc.


Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and Executive Vice-Chairman, Info Edge (India) Limited

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, an Indian national, is our Founder and Executive Vice-Chairman. Mr. Bikhchandani obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Stephen College, Delhi University in 1984 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management ("PGDM") from IIM, Ahmedabad in 1989. His work experience includes an advertising position at Lintas India Limited, a marketing position at HMM Limited (now known as Glaxo SmithKline), and a senior management position at CMYK Printech Private Limited (owner of The Pioneer newspaper).

Sanjeev, along with his partner Hitesh Oberoi, won the “Ernst and Young – Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2008 for Business Transformation. He also won the Dataquest Pathbreaker Award & the Teacher’s Achievement Award for Business in 2008. He is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship at conferences and at business schools.


Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder & Executive Vice Chairman, InfoEdge

The company also runs Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com, and Shiksha.com. In addition it has made strategic investments in promising web start-ups such as Zomato, Policybazaar, Meritnation, Mydala, Canvera, and Happily Unmarried.

Sanjeev graduated from IIM Ahmedabad in 1989 and quit his job for entrepreneurship eighteen months later. For the first seven years he drifted and did a number of small businesses – from salary surveys to databases, to feasibility studies, to training. Finally in 1997 the company launched Naukri.com and transformed itself into an Internet company.

Starting off from a servant quarter above a garage and seed capital of two thousand rupees, the company grew and attracted investment from leading venture capitalists. It was the first Internet company to list on Indian stock exchanges. Today The company employs over 3500 people and has a market capitalization of over USD 2.0 bill.

Prior to starting Naukri, Sanjeev had worked in advertising with Lintas and in consumer marketing at Glaxo SmithKline. For a brief period, he was the Consulting Editor of Avenues – the careers supplement of ‘The Pioneer’ newspaper. He along with his partner Hitesh Oberoi won the “Ernst and Young – Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2008 for Business Transformation. He also won the Dataquest Pathbreaker Award & the Teacher’s Achievement Award for Business in the same year.

In 2011 he was conferred the Distinguished Alumnus award by IIM Ahmedabad and in 2012 he was honoured with the CF Andrews Distinguished Alumnus award by St. Stephen’s College. He is also the recipient of Lakshmipat Singhania – IIM Lucknow National Leadership Award as Young Leader in the Business Category for the year 2012.

He is a member of the Board of the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship at IIM Ahmedabad. In April 2017, Outlook Magazine selected him as one of India’s fifty greatest CEO’s ever.

Sanjeev has served as the President of the Delhi chapter of TiE [The Indus Entrepreneurs]. He has also served as a member of the Global Board of Trustees of TiE. He serves on the National Executive of FICCI and on the National Council of AIMA. He has been Chair of the Internet Council of NASSCOM.

Sanjeev is a founding trustee of Ashoka University. He is a also member of the Board of Chintan - a not for profit organization that works with waste pickers in Delhi. Sanjeev studied Economics at St. Stephens College and schooled at St. Columba’s in Delhi


Sanjeev Dasgupta, CEO, Ascendas Property Fund Trustee

Sanjeev has around 22 years of experience in the areas of real estate fund management, corporate finance, strategy and financial control. Immediately prior to joining Ascendas, he was working as President of Real Estate at ICICI Venture Funds Mgmt. Co. Ltd., a leading private equity fund manager in India. In that role, he was responsible for investments and portfolio management of the Real Estate funds of around USD 600 million. His key achievements included creation of a real estate structured investment product and a managed account platform through which he led investments in Mumbai, NCR and Bangalore. He also played a key role in significant performance improvements of certain assets through changes in the development mix, cost reduction, refinancing and other initiatives. Prior to joining ICICI Venture, he managed real estate investments of around USD 430 million as Managing Director at Future Capital Real Estate, a leading real estate development oriented fund manager. He led several landmark investments in metros such as Mumbai and Bangalore and in high growth tier 2 cities.

Sanjeev's prior work experience included stints with organisations such as Tata Group and Merrill Lynch across India, Hong Kong and London. He is a qualified chartered accountant, graduate company secretary and holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School.


Sanjeev Dasgupta, President – Real Estate, ICICI Venture

Sanjeev Dasgupta has over 20 years of experience in the areas of Corporate Finance, Strategy and Financial Control. Prior to joining ICICI Venture, he was the Managing Director at Future Capital Real Estate. In this role he led investments in Retail and Mixed-use assets. He played a key role in equity investments of USD 300 Mln and development of real estate assets of around USD 1.5 Billion and in fund raising for the domestic fund, Kshitij (Rs. 350 Cr.), and the offshore fund, Horizon (USD 350 Mln).

Prior to this, Sanjeev has worked with companies such as Tata Exports, UTI Inc, Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, Tata Teleservices and Epicenter Technologies.

Sanjeev's experience spans domestic & international tenures in London & Hong Kong. In these assignments he has handled Finance, Investment Banking & Business Development Functions.

Sanjeev is a qualified Chartered Accountant , Company Secretary and an MBA from London Business School.
