Sanjay Sethi, Managing Director & CEO, Signature Agri Ventures Ltd.

Mr. Sanjay Sethi was recognised for his noteworthy contributions to improve the agribusiness and food security situation in African countries and he won the prestigious “The  Africa Food Prize 2013 Award” at Kampala, Uganda. He was also felicitated on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. He was also felicitated as per the traditions of Tivland in Nigeria by the then Minister of Commerce and Industry – Governor Samuel Ortom.

Mr. Sanjay Sethi led  Africa and Asia focused teams on agribusiness investment, developing and managing large commercial farms, agri infrastructure and agri business companies. Mr. Sethi undertook many infrastructure projects like setting up India’s first Mega Food Park for Patanjali Ayurved and India’s first Free Trade Warehousing Zone.  Mr. Sethi lives in Dubai and has held senior leadership positions in various reputed international companies in India, Africa and Middle East.  He started his career in 1991 from National Dairy Development Borard, and also worked for Hindistan Unilever, Sputnik Overseas, Premium Farm Fresh Produce, Tachnopak Advisors, Arshiya Internattional, Jain Irrigation, ETG and recently as Managing Director of Signature Agri Ventures Ltd. He is a Graduation in Agriculture and MBA from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA).

Mr. Sethi’s publications ‘Land of Opportunities - The Food Industry in India’ and  ‘Building Exponential Growth in India’s  Agricultural Exports’  have been widely referred by decision makers in government and private sector world over. Mr. Sethi has a distinguished track record as a Strategist, Entrepreneur,  Business Leader,  Change Agent and a  Thought Leader.  He was invited to speak at business forums all over the world on the topics of food security,  investment opportunities in Agriculture and building  Africa’s  Agribusiness. He has been a Founding Representative from his company to G8‘s “New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition” and  World Economic Forum’s “Grow Africa” initiative which transformed the investment climate in African Agriculture.


Sanjay Sharma, Co-founder & MD, Aye Finance

Sanjay Sharma co-founded Aye Finance, a young organization driving innovation that delivers customer centered and affordable loans to micro enterprises which had so far been excluded from the financial system in India. Sanjay considers it his calling, to transform the financing of underserved micro enterprise in India. Though hard business metrics determine the success in a job, Sanjay also measures the progress of Aye with the thousands of happy customers his organization has empowered and made self-reliant.

With his IIT-IIM pedigree, Sanjay’s stellar achievements spanning 30 years in consumer lending, are no surprise. His transformational leadership has pioneered the launch of direct banking in HDFC Bank in the 90s ; established consumer lending and credit card operations at ICICI; catalyzed StanChart(UAE) to top of the industry in customer satisfaction and made Max New York Life Insurance a leader in underwriting and  claims processes. In 2003 he set up Tamweel PJSC- the first sharia compliant Housing Finance company in UAE. This become the largest housing finance company in the country and consistently won the top industry awards in the region between 2003 and 2009.

Under Sanjay’s leadership, Aye Finance has become a vibrant and deeply engaged team that is rapidly setting new standards in building a quality loans portfolio in an inclusive manner.


Sanjay Siboo, Country Manager - Cloud Services, IBM India/South Asia

Sanjay Siboo is the Country Manager, Cloud Services, Offerings Management & Development for Global Technology Services (GTS) for IBM India/South Asia.

In his current role, Sanjay manages Cloud Services offerings portfolio and works closely with sales and coverage leaders for the positioning and deployment of various Cloud offerings for India/South Asia. In addition, he interacts with customers for positioning and strategizing cloud offerings. He also supports Business partner route for various cloud offerings which includes enablement, business plan. Prior to this role, Sanjay was Service Product Line Leader for System Services in ITS for ISA.

Sanjay has broad experiences in various aspects of business, ranging from business leadership, product management, account management and business development both from a technology and geographic perspective.

Sanjay holds a degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the BITS Pilani and executive PGDBM from SIBM Pune.

Sanjay Singal, Chief Operating Officer - Dairy & Beverages, ITC Limited

Sanjay Singal is the Chief Operating Officer for ITC’s  Dairy & Beverages business. In this role, he handles the P&L for the business encompassing all aspects including R&D,  Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and  Operations. Prior to that, he was Head of Marketing for the Foods business of Dabur India Limited handling brands like Real Fruit Juices. In a career spanning nearly 25 years, he has handled senior P&L responsibilities and Functional leadership in Marketing and Sales for Personal Care and Foods businesses in India and abroad.

Sanjay started his career with Hindustan Unilever Limited in 1995, after completing his MBA from IIM Bangalore. At Unilever. he handled various responsibilities across Sales & Marketing for over 11 years in India and overseas on brands like Fair & Lovely and Dove with Asia responsibilities. Post that, he joined Yum Restaurants International as Senior Marketing Manager where he handled the 'Pizza Hut' brand for South Asia from 2005 to 2007.

Sanjay is associated actively with various Industry associations like Indian Beverage Association and Indian Dairy Association.

At ITC, Sanjay has led the entry of ITC into Dairy category with the launch of Fresh Dairy and Dairy Beverage businesses. He is also a member of the Divisional Management Committee of ITC Foods.

He is based in Bangalore. His wife is an artist and homemaker, his Son is pursuing Undergrad course in US and daughter is in school.


Sanjay Singh, Founder, Swas Healthcare Pvt. Ltd

Sanjay Singh is an MBA from the prestigious management Institute, IIM Ahmedabad, with more than 10 yrs of experience in Healthcare Industry. He left his job with one of the top Pharmaceuticals companies in 2005 to set up India's first chain of Naturopathy Clinics and Hospitals, Swas Healthcare.

Swas Healthcare provides good quality, safe and affordable treatment for chronic diseases through the use of traditional medicine, namely Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and Yoga.

As a founder he has been advancing the mission of Swas Healthcare against all odds.


Sanjay Sinha, Country Manager (India) & BD Head (South Asia), Fortumo

Sanjay is a digital and mobile media professional, and is currently leading Fortumo, a global leader in carrier billing based mobile payment for India and South Asia as Country Manager - India & SA. Prior to this, he worked with Companies like Yahoo, ACL Mobile and Cellnext where he primarily worked on mobility domain. He brings a rich experience of digital and mobile, including mobile payments.


Sanjay Swamy, Managing Partner, Prime Venture Partners

Sanjay is well known for his founding role at ZipDial (now acquired by Twitter) and his role at mChek, the path breaking startup in secure payments, Sanjay has trodden the path of an entrepreneur all through his career. After completing his bachelor's degree in engineering, Sanjay headed to Paris where he earned his Master's degree.

After a stint at Xerox PARC in Palo Alto, Sanjay embarked on a journey to build world class teams and products that took him through startups like Ketera and Portal Software, mChek, Zipdial & Ezetap which he co?founded in 2010.

An active member of the community, Sanjay is a Rotarian and a charter member of TiE, a volunteer at iSPIRT, and organizes the Fintech Panel at the Nasscom Product Conclave. He also played a prominent role on the UIDAI project under the leadership of Nandan Nilekani. He is a frequent speaker and evangelist in the entrepreneurship and payments circuits in the country.

Sanjay Swamy, Former Volunteer, UIDAI

Sanjay Swamy is an Indian technologist. He is a mobile technology expert presently working with the Government of India's UIDAI. He was the CEO of mobile company mChek, a mobile security and payments solutions company.

Sanjay Swamy worked in the US before moving to India in 2004. 2004 he started building ketera india operations, then he became the CEO of mChek in 2006 and under his leadership mChek signed up several major banks, including ICICI, State Bank of India, Citibank, Visa and mobile telecom carriers AirTel & Tata as partners to bring his service to market. And he helped expand the company's operations to Sri Lanka in a partnership with Dialog.

He worked with mChek for four years before moving to UIDAI in March 2010 where he is working on the Mobile Strategy. He completed his degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Bangalore University in 1987. He later went to "Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace" and completed a degree in Avionics & Control Systems Engineering in 1989. Later he received his MS from University of Washington, Seattle in 1992.

Sanjay is a serial entrepreneur with deep experience in the payments industry. Sanjay is a Managing Partner of Angel Prime and one of the co-founders of Ezetap.

After completing his bachelor's degree in engineering, Sanjay headed to Paris where he learned to cuss fluently in French, while getting a Master's degree, one of which proved to be more invaluable than the other over time. A stint at Xerox PARC in Palo Alto provided a moment of epiphany and it's fair to say that things have never been to same since. Bitten by the desire to create, Sanjay embarked on a journey to build world beating teams and products that took him through startups like Ketera and Portal Software, mChek and Zipdial, which he co-founded in 2010.
