Sanjay Bhat, Enterprise Head, Ingram Micro


Sanjay Chaudhary, Partner, Tata Capital Growth Fund

Sanjay Chaudhary joined Tata Capital Private Equity in August 2010. Prior to joining the Tata Capital Growth Fund in April, 2015, he was with the Tata Capital Healthcare Fund where he led the investments in four companies and served on the board of 2 companies. He is experienced across private equity, transactions, and strategy consulting.

As a strategy consultant, he has extensively advised private equity funds and companies on transactions. Sanjay has led and supervised more than 30 transactions and related engagements that have included strategic and business due diligences, deal structuring, fund raising, negotiations, and monitoring of 100 day agenda, post transaction closure.

Prior to joining Tata Capital, Sanjay ran his own advisory practice focused on healthcare transactions and consulting. He was one of the founder members of the India practice of Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), a boutique strategy consulting firm based out of Palo Alto. He started the transactions and private equity practice of SDG in India.

Sanjay has around 20 years of experience and has an MBA from Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York city and Asian Institute of Management, Manila. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Sanjay started his career 2 decades ago with Ambassador Sky Chef (Flight Catering). Post this he moved to make his mark with the QSR Industry. Dominos Pizza, Baskin Robbins as COO, Barista Lavazza as CEO (South Asia and Middle East) and Om Pizzas and Eats (Master Franchisees for Papa John’s, Great Kebab Factory and Chili’s). He rejoined the Graviss Group as CEO for the QSR Division (Baskin Robbins, 6th Street Yogurt and Meats & More).

Sanjay is a Hotel Management graduate and an MBA in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. He is passionate about F&B Retail and has led the group’s strategic initiatives in distribution expansion and new product and format development.

Presented papers to MDP sessions for ICAI members  & AISEC students, Officers of Registrar of Companies, Department of Company affairs and taken innumerable career counseling sessions in Emerging management schools. Recently presented a paper on How to create Exceptional Enterprises in CII – MSME East Annual Seminar.

His experience in coordinating the Ernst & Young  “Entrepreneurship of the Year”  Award program  since its inception in India has enriched his knowledge about their expectations and growth needs. On the contrary, in Supporting  the Transaction Advisory services in M & A and Lead advisory deals, he has the rich understanding  of the PEs expectations in various target entities.

Sanjay Gujral, Regional Managing Director, Singapore, L Capital Asia

Sanjay Gujral is a part of the leadership team and responsible for risk management and investor relations at L Capital Asia, the Asian private equity business sponsored by LVMH SA, the French luxury conglomerate.

Backed by a strong corporate sponsor, L Capital Asia is a value-added investor focused on businesses that will benefit from growth in aspirational consumption in emerging Asian markets like China, India and South East Asia. Focus sectors include consumer brands, beauty & wellness, lifestyle retail, food & beverage, boutique hospitality and media & entertainment.
L Capital Asia raised US$ 636m for its first fund in 2010, and has to date made 10 investments across Asia. In India, L Capital Asia has invested in Genesis Luxury Fashion, Fabindia and PVR.

Mr Gujral possesses 18 years of experience in private equity, M&A and financial advisory. He joined L Capital Asia in April 2011 to lead the Firm’s operations in India and moved to Singapore in July 2012 to take on his current regional role. Prior to L Capital Asia, Mr Gujral was an Executive Director at Everstone Capital. Before moving to the buy-side in 2006, Mr Gujral spent 11 years in corporate finance advisory with Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young and Ambit Corporate Finance.

Mr Gujral holds a post-graduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and is a commerce graduate from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.


Sanjay Jain, Chief Product Manager (PMU), Aadhaar Project

Sanjay Jain, previously Product Manager with Google at their Bangalore office, looking after Google News, Google Maps and Map Maker, has also joined the UIDAI as Chief Product Manager.

He is also the Director of IIT Bombay Alumni Association and President of IITB Alumni Association, Bangalore Chapter. He holds a MS, Computer Science degree from UCLA and B. Tech, Computer Science degree from IIT Bombay.


Sanjay Jha, Founder - Hamara Congress, Congress Spokesperson

Sanjay Jha is the Executive Director of the world-famous Dale Carnegie Training operations in India, which has a global experience of having worked with over 400 of the Top Fortune 500 companies. In India, Dale Carnegie has worked with over 1200 corporate firms, multinational companies, public sector, government and NGOs and trained more than 160,000 Dale Carnegie graduates in the last nine years.

 

He has founded one of the world’s leading internet portals called CricketNext.Com which is now part of the Network 18 media Group.

 

Prior to starting Dale Carnegie , Sanjay was instrumental in setting up the private sector mutual fund industry in India , having worked as a Senior Vice President with ITC Threadneedle Asset Management ( part of BAT plc, UK) and as a Vice President , Alliance Capital ( New York, USA). His career in banking included stints with both Bank of America and ANZ Grindlays Bank where he worked in NRI marketing and operation services, product-technology training, retail banking and branch management. He started his career in sales with Bharat Petroleum.

 

Sanjay also co-launched a political blog called HamaraCongress.com during elections 2009 and plans to escalate it into a full-fledged portal with multiple new features in the future. He is a columnist and a blogger. Jha is also been the National Spokesperson  of the Indian National Congress party.

 

Jha completed his MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur and his Master’s in Economics from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, University of Pune. He graduated with distinction in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune.

 

Sanjay has also written a cricket anthology titled 11 - Triumphs, Trials and Turbulence in Indian cricket, two cricket quiz books and published his first collection of poems.  Jha has recently authored a book called The Superstar Syndrome (The Making Of A Champion), co-authored with Dr. Myra White, who is a Professor at the Harvard Medical School. This book is launched in August 2013.


Sanjay Kamlani, Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Pangea3 LLC

Sanjay is a co-founder and Co-CEO of Pangea3, a U.S.-based legal and patent services firm with more than 150 lawyers and engineers in Mumbai providing corporate, litigation and intellectual property related legal services to law firms and in-house legal departments in the U.S. and U.K. and Japan.

Prior to forming Pangea3, Sanjay was a member of the founding management team and the CFO & General Counsel of OfficeTiger—a professional support services outsourcing company recently acquired by R.R. Donnelley for more than $250 million and with a current employee base of more than 10,000. Sanjay’s earlier career experiences include positions with Amarchand & Mangaldas in Mumbai, India and PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City.

Sanjay Kamlani earned his undergraduate degree form Duke University; law degree (JD) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and his LLM from the New York University Law School. Sanjay is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars.
