Rajendra Barot, Senior Partner, AZB & Partners
Rajendra Barot, Senior Partner at AZB & Partners, earned his Bachelor of Law from the University of Bombay in 1994. He is a member of the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. He has been a partner of the Firm since its inception.
The focal areas of his practice include Dispute Resolution, Restructuring Of Companies and Mergers and Acquisitions with a special focus on insurance and mining.
Mr. Barot heads the Litigation and Arbitration Team of AZB’s Mumbai office. He has advised clients in a variety of forums including quasi-judicial tribunals, High Courts of several States in India and the Supreme Court of India, including for corporate commercial disputes, monetary suits, administrative actions and constitutional matters.
Mr. Barot has also advised several large insurance companies in connection with their entry into the insurance sector in India in the life insurance, non-life insurance and health insurance space by setting up new joint venture companies and also by acquiring a stake in existing insurance companies. He has advised on all aspects of transactions in the insurance sector, starting from structuring of the transaction, advising on various Indian legal issues, negotiating and drafting the transaction documents, up to filing of the necessary applications with the insurance regulator. Within the mining sector, he has advised clients in relation to acquisition and transfer of mining rights in relation in Major and Minor Minerals, including limestone, bauxite, aggregates and coal linkages.

Rajesh Batra is the CIO of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Prior to this, Rajesh was the CIO of Medicity, a super-specialty hospital in Gurgaon. He has been involved in strategizing IT for this hospital and the implementation thereof. Rajesh has worked in various capacities in IT over the last 18 years.

He holds a bachelor of engineering degree in computer science from MS University, Baroda and masters of business administration from Pune University.
Mr. Bhatia has approximately 11 years of experience in the education industry. He has been associated with the Company since its inception. He oversees the day to day operations of the company.

Mr. Rajesh Choudhary is the Chief Information Officer of CSB Bank. He’s spearheading the company’s technology transformation and is tasked with enhancing the digital capabilities of the Bank.
Mr. Choudhary has almost three decades of experience in technology leadership roles. He possesses global work exposure that spans across Europe, UK, UAE, Singapore and India.
His work experience lies majorly in Strategy, IT Infrastructure, Applications, Technology Risks, Finance, People, Vendors, Outsourcing, Off-shoring and Governance in various roles as IT Head and Regional/Country Head.
Prior to joining CSB Bank, he was associated with Barclays Bank, RBS, ICICI Bank and Bank of America, amongst others.

Rajesh Dalal, Former M.D. of J&J Medical & Venture Partner, OrbiMed Asia
Rajesh Dalal is a Venture Partner on OrbiMed’s Asia team. Prior to joining OrbiMed, Mr. Dalal spent more than 30 years with Johnson and Johnson (J&J) in Asia including the past five years as the head of M&A for J&J Medical in the Asia Pacific Region. In this role, he worked closely with scores of medical device companies in China, India and other parts of Asia. Mr. Dalal was previously the Managing Director of J&J Medical, India for six years with overall responsibility for the medical device businesses at Cordis, DePuy, Endo, Lifescan, Ethicon and Hospital Supplies. A native of Mumbai, Mr. Dalal is a mechanical engineer from the prestigious IIT Madras, and holds an M.B.A. from Bajaj Institute, Bombay.
