Puneet Gupta, , Founder Member IFMR Trust & CFO IFMR Holdings

Puneet is a founding member of IFMR Trust and its group companies. He serves as a Director on the Trustee Company that manages the governance of the IFMR Trust Group. He has played multiple executive roles across the IFMR Trust Group since 2008, the last one being as the CFO of IFMR Holdings, an entity that has promoted IFMR Capital and IFMR Rural Channels. Prior to that Puneet was a part of IFMR Rural Finance,  an entity that conceptualised the KGFS model, used by IRCS as well as built a strong technology platform to offer multiple financial services to customers.

Puneet represents IFMR Trust as a promoter director on the board of several group companies and also serves on the board of IIT Madras’ Rural Technology Business Incubator.

His formal career began with ICICI Bank where he worked for a period of 7 years in various roles and capacities. Amongst other roles, he coordinated the work of the micro finance practice at ICICI Bank and his responsibilities included identification and development of new channels and products for reaching out micro financial and rural financial services. He has worked extensively towards the creation of facilitative infrastructure for the delivery of micro financial services in India and has worked with microfinance related equity funds to help them raise capital.

He is a commerce graduate with a Master’s degree in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand.

A seasoned HR leader with a diversified experience across industries and verticals. He has worked in IT, ITES, R&D and BFSI verticals for India, North America, Middle East and Singapore and has been pivotal in forming HR strategies and compliances for Fortune 300 organizations.

He has worked with renowned companies like Hero Group, Dell, IBM, Stryker Global and currently, is a Vice President & Head – HR and Training with India’s largest Insurance web aggregator, Policybazaar.com. Under his leadership, Policybazaar has seen immense growth in manpower and won several awards in the HR arena including BML Munjal Awards for Business Excellence through Learning and Development, “Gurgaon Best Employer” and “Great Places to Work”.

Puneet Nanda, Managing Director & CEO, ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Limited

Mr. Puneet Nanda is Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Limited with responsibility and oversight of all verticals across its diversified alternative asset management platform.  Mr. Nanda joined ICICI Venture in June 2020.  Prior to joining ICICI Venture, Mr. Nanda served as Deputy Managing Director of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, one of India’s largest life insurance companies with an AUM of over USD 20 billion as of March 31, 2020.  Mr. Nanda served on the Board of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance from August 2010 until June 2020.  He joined the company at its start-up stage in January 2001 to head the Investments function. During his 19+ years at the company, he was responsible for initially building and thereafter nurturing the high quality investments program of the company across asset classes including public and private equity, public and private debt, real estate and strategic investments.  Subsequently, since 2010, his role was expanded to include oversight of other business functions of the company.  He has also served on the Board of ICICI Prudential Pension Funds Management Company as its Non-Executive Director between 2009 and June 2020. An engineer-MBA by qualification, his experience spans around 28 years in financial services having worked in ICICI Securities and J.P. Morgan earlier.

Puneet Suri, Director, Brand Capital

Puneet did his graduation in Engineering (Electronics & Communication) from Punjab Engineering College followed by MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad. He has over thirteen years work experience in private equity, principal investments and consulting/ advisory services. His advisory experience prior to private equity career focused on financial modeling and feasibility assessment, transaction origination, business valuation, business planning and implementation assistance.

Puneet started his career with Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. and thereafter worked for KSA Technopak, E & Y and A.T. Kearney. His last assignment was as Senior Vice President with Sun Group, a leading principal investor and private equity fund manager in Russia, India and other emerging markets.

Puneet is interested in reading and golf.

Punit Shah, Partner & Co-Head Tax, KPMG in India

Punit Shah is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with a post qualification experience of 25 years. He is a member of KPMG Global Steering Committees on private equity and real estate funds.

Prior to joining KPMG, he was a partner with RSM for 10 years and thereafter was the national leader of the Financial Services (Tax and Regulatory Services) practice of PwC.

Mr Shah has in-depth knowledge and experience of banking and financial services laws in India. He renders extensive professional advice to Private Equity /Real estate/Venture Capital Funds, Indian and Foreign Banks, Insurance Companies, Non-Banking Financial Companies, Mutual Funds, etc.

He has been a regular contributor of articles on the above subjects in leading financial newspapers as well as journals of several professional Institutes. He has spearheaded several initiatives in making representations to the Government on behalf of the industry.

He has been a speaker for various forums including several Professional Institutes, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and International Fiscal Association.

Purvin Patel, Business Head, Radhakrishna Foodland Pvt Ltd

Mr. Purvin Patel is the "Business Head" at Radhakrishna Foodland Private Ltd., for over 7 years now.  He joined the business as "Chief Operating Officer" in October 2006 from “ASDA Wal*Mart, a $40 bn retail giant in the United Kingdom, where he spent over 17 years in various Senior Management capacities, in areas of Retail operations, including Store management, Operations, HR and Profit improvement.

Purvin has spent more than 23 years of his career with Retail (Asda Wal*Mart) & Supply Chain Management (Foodland) businesses.  He has considerable experience building and organically grooming businesses in both multinational and growth companies in emerging markets.

Foodland serves world brands like McDonalds, YUM, Pepsico, Mondelez, P&G, Unilever etc. just to name a few.
