NSE Tech Conclave 2018
The start-up ecosystem in India has matured in the last five years and has seen substantial growth across multiple sectors. However, presently the growth of startups is mainly being financed by venture capitalists (VCs) and private equity (PE) funds and there are approximately 1,400 VC/PE-backed companies in India. Till today, public markets are largely considered for exits and are not seen as viable scaling-up option.
This comes as a surprise indeed, when the markets and investors are extremely bullish on the trade environment. Also, companies have wider market access through public float and public markets help them chart the next phase of their growth story.
The NSE Tech Conclave is organized with an intent to create a conducive environment for startups by helping them evaluate public market platforms and providing them right tools to prepare their life as listed entities.
