About the Training

Built for the New Investment Reality
Valuation expectations have reset significantly after the funding boom of 2021–22. Traditional frameworks no longer capture the nuanced economics of AI, SaaS, and platform businesses and investors who rely on outdated models risk mispricing assets on both sides of the table.
This two-day intensive is built for PE and VC professionals who need stronger, more defensible valuation frameworks for the companies they are backing and evaluating today. It brings together methodology, mechanics, and market realism in a format designed for practitioners, not theorists.
Each session is hands-on, grounded in live deal scenarios, and structured so that participants leave with tools they can use the following week, not just concepts to remember.

Overview

Across four structured sessions, participants move from first principles contrasting classical and modern valuation methodologies through to investor-grade financial modelling, AI-driven data intelligence, and the real-world dynamics of deal structuring and negotiation.

The curriculum is deliberately hands-on. Each session combines conceptual grounding with exercises drawn from live market scenarios, including SaaS, AI-native, and digital platform businesses. Participants will leave with a set of reusable frameworks, model templates, and negotiation strategies deployable immediately in their investment workflows.

By the end of the programme, attendees will be equipped to benchmark valuations across sectors, build robust scenario models, leverage alternative datasets, and navigate complex deal structures including down rounds, structured equity, and liquidation preference negotiations.
